However I couldn't make myself not write a comment on a sweet girl who has helped me the last few times. Carribu has its ups and downs as far as service is concernered, but Emily at Lyndale and west 66th has been so extremely sweet and helpful. They we're slammed this morning and somehow Emily was calm and charismatic as far as my order was concerned. Upgrading a few stars from a previous disaster at this location. The shop looks much better with an upgrade although there seems to be less employees than before or even at other Caribou joints. When ordering a simple brewed I prefer to have barista simply turn around, pour the cup, place on the lid and sheath, all done is :30. Some Caribous have me wait in the corner while they prepare the longer processing drinks. Seems to be a management decision at various shops to keep the incoming line flowing, although this place didn't have a flowing line. It took longer to place the order with one person ahead of me as the customer and barista kept trying to figure out some kind of coupon. While waiting for my brew I could clearly see all the priority is on the drive-through. Coffee was the right temp and brewed properly. I stop in here every Monday to grab bagels for the office. Everyone here is sooo friendly, seriously so nice especially for being the morning warriors they are! Jeanne is the sweetest - she's also on cashier and she's been nice enough to make it a point to remember my name since I'm in every week! For myself I usually grab a latte or Vanilla Hazelnut drip and a Lox bagel or Supernova Lox Bagel. Then I'll grab a dozen bagels which comes with 2 tubs of cream cheese for about $16. You can choose which bagels are included or you can get a random assortment. I typically go with the random assortment and they also give a good variety! Caribou Coffee is chain of coffee shops in 15 states, mostly concentrated in the midwest. There are dozens in Minnesota alone. This location is just off the I-494 and the 100, in a strip mall near the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel. It is a large space, generally similar in feel to the Green Mermaid, but offers some differences. This is my favorite caribou. The drive thru gets extremely busy in the morning, but they crank us out fast. The workers are helpful, ask for your perk number, and always make sure to give you the best value. As someone who is lactose intolerant I appreciate that they ask before they do whip cream, say an "almond milk medium mocha" as they hand it to me and tell me to have a nice day. It is that extra reassurance that someone paid attention to my order of the 100s they are making. read more

I liked this location a lot. It was nice to have caribou coffee and Einstein brothers bagels in the same store. I got a bagel breakfast sandwich that was good and a pumpkin pie coffee which was really really good. The atmosphere inside is nice but a little confusing on where to go and order since they have a couple of places that look like you can order from. The biggest reason I don't go to Starbucks or Caribou more is because they don't have a big selection of things besides coffee. This place offers a nice mix with both stores being together. I generally don't write reviews on such quick interactions (I was in the store all of 2 minutes) but I was so impressed with the staff, I just had to speak up! The store was clean and bright, and I was greeted with a big smile and a "good morning!" from Noah, the barista behind the counter. Noah was friendly and engaging and you could see that he was genuinelly happy to be at work. He recommended a coffee pairing that would complement the scone I ordered, and pointed out the trivia question of the day. Beyond this, the staff was all smiles while working thru the morning rush, which can be intense in busy shops and usually produces baristas with crazy eyes and short tempers. This team is well organized, efficient, and most importantly to me, calm. There is nothing worse than waiting in line for a cup of coffee only to be greeted by an obviously stressed barsita who barely makes eye contact with you and rushes you out the door. This Caribou has a great staff and I will definetly make a point to stop into this location over the others I pass on my way to work in the future! read more

This location can't handle the customers that go there. It's gridlock in the mornings, plain and simple, don't expect to get in and out. Expect to wait inside or in the drive thru for at least 10 minutes, no lie, picture standing in line or sitting in your car for 10 minutes before you get to order. The last few times I've gotten bagels here, I've been sorely disappointed. Last time, my Spicy Devil topper came with dry shriveled jalapeños. This time, it came with some odd plastic shreds in the box that I didn't notice until after I ate the first half of my bagel - which was hard to do in and of itself, as I had to pull what looked like a beard hair off of it first. It's a typical Caribou. Pretty large, with the standard cabin decor. What I like best about this place is its staff. The regular staff are very friendly and accommodating. Despite the warm service, I find that the seating area itself is a degree or two cooler than I'd often like, both in summer and in winter.
