Since I bought my RAV4, now called Nirvash, I've regularly gone to Toyota of Gallatin for service and upkeep. Apart from changing tires, I trust them with everything else I can't handle myself--like replacing wiper blades or the air filters. Over the years, I've heard some not-so-great stories about dealerships taking advantage of customers, but luckily, Toyota of Gallatin has always been honest and fair with me. Every visit, they make sure I have all the info I need to take good care of my vehicle. They even do this when there's an opportunity to make extra money from services I ask about but don't actually need. For instance, about a year ago, I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I asked them to replace both the cabin and engine air filters. It turned out the cabin filter needed replacing, but the engine filter was still in great shape. They asked if I really wanted the engine filter replaced, showing it to me to confirm it was fine. That saved me around $50-70 that they could have charged me for that day. Earlier this week, I visited for fuel treatment and brake service. They completed the overdue fuel and engine cleaning treatment, but upon inspection, they found my brake pads still had plenty of life. They told me I was good to go, which saved over $600 in parts, labor, and taxes that could have added up. I asked for the service anyway, and they could have done it for extra profit but chose to be honest and fair about what was really needed. I've heard a lot of stories about certain dealerships just trying to rack up big bills by recommending unnecessary repairs. But so far, Toyota of Gallatin has been different. They will also do things and deny them often, they will lie to your face happily, and will waste your time. No email or text updates. You cannot reach a manager. They have had our truck for seven weeks and keep pushing out the completion date. I never once had to call Carl to find out what was going on as he was on it by calling us as he received information. I have had multiple disappointing experiences with this Lexus dealership…read more I paid about $1,400 to have all four tires replaced, a tire rotation, and a four-wheel alignment. Before the service, my vehicle had no vibration issues, and I was never informed that any of my rims were damaged. After the service, my car developed a vibration. When I returned, I was assigned to a different service advisor, who told me one rim was bent and quoted me $1,200 to replace it. The bend is on the inside of the rim, the tire isn't leaking air, and I was never informed of any rim issue before the work was completed. This is also the same dealership that previously mishandled the calibration of my vehicle after collision repairs. Their own documentation states the previous calibration was not fully completed, and I had to involve the Service Manager, Better Business Bureau, and Lexus Corporate before the issue was finally addressed. After multiple bad experiences with this service department, I've decided to get rid of my Lexus and move to a different brand. I expected much better from a luxury dealership.
