I was in town for work and away from my home dealership in Georgia and noticed that my truck needed an oil change. I took it to Carl black chevrolet on 6/5/2026 and was charged an astounding 242 dollars for an oil change and tire rotation. The same service that my home dealership would charge me around 100 bucks for. only come here if you are in the mood to get scammed and screwed over. Shame on you. read more

Rude employees. They just simply don't care. I called for a service quote to have a specific item replaced. They refused to give me anything over the phone and wanted me to schedule a diagnostic. The diagnostic was to be $120 and they were backed up so I would be without my car for minimum 2 weeks. THEN they'll START working on the car. So realistically 3 weeks minimum. We bought a brand new 2024 Traverse from this dealer and we've been having brake issues ever since. It seems like they do not want to take responsibility for this and it is impossible to get ahold of anyone willing to help. Multiple voicemails to the service manager have gone unanswered and the sales department are quick to take your money but are not willing to help after selling you a car with problems. give a lower rating if it were possible. Took my car for some serious engine work. Thought they did a fine job until I had another mechanic look at it. They left coolant hoses unattached, charged me for hours of labor for nothing, said they replaced my serpentine belt but never did (i paid for it), and tried saying i needed rear brakes and rotors when my car doesn't even have rotors. It has shoes and drums. They also broke my radiator and tried to say it just happened when they turned the car on. Tried to show them pictures and proof they didn't do the job and all the did was refuse phone calls and acted like they did nothing wrong. They're liars and thieves. By far the worst Chevrolet dealership in Nashville and potentially the worst I've ever been to. I'll spare the details, but this place is a lose-lose. New car sales are dishonest and disingenuous. I thought, heck I can still buy here and it won't impact me. The GM, Gary, didn't support in any way when things went south with my new vehicle. He was about as fake as his teeth and turned his back on the situation. Then when it finally made it over to service, they completely dropped the ball on timing and communication. The bill also was higher than expected and more than other dealers quoted for the same work. I called around after and got quotes, shame on me for not doing that before. But hey I thought you could trust things would be consistent across Chevrolet. I guess not. Overall a huge disappointment. I'm a senior citizen on a walker. The Carl Black website indicated there were over $10,000 in discounts and incentives available to buy an all-electric vehicle. After talking me into leasing a Chevrolet Equinox EV RS, offering a 3 year, bumper to bumper warranty, I made the mistake of signing the paperwork without reading the details. I was there for hours. I went in that afternoon and didn't leave till two hours after they closed at 8:00PM. I should have suspected something when 3 managers stayed till almost 10PM to unload my trade in. I was given HALF the KBB dealer value for my car. But the biggest problem....I found out my Electric, $57,000 sticker-priced car was selling at other dealers for only $38,000. The Carl Black General Manager wrote my lease for $55,000 with only a $1,500 tax incentive. It was a no-win situation. Even if I kept the car the full term of the lease, the buyout price would have been $10,000 more than the value of the car. They did this deliberately. I think they saw an elderly man on a walker, and decided they could make some money. My advice would be STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I only went there because the dealership was 2 miles from my home. But since I never wanted to go back under the circumstances, I took the financial hit which was considerable, and traded with Serra, who couldn't have been nicer in helping to figure the best way out for me and to buy a car I would actually own. I had to get my car serviced and the service manager said it would be 1 week before they could look at my car. After a week, I called them on getting an update on my car and they did not know how long it would be to look at my car. The service manager Micah never called me back to update me on my vehicle. I would have thought they would give me an estimate when I called several times. I ended up driving my car to another dealership after my car was there 10 days, The other dealership had it fixed in one day. I would not recommend leaving your vehicle with them. read more

GM has still not repurchased the lemon that Carl Black sold me. The car has been in the shop since October 17, 2023 - nine months ago. Carl Black is no longer providing a rental vehicle as it says an offer has been made to repurchase my vehicle. There has been no offer in writing that I have received. My out of pocket costs will be about $2500 which I have to advance. GM is supposed to reimburse this amount. I have no words for the amount of time, energy and stress this has caused me. read more

Please be aware and go somewhere else for your services. They kept my truck for a week for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Also to repair the port for the gps device and a couple of simple firmware updates to the system. And to possibly find a grinding noise when I start the truck. I had to finally tell them that I had to have my truck back. When I got it, the oil life wasn't reset and they said they weren't able to rotate the tires due to tread wear. Who knows if the oil was even changed. Did the two updates, couldn't find the cause of the grind sound, didn't fix gps port but claimed they did. Basically kept the truck for a week and maybe got the oil change done, who knows? Also they threw everything from the back seat to the front seat and left the entire cab in a mess. I have no idea why they would've even needed to get into the back cab. This was the first and last time ever using them. A total joke repair shop!!!!! read more

So I talk to the manager he told me sorry I can't help because the machine is not working. So he tells me to talk to the guy in the blue shirt no name he said he will go check on it. My car was returned and nothing got done. So I walked back where the guy in the blue shirt when. So long behold was the manager and the guy in the blues shirt was laughing out loud with the technician. This do not look right. My sales rep Chris was great, but the finance manager made me think I was getting one interest rate and at the end they had changed it to a higher interest rate. Read your paper work very carefully before signing. Their service department is very hard to get a hold of. I found out this week you have to leave your new car at the dealership in order to get on a list when you have a problem with your car. They will not give you a replacement vehicle while you wait for them to fix it. You are on your own. I was told I would be better off to find another dealership to get it checked because it could be a month or two to wait on it. I've never had a dealership be so, sorry that's how it is here! Zero stars. They get 5 stars for making excuses tho and lying. Took a truck in on a Sunday night and got a call Monday morning asking what the issue was. We called Tuesday and Wednesday and received no call back. Finally Thursday I was very annoyed and just kept calling back until they got my service manager on the phone. He called me an hr later and said a hose needs to be replaced and he had the cap we needed for the power steering fluid. All in stock. He said he needed Thursday and Friday to wrap it up. Very disappointed with this dealership. I called for a service appointment to have work done on my truck. I spoke to Karen a few times to be sure what work I needed done on my truck, and once the appointment was set, she informed me that I would have to leave my truck there for 1-2 weeks to have the work completed. It is a simple maintenance issue that needed to be done, and she told me that the appointment was just to get my car on the lot. I asked what the appointment was for if the work would not be completed that day (or at least within 24 hours) and she said it was to just get my truck on the lot and they would get to it whenever they could. I called back and spoke to the Service Manager - Mark - and he confirmed that my truck would have to be there for 1-2 weeks and that the appointment was just to see a service assessment and that they do not make appointments for the service techs - they will just get to it when they are able to. I was also spoken to very condescendingly by the service manager. I will NOT go to this dealership. I called another Chevy dealership and was treated with respect and they set an appointment for me and said that my truck will be done within that day! Found out that it was a thermostat issue. But wait!! They said it was an expired alarm. They explained that sometimes sudden change in temperature ( we live in Florida) can set off the warning. I recently got my car serviced after having issues with the battery. I was blown away by the level of kindness and patience received from Dale and Lynn throughout my experience. As a woman, having anything done on my car leaves me feeling a bit vulnerable, but Dale walked me through every single item that needed repair and took the time to answer all of the questions I had. Lynn, the shuttle driver, was incredibly kind and made all of my worries and stress disappear. I've reached my service rep maybe twice. Terrible customer service. I understand that the part is on backorder, but this is getting ridiculous. I asked the service manager to assist in making sure the service advisor calls the warranty company so get authorization if they need to do a repair, come to find out that the part they said needed to be replaced didnt need to be replaced. we asked them to give us the old part, and we were charged over $600.00 for something that should have been under warranty, but it didnt need to be replaced afterall. we are out the 600.00 and the dealer and GM will not do a thing about it. we still have the part to show for it. who knows how many people they do this to as noone ever asks for the old parts. My car was kept there for 90 days and I received bills from my auto insurance and extended coverage company and no work was performed. The dealership had poor communication with my extended warranty and now I am almost out of 1000 dollars. I still have the same issues and nothing was done. I am extremely unsatisfied. My advice is to be careful. Not all of their technicians are reliable and efficient. They actually ended up ruining something and damaging my car without knowing. I had to come back again and again. Anyway, they didn't know I had a leak, they didn't know I needed oil, they didn't know why my engine was heating up, etc. I'm disappointed, BUT on my last visit there, two employees were friendly and wanted to help. Anyway, I really wouldn't come here. the one star is for the two employees that were helpful. MANAGEMENT and their leadership need to address these issues. It's not the employees fault.
