Some of the best pizza in metro Detroit. I have been eating there for almost 50 years..

First things first their meat sauce is very good! It reminds me of the sauce I make at home which is very good. However, we ordered their pizza tonight for dinner and I have to say it was the greasiest pizza I have had in my life. Needless to say, I had really bad stomach pains and had to go to the bathroom immediately after getting home! I hate when that happens! We have not ruled this restaurant out yet only because we love the meat sauce. We will come back to order Italian dishes on the menu and see how well that tastes. We got a side of meat sauce and ranch to dip the yummy breadsticks. We absolutely loved the breadsticks and meat sauce. read more

I realize that it's been many years since dining at Deluca's restaurant. It still looks the same as I remember. Decidedly, too much time has passed since my last visit. I was there for a group event and they served their delicious antipasto salad, homemade breadsticks, Mostaccioli and pizzas. Even with the preset menu, it was all really tasty with great flavors! The sauce, although simple, was rich with a deep traditional taste. This place has been in business for decades and that homemade essence shines through. I plan to return to order many more dishes and have the full experience. read more

The quality of the food was amazing.the ribs are good. The pasta is out of this world and the prime rib is wonderful! Every server is exceptionally friendly and attentive. me and my wife ate dinner here today . She had broasted chicken that was so over cooked it looked like Chicken Jerkey . the skin was dried and shriveled and the meat was like leather . I asked for extremely hot soup and had to ask for it to be reheated . the bread sticks might have been hot before they served them but they were tough and not warm.I rarely ever leave a revue but this was poor service and a cook that does not know how to broast chicken . read more

I've been coming to DeLuca for about 10 years for our company retirement parties. They do a very nice job of serving and cooking the food. We got a selection of food certain family style and everything is always delicious. It is your typical old school Italian restaurant. read more

Service was quick. Rolls were hot. Meal of prime rib, mashed potatoes and broccoli and salad. Ribs, lasagna, corn, baked potato and soup. Everything was hot and delicious although the chicken noodles soup was brand. We got 2 mini cannelloni were delicious. Ate one before taking pic. read more

We arrived just before 5 pm on a Thursday night. As we entered the dining area we saw some whimsical artwork and maps of Italy on the walls. The place was hopping but they still managed to find a table for two right away. Before I could even pick up the menu, the waitress brought a basket of warm-from-the-oven breadsticks and beverages. We ordered our meal and the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. It was so very tasty! There's nothing quite like eating Italian food cooked to perfection in a restaurant that looks authentically Italian. read more

The food was despicable!!! This was a carry out order and it was absolutely horrible!!! Got rib and shrimp combo. The ribs were very old and dry. The shrimp weren't cooked and coleslaw was a joke!! Coleslaw had no dressing it was just sliced cabbage and carrots and not an ounce of dressing. Fries were extremely over cooked. I mean just hard as a rock. What a disgusting meal. The spaghetti and meatballs was dry. And they gave me only one meatball when I was supposed to get two. You should treat your carry out customers like you treat your dine in customers. And that goes for all restaurants. When I called my order the lady who took my order was very rude and short with me. I should have taken that as a sign. Great old school pizza and Italian establishment. Came here on a Saturday evening. They don't take reservations, so we had to wait 45 minutes for a table for 7. They have all the good basics, pizza, Italian dishes. You can't go wrong with the pizza here, great way to feed the masses for not alot of dough. We started with the antipasto salad, we had a medium and it was huge. The dressing is good, not too sweet. We finished with spunoni ice cream for dessert, it was fantastic! We came here for a family get together. It was my first time and I have a feeling we will be back! read more

This restaurant needs a desperate makeover it's so old and dirty. The health department needs to investigate the filthy kitchen and bathrooms. Two other review said they seen a mice run across the floor. Omgs! Well that did it for me! Will never be eating or having banquet parties. This owner needs to wake up and look around inside his restaurant before he gets a lawsuit of someone getting food poisoning and ended up in the hospital ..also should clean up all the paper wrapping outside.. I have mixed feelings about this one. We dined here a few weeks back. The food was so so I belive there's potential for better. I ordered the moscholi and my husband ordered Prime rib he liked it. We dropped in on New Years Eve. Excellent service by Megan was for openers! I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs in their marinara sauce. It was absolutely delicious and I could only eat half of the generous portions that was accompanied by a fresh salad. My wife ordered the fried shrimp and a baked potato. It too was a generous portion and mouth watering. My son went for the Mostaccioli Parmigiana also served with a fresh salad. We have visited DeLucas for over 40 years now and the Italian cuisine has for ever been consistent. I had loss one of my glass lenses that evening but even with one eye you can see there is no better place for family dinners, Romantic dining or stuff yourself with that fantastic pizza. One of the last restaurants like this around, kind of old school. Mom & pop but still special, special occasion type of food. It is comforting. The food ranges from pretty good to just okay. Writing mostly because the service today was impeccable. CINDY was one of the best servers ever. She knew what we needed before we even knew. Was quick to come by with waters, bread, and boxes. This was about a catering order. We ordered a half pan antipasto salad as it states it serves 15 people. We had a party with 12 women who are not big eaters. The salad was long gone before everyone was able to get some. To be honest when I picked it up I thought it was a mistake as it looked so small and thought this is not going to be enough. In reality this salad would be stretched thin to serve 10 people. It tasted good with their great dressing but for 42.00 dollars was not worth the price at all. If you have more than 10-12 people I would get the full pan for 20 bucks more. read more

Who's answering the phone for carry out?!!! She's horrible! She is the nastiest mean old lady I've ever spoken to. She is not helping your business at all. We drive about an hour away to come there and get pizza and pasta and the food is always excellent. However, arguing with someone on the phone while you're trying to place an order is a huge turn off and I think we'll find a closer place that has better customer service in the future read more

My in-laws started coming here when they were a young married couple in the 1950's. The tradition continues with us. The antipasto salad is delicious (though I recommend the dressing on the side because it can get soggy.) They also have delicious breadsticks and our favorite, pizza. i ordered a medium square pizza with pepperoni and ham. i got home and was very disappointed no ham on it and there were mushrooms which neither one of us like. So I called and the manager said all she could do is remake it if I brought the other one back. Since I live over 20 miles away I just kept it and we picked the mushrooms off. So I paid for an item I didn't get and they charge 3.8% to use a card. I won't be going back there. read more

Loads of take out orders will a special door to pick up. A true Silcilian restaurant with full bar and banquet room. Started with a Medium Antipasto Salad and Bread Basket fresh outta the oven. She had Italian Wedding Soup . We ordered the large house Special Pizza Wowed takes me back to my childhood. I ordered a marvelous dish Mixed Gnocchi n Ravioli filled with Sausage smothered with Sicilian Spicy Cream Sauce OMG one of the very best Pasta dishes ever eaten . I'm so addicted to this sauce which I had leftovers for next day. A full menu of Broasted Chicken and Prime Rib be on our next visit. Really don't know why none of our local media never mentions this place. 67 years you know they doing it right, oh yeah prices 30 percent lower than those Pizza chain's. Best prime rib anywhere. It is always perfectly cooked and seasoned. Italian restaurant, so great Italian food. But the prime rib is the best. Comes with 3 sides and fresh warm breadsticks. Lots of food. Love the spaghetti sauce. Waitresses you get to know, because the staff stay, so they must like it there also. The service is fast and efficient. They also serve mini cannolis. 3 in an order. So, so good. Light and fresh. Yummy. The restaurant is busy with tables with checked tablecloths. Same owners since I have been coming here for over 30 years. Traditional outdated feel in the restaurant. As most older Italian restaurants have. The host (one of the owners), and the young girl hostesses could be more welcoming and friendly, since they are the first impression for the restaurant. Maybe they are just tired? This was a very large family dinner and they did a great job making sure all tables had food around the same time as the others and we had plenty of water and pop. That's not an easy task with over 60 people but they did it well. We had a great antipasto salad, supreme pizza and the crust was amazing! I could have eaten the whole basket of breadsticks if it weren't for the the amazing salad and pizza too, lol. I wasn't the only one, we all seemed drawn to the perfectly chewy, fluffy, garlic bread sticks. And my son who eats light, ate 4-6 helpings of the family platter of pasta and he ate the leftovers later that night for dinner ( his choice)! read more

Visiting the Detroit area from Tampa Bay, our family suggested we go to one of their favorites, Deluca's. I ordered the lasagna and judge this to be THE best lasagna I have ever eaten. I hadn't been here since I was a little kid, but we came here after my grandpa's funeral and WOW it really brought the day up a few notches lol.
