fourth time eating here. returned for a second meal because first was good, good enough to go back for a second. second was over done in every way possible, a chicken dish so overly cooked and dry, it was the same dish i had ordered the first time, no one would believe they were the same menu item. returned a third time hoping the second visit was a fluke and ordered the same dish again, left two thirds on my plate. so why did i return a fourth time? because, for some unknown reason, onr of my dinner companions thinks their food is f a b u l o u s. being the good sport i am, i went, there were five of us, this time i ordered a completely different meal i ordered red snapper. what a mistake that was. completely dried out, so terribly over cooked, it was not worth eating, so i didn't. plain steamed potatoes, an overly thick sauce, coarse and woody asparagus....and a waiter with the personality and communication skills of a doorknob. clearly, this place has a loyal and dedicated following, what they're loyal to and dedicated to, i can't figure out. next time this group gets together for dinner, if this restaurant is the place, our group will shrink by two, we're not returning. had we not been with friends who are loyalists, i would have returned my food. three bad meals out of four.....no thanks. read more

Delicious food and great service, you really can't go wrong here. The almond crusted tilapia is amazing, as are their salads and crab cakes.

Best Italian in town, pizza is amazing, cannolis are to die for. Staff is very friendly, especially the owner, Cathy. Highly recommended.

This was my first visit to Cariera's. I had the Veal Marsala. The veal itself was fine, but it was overwhelmed by the sauce. The sauce was too sour tasting for my taste. I give it a 2.5 at most. My sister had the same dish and liked it. You get either soup or salad with the meal. No potato, vegetable, or pasta side comes with the meal. Everything else is ala carte. It cost me an extra $2 for a side of pasta. The pasta was terrible. The salad, with the creamy house dressing, was OK - but not great. You do not get bread or rolls with the meal. You get something that looks like a bread stick, but is soft and is garlic flavored. I would much rather have a good roll or bread. I ordered the house Chianti. It was not very good. The server/service was good, but he put somebody else's drink on my bill by mistake. At first glance the prices look pretty good. But if you start adding ala carte items to get what you might get WITH your meal at a different Italian restaurant, they are really are starting to get on the expensive side. read more

Great food. He had veal piccata, one of our favs, I couldn't finish the Manicotti. Delicious but too much. Our server was very pleasant and promptly attended to our requests. If I ever get back here, it's a 'must do again' place. read more

Good Italian food for a very reasonable price. Bolognese sauce was very good and the pasta is homemade.

First time visit, I met some friends for lunch. The food was pretty good (I had pizza) and others had pasta dishes. The server was very nice and attentive. However, what put me off about this place is that it is very OLD and has almost a musty atmosphere. They seriously need to move to a newer building or completely remodel this one. I will not come back because I enjoy eating out in a pleasant atmosphere, and here I felt like I was eating in a basement. read more

One of my favorites.......there isn't one thing one the menu I've had and didn't like. Salads are fresh, appetizers are great starters and the main course dishes are amazing. We absolutely love this place. We live about 5 mins away. Their food is amazing, service is great and they deliver. Which is just an added bonus. We always get carry out. And while waiting I enjoy a glass of Pinot noir. Ambiance is great and like I said, staff is great and makes you feel at home. We were visiting the area and saw the huge selection of restaurants. Seeing many chain restaurants we decided to give Cariera's a try. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere, the food, the service were all good. The pricing was reasonable we each had a seafood dish, one salmon linguini, the other seafood ravioli. The portions were slightly small on the ravioli but the pasta never seemed to end with the salmon. There is probably better Italian out there, but for the price I doubt this can be beat. read more

My now-husband and I come here for all our special occassions, so I decided that I wanted to have by bridal shower here as well. It was absolutely perfect! People raved about the food, drinks and many stated that it was the best shower they had been to. The staff is amazing! I cannot express my love for this place enough. My boyfriend and I absolutely love this restaurant! They always have unique dishes that never disappoint us. You get a lot of great quality food for a very reasonable price! I would much rather go here than any other Italian restaurant in the area. They typically have music on the weekends and it is a nice and relaxing atmosphere. My son recently got married in Denver and came back to visit for the first time since that event. My husband and I decided to gather the family together so that his new bride could meet everyone and celebrate the occasion. We had 5 choices to select from on the menu and everything was cooked to perfection. We have some pretty picky people who are used to good food and not one person had anything but glowing comments about how their food was prepared, whether it was the lasagna, filet marsala, lamb chops, salmon or chicken parmesan. The service was top notch and made all of our guest feel welcome and well taken care of. Although we had 50 guests, all of the meals were delivered timely so we could all eat together. I was also pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the total bill was. We had an open bar and even with the food and appetizers the total was lower than I had anticipated. I would highly recommend Cariera's for any special occasion. We dine there often and always have a great meal. read more

One of, if not thee most amazing restaurants of all time, as you enter beyond a wall of wine themed grapes and clever special board, to a dwelling of dimmed lighting and calming wall colors. Splashed along the wall adjacent to the bar, you can find many relatives and friends from long ago of the Carieras family legacy displayed in black and white with Mish moshed home style frames. Very charming! The food was fantastic in so many ways, the minestrone was wonderful and owned the homemade mark of approval for sure! The bread was garlicy and scrumptious! I ordered the tender beef Wellington medium rare of course! And it was nothing short of incredible! Everything was so fresh and clean and the servers all buzzed in their happy work environment, as a clever blues musician (mike) softly played, and sang for the crowd, I enjoyed my meal, and a much needed glass of cabernet. Truly a place out of this world, and truly a tough rival to any Italian restaurant within many miles! read more
