Carls is loosing its fame! I find it dry low quality burgers for the price. Not a fan anymore.

ok - so it's a fast food chain - 4 stars here is for a meal that costs less than $10, so if you are expecting white tablecloth, waiters, a full wine menu, you have a very different idea of what to expect for fast food. Everyone's prices seem to be going up, I would think that Carl's is probably on the high end.... If you're smart you will get the Big Hamburger and pay for the extras you want - it's way cheaper than the rest of their offerings, just not quite as "fancy" (I know, an oxymoron for fast food, huh?) it was too good to be true - they "parked" my car as I went through the drive through tonight - I wanted some more crisp burritos. I waited 8 minutes until I went inside to go get my food. That's craptastic - if you send someone around to park because the food isn't ready, you don't have any excuse to let their food just sit once it's done. boo. I've already waited longer than I should, you should get it out to be pronto. Next time I'll just sit where I am at the window in your little drive through until you get me my food, that should help you expedite my order. This Carl's / Green Burrito is one I go to often - it's probably the closest place to where I live. The food is always served hot, they have never messed up the many orders I have placed and when you eat in, they bring you your food. I've always been met with cheerful staff. I tried the BBQ nachos last night - weird idea, but they were really quite good. The jalapeno's really spiced it up and I was happy. While a little more generous serving of the BBQ wouldn't hurt, I walked in, they greeted me cheerfully, happily explained what this new offering was, took my order and then brought it out to me quickly. It was hot, it was delicious - what more could you ask for? (It just feels wrong to give a fast food joint 5 stars, and like I said, it would have been better with more bbq). Their breakfast burritos are the wife's favorites - it's sad that they are not offering any breakfast specials like Jack in the Box and some of the other places are offering. I was jazzed with their biscuits when they first came out but something doesn't quite work as well as it did before. I had the crispy burritos today for lunch and they are also very tasty. I feel like Carl's has a wide selection that should appeal to almost any one. The fresh salsa bar is a big plus, so it would just be wrong to give it less than 3 stars, until they treated me like crap tonight, now it would be unjust to even give them 3 stars. I don't understand the negative reviews. I get consistent great service and food from these people. Actually, I think I am addicted to the Jalapeno burgers.... I ordered a breakfast sandwich this morning via DOORDASH...and it was delivered on time and was delicious as usual. Ok, Canby Carl's Jr. I have given you to many chances, like 20 or more over the last few years. I really like C.Jrs I got hooked during college by the one off Lancaster in Salem (they do a great job!), but I work in Canby. 7 out 10 times I get the double western, and when it's good it's great, but I'm sorry Canby you do not make a good burger consistently, your parties are typically dry!!!! I started asking them to make them fresh to see if that helps, and when the actually do then it's a good burger but when I ask for them fresh and I a get the dried out burger I know the cook used up the old ones. Come on guys the difference is real! I know it's easier to cook a bunch for lunch so you can pump out the food but I got to think you'd have more customers if the food was good rather than fast. If someone asks for freshly cooked meat, even knowing the risk of requesting something special, you could at least do that. If the owner or manager doesn't think this is the case then how do you explain having two burgers a few days apart from each other and one being great and the other is so dry it's hard to eat. Better than McDonald's and not as good as 5 Guys. They have a small selection of Mexican food that is better than the Bell. As good as Burgerville. The Beyond burger is pretty good and the Big Carl is a safe bet. read more

I know, I know (as my now 13 year old nephew would say)...Reviewing a fast food restaurant and giving it 3 stars. Well, anytime I am in Oregon visiting my in-laws, it is a given that we will come to the local Carl's more times then I care to admit (or will check in). This location is always clean, service friendly and also has Green Burrito. Most of the time, if I am not doing the cooking or planning other places for us to go, this is the default so I have had to learn what is decent and what to stay away from. I have been known to enjoy the Oreo ice cream sandwich and this trip have eaten the new taquitos twice (they are pretty good and remind me of what JITB used to have back in the 80's). Seriously though, if I had my way, it would not be fast food, but since I am not always in control, this Carl's is ok. read more

Although, all Carls Juniors are the same... I can get any hamburger made into a low carb burger. I can enjoy the mushrooms, and all the other burgery perks (yes burgery is not a real word) and feel fully satisfied by the end. The criss cross fries are to die for...they are heavy on the grease, but always satisfy your fast food french fry needs. You'll leave two pounds heavier, and two pounds happier. ~A P.S. I ordered an order of fries and 2 tacos. I sat in the drive thru for more than 10 mins. All the employees were just standing there talking and laughing. they were making themselves coffee before they even made my order. This is the worst drive thru experience ever. read more

So I go here once in a while since it is right next to where I work. I also have employees who also go here. They do come back with complaints of their own mostly the wrong food. So I try not to be a complainer, but the one car in front of me took over 6 min to get one small bag. My food took 8 min after that. I asked for coke no ice, I got ice. got a smooshed steak quesadilla not hot, also dry and again not hot chicken tenders. I shouldn't eat fast food to begin with it because it trash food. But all the same when I see at least 5 people in the back of the house and hardly any one in the dinning room and no looked like they were waiting. If i have to wait that long it best taste fresh and hot no like I just wasted 10 buck on the last min food just before it is tossed out to the trash. Any how I guess I should give you more stars because nothing will help me stay away from fast food more than getting bad bad fast food. I placed a drive though order and went to pay Melissa the manager gave me my food as I gave her my money and she gave me my change not even waiting for me to put my change way. I asked her to wait and she shove my drink at a coworker who kindly waited till my change was put away. I then sipped my drink as I drove off only to find out it was the wrong drink. I then had to turn around and go inside to ask for the correct drink. I explained to Melissa that I was given the wrong drink in the drive though she then shoved a cup ant me and pointed to the tea and said it's over there. I proceeded to fill it only for her to say I choose the wrong one and as I dumped it out she said it was the right one (very passive aggressive). I never once received an apology from Melissa who need training in customer service and is setting a bad example for her peers. I asked to talk to management and she stated it was her! I asked for the corporate number and she said I could go home and look it up.....really? customer service.....I then asked her to get it and she walked away and came back talking on her cell phone and turned to me to say the number is on the bag......great I'm thinking! Some one (Miss Melissa) needs trained on manners and customer service! I don't know that I will ever return if that is the kind of people that are promoted to management. read more
