Came here today around 11pm to get a quick bit to eat. Ordered the big Carl meal for my husband and the chicken club meal for myself. It was different because they had an automated system taking our order so we were joking about that. The system got the order right on the screen so we had no issue there. We get to the window and the girl hands us the drinks first then a bag of food. Before completely taking off, I had my husband check to make sure there were 2 sandwiches and 2 fries. Did not notice the discrepancy until when got home and were ready to eat. My husband's order was correct but mines was another story. I ordered a large fry and they looked small to me but the big issue was the sandwich. They gave me a bacon western!!! Like wtf I ordered chicken not beef. Kinda irritated that they got it wrong. Next time I'll have him pull them both all the way out the bag because this is BS. read more

horrible service. the lady at the window who took our payment was rude and she was speaking to us like she was in a rush (they were not closing when we ordered and there was only a car in front and behind us). we found that they did not include an order of star nuggets that came with the meal we ordered, which could have been an easy mistake. what was the absolute worst was that i had ordered a build your own bag and chose the california classic cheeseburger, to find out after taking a bite that they never added a patty inside. we could have double checked the bag before leaving and noticed the nuggets missing, but who on earth checks each burger before leaving. i guess with this location you sure have to. never coming back here again, in n out is worth the wait. read more

9:30 pm.. 10/3/25...I ordered a double el diablo with tomato and eggs. I got a single beef patty instead of 2. I came back to have them put an 2nd beef patty. They did not. I came back for a third time and showed them a 2nd beef patty was not place in the burger. Laura, a worker there, said they did as she saw it. I kept showing them, they did not. I even opened the burger and showed them there is no 2nd beef patty!!!!!!Laura denied to remake a correct burger. She said '" no more meat." She said to comeback tomorrow and talk the Manager. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE TEAM LEADER NAMED SHARAI ... I walked in with cruches as I am a disabled person, and I had to use the restroom after going through the drive-through. SHARAI didn't believe that I had gone through the drive-through so she didn't give me the code to the restroom being a disabled person I had to walk back to the car to get the proof of it, then walk back into the store. There was a young man who heard the whole altercation going on when I was in disbelief that she made me go back to the being disabled to get the proof that I was a customer here the guy felt bad for me and gave me the code after he ordered his food. He said that was unbelievable. I feel bad for this franchise that this woman is the leader she needs to be demoted and have a little bit of customer service interactions practice. I Tried to buy me and my cousin some food at 10:26pm and all of their lights were on and the open sign was still lit. Online and on apple maps its says that this and all other Carls Jr. Locations close at midnight (12 am) All their doors were closed so I knocked on the door and a guy just stared at me and gave me a look. He then used his hand to signal "no" so I walked away and saw another worker walking back towards the resteraunt, I then asked If I could walk through the drive through since there were absolutely no cars and he gave me a huge attitude and told me that they are closed. I then stated that online it says they dont close till 12 and he continued to walk away and say "we are still closed" If you still have 2 workers on the premises fully in uniform and a huge sign on the window saying "OPEN LATE" in all caps and bold you probably should stay open late. read more

Edith the drive thru lady that's old cranky and rude is definitely the worst one there. Idk how she's still employed. She's unpleasant and when you say thank you or attempt to greet her you're met with silence. And from scanning reviews is see she's like this to everyone. The App is very frustrating to use and is further complicated by her indifference and inability/ unwillingness to be helpful. Carls Jr has deals and coupons that can only be accessed in certain regions and also complicates matters by requiring with any instructions in the app that you pre order a deal rather than using a code at the window. I wouldn't be shocked or surprised if Carls Jr goes out of business. This location is never busy but the employees inside leave a lot to be desired when it comes to customer service especially Edith. Very bad customer service . I went in to get my free hamburger on Feb 12,2024 at 7:00pm. I downloaded the app and I went in and showed the employee Emma my app and she didn't care to even look at it .She right away said I don't have an order for a hamburger and I asked her nicely I have to order the free hamburger on the app and her back turned towards me (very rude)said yes and I told her if she could help me and she rudely said I don't know how . I really wish I had looked at yelp before I went there, but I guess that's the only way they stay open. I grab some food on the way home from work not having much time to cook. I order a large combo and a burger. Get home and boy was I disappointed. Friends box was half full and my burger feels like it was sitting on a counter for a few hours. Famous star with no pickles please!!! This location is moderately busy!!! The cashiers here are extremely rude. My order was correct on the screen but not correct in the bag. I told the rude a** cashier and she responded with, didn't you check the screen. Hello?!!! Did u check the screen?!!! Because my ordered was bagged incorrectly. If you don't like your job, quit. You work in a customer service position, if you don't have customer service skills, get another job. FYI- Carl's Jr. don't hire teenagers. Normally, I do enjoy their food. Alright so I showed up to this Carl's Jr. With the fam this morning and despite being told to wait for my food in front while two other cars came out of the drive thru I continued to give them the benefit of the doubt. But getting my food I was disgusted at the amount of energy put into my order. We had soggy hash browns and French fries, salty onion rings, and not to mention the chicken stars looked like they were barely cooked. It's not often I choose to eat at a fast food chain but damn I wasn't expecting this out here in Otay Ranch.
