This is the worst biscuits and gravy I've ever had. It looks gross and it tastes worse. It's a packet of offbrand white gravy that you can buy at the grocery store three for a dollar. And it has a sliced sausage link in it. The gravy clearly wasn't cooked with the sausage and has no flavor at all. I've never eaten here before, and I will definitely never eat here again. read more

The original location on Ford road in Canton Mi for 15 years now. 2nd location on Fort in Riverview Mi run by Eddie 13 years now, and Nick at Canton location. Almost identical interior design and beautiful Christmas decorations. She had her favorite the Double Meat Gyro Platter , fresh Gyro cut off the rotating spit for the Win. Started with a outstanding unique version of Mushroom Soup, so thick and delicious WOWED. I was told have to try the new Slider trio with Fries, oh yeah Wonderful. Hand Patty on a bed of Grilled Onions and Toasted Slider Buns. They hooked me up with Toum Garlic Sauce , I smeared heavily on those sliders OMG marvelous a must try. Been a regular at Riverview location since opening, always a full house of regular customers. Frosty the Snowman got Nick's name in window, I think Eddie has one in Riverview too. I have nothing but love for this place. The breakfast I ordered from here was delightful. Extra large eggs (and they were), sausage links that tasted like it came fresh from a farm, and the most flawlessly cooked hash browns known to man. Them potatoes were special. My mouth waters thinking about them. Their Rueben is also something to be amazed about..so.yummy in my tummy. The Soup was a disaster. I have been to this location twice so far. The second visit is due to how well I was treated the first time. I really like the atmosphere and the attention provided as a patron. During a time within our society where customer service is just about a foregone conclusion, I appreciate the kindness exuded here. The salads are beautiful, and the food is hot! After going to Ikea, we stopped at Parthenon Coney Island for breakfast. It's located in a strip mall near a Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. It was really bright and cheerful inside. The space is large and open. There is a lot of seating, mostly in booth form. The place doesn't have much decoration as you would expect from a "parthenon" but it was very clean and nice. The menu is gigantic. Most of the food items are the same as your standard Detroit Coney Island. I got a standard breakfast of eggs, hashbrowns, meat and toast. Everything was prepared well and was served quickly. The waitress was attentive and efficient. I'm rarely in Canton but if I am I would gladly return here. read more

I will never go there again and I will tell my family, friends, and social media followers to avoid this place at all cost. Horrible experience. There was 1 other table when we walked in. We got our drinks fast......13 mins later the "server" stopped what she was doing to come take our order. During that 13 minute wait a nice white couple came in and they also got their drinks fast then almost immediately got to place their order....yes before us. An excellent diner. I have been dining at this terrific restaurant for eleven years and i have always received excellent service and delicious food. I almost always end up taking home food because of their generous portions. Their line cooks are excellent and will cook your burgers or steak to your liking. My friends like it so much I rarely have to cook when I have company. We walk the three blocks over, then finish the evening playing cards at my place. I went here to get a soup and sandwich but when I arrived to pick up my order none of the staff was wearing their masks correctly. All of them had their nose out. I almost left and said forget my food, it made me very uncomfortable. I will never be coming back and will not recommend this place to others. It is not safe to eat in a restaurant where clearly they don't take Covid guidelines serious. Also there is a really awful smell throughout the restaurant. Food was not memorable. I am always inclined to like a coney place, I am a Detroiter. I had a good time here, place was clean and service was friendly. I took my dad as my mother is in her shopping mode and he is bored and hates to shop, going out with me is a good reason to beg off. It is never hard to convince him to go for a coney or gyro anyway. He is where I get my taste for diners, coney islands and dive places from. The food was good here. He had a gyro combo with rice and a mini greek salad. All of it was well done and tasty renditions, I know because he gave me bites. I had a bowl of chili special which had extra meat, onions and cheese and a side of fries which I dipped into this concoction. Unhealthy and risky heartburn wise but that is why I take omeprazole anyway, might as well put it to the test, besides I felt like chili. He was very happy because I let him pay. He is so old school. All in all we were pleased with the place. He thinks it needs more tables though as he hates booths at his age and belly girth. After sampling several Coney's in the area this one is my favorite. I feel that when one visits a coney - you know what to expect. You're not going there to get the best food you've ever had - you're going to a place that isn't pretentious, has decent food, decent service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Parthenon has all that and more. Perhaps most importantly, the food here is consistent. I've gone to so many other coneys where the food is great one day and crap the next. I live less than a mile away from this place and have frequented this place many times and I can say with confidence that this place is consistent beyond any other coney in the area. As for the service, it's good. They'll greet you quickly at the door and they're there to refill drinks when needed as well. A nice touch is that the owner, Nick, is always there, too. I feel like a lot of establishments don't understand the value that having a manager visit a table or an owner being on hand to greet and assist their customers. This place does. I think the one minus I'd give them is the fluorescent lighting is a bit intense but this isn't enough to impact the score at all. So if you're looking for a Coney and want to be sure you won't be disappointed to satisfy that craving go here. You won't be disappointed. read more

Let me start by saying I was happy with the service. My problem is that everything we ordered was processed premade food. The place is situated in the same parking lot of a GFS supply store and I have no doubt they make use of the logistics. The fried mushrooms and cauliflower in the sampler were frozen slightly at the center, making it clear to me it was from a bag (my guess is from next door), the hamburger was of the premade hockey puck variety...again, my guess is GFS. When I go to a restaurant, I expect to get something better than I can make it home... That's part of the point... If all you're doing is just reheating up premade food from the supply store, where is the skill Involved? Why am I paying for something I can easily do at home myself? The waitress said that they do have fresh made, But it wasn't an anything I ordered... I don't think it's too much to ask for a coney island to make a handmade hamburger patty, but whatever. I have been a regular at Parthenon for a while and they always are very friendly. I notice that some of their prices are cheaper than other Coney Islands. You get decent sized portions in each dish and the breakfast food is good. I definitely would recommend for locals or visitors. read more

This restaurant is great good food if you are ordering breakfast or a salad BUT I gave this review 1 star because I ordered off one of the cards that was advertising very moist thick Crab Cakes that was on the table. Went here for dinner tonight as it's in my 'hood and very close. I keep forgetting I can practically walk there. This was my 2nd visit. Our waitress seemed kind of dip-waddy and coney places like this seem to love to employ young hot teen girls. LOL. I don't care what they look like as long as the service was good...she was obviously very new and trying, anyway. Had a greek salad with chicken, chicken was way too over-done but I will still eat the leftover that I took home. Once the chicken soaks up the dressing all up in there, it'll be perfect. Daughter had a gyro, friend had chili cheese fries. No complaints. It's typical coney food, pretty large menu. I spied a neighboring table who had ordered an omelet and it looked huge. In fact, I ate here a while back and ordered breakfast and it was very good. Clean restaurant with pleasant, new decor, even the manager/owner man came to tables asking how everything was. 3 stars for now just because my chicken was so over-done...but as a general rule, something has to be pretty frickin' bad before I will complain or send something back, anywhere. Okay, I'm a Detroiter... and you know Detroit is known for their good Coney Islands...and most are 24 hrs... the only down side about living in Westland is that the coney's around here are not 24 hrs :(.. anywho This Coney dissapointed me, my hubby and I were starving and had a taste for some coney. I ordered a corned beef on rye with swiss and cole slaw. My husband had a cheesburger and chilli cheese fries... My corned beef was not seasoned at all... the coleslaw wasnt to tasty either ... I was highly dissapointed. My hubbys burger was okay.. however the chill cheese fries had a tiiiiinnny bit of chilli and was all cheese... wtf!!!!! its called CHILLI AND CHEESE FRIES!!!! Our waters had a film on them with things floating in the ice. We paid for and drank bottled water instead. The waitress was nice but the food was less than average. Here's the thing, when you go to a resturant I will see if the place is clean. This place has exceeded my expectations. 1. The bathrooms were clean. 2. Food was cheap. 3. Good food! 4. The coffee was hit and it was continously coming. 5. Our waitress FeFe...she was so nice, she carried herself very well. It's good to see people happy at work. Go to Coney Island Parthenon Coney Island on Ford Rd. for a corned beef sandwich, fries and a sprite. The total comes up to $16.38. Lady brings my receipt to the table. I walk up to the counter to pay. My card is swiped for $275.25! Nick "the manager" comes out and says "Expensive meal huh" and laughs. The transaction is post voided. (still have to wait for my money to return) But wait! The manager says "ok now I want to swipe it for the right amount" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
