Beef Soft Taco ($4.31): No Crema
    Elena N.

Date: Saturday, April 27th, 2024 Meal: Late Dinner Pickup Party of: 2 How: Carl's Jr App via Drive Thru Time Ordered: around 10:15pm Time Ready: around 10:45pm Discounts: we had a 50% off coupon on the app *Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger ($9.88) *Double Famous Star ($9.55): Lettuce Wrap *Charbroiled Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich ($9.88) *Waffle Fries ($5.04) *Jalapeño POPPERS Bites: 6 piece ($6.17) *Crunchy Chicken Taco ($4.31) *Beef Soft Taco ($4.31): No Crema It had been a while since I had CJ, so I figured why not?! The hubby and I normally have a fast food meal Saturday nights, so we decided to stop by this location on the way home. I placed my order on the app and it said it'd be ready in 10 mins. Once we got here, there were two cars in front of us. I don't know why, but it took forever for them to move! We sat there for a good 15 mins until the car in front got their order. Once that happened, the line moved very quickly, but it made me rethink visiting CJ again. Other spots never took this long. Price wise, I'm glad we had the 50% off. Otherwise, our meal would have been $50+ for two people. And we finished everything once we got home. Very pricey for fast food, but at least you can get variety? I ended up getting a couple things from Green Burrito as well. Okay once in a while, but for $50, I may save that cash for something other than fast food. Note: I typically get the super star with cheese, but I didn't see it, so got the dbl famous star instead. If memory serves, they seem like the same thing, but who knows.

Simple eats - stopped by Carl's Jr for a quick and easy lunch. I've only eaten here for a handful of times and always thought it's okey. Nothing to write home about. I do love the buns they use, super airy and fluffy!

My brother and I came here a few days ago on Christmas Eve for a quick lunch. We have been coming here a few times a year for many years now. We really like eating here because there is lots of parking in the back, the restaurant is always clean and the staff persons are always friendly. I really enjoyed my Super Star Burger Combo. I also had some Waffle Fries and some Fried Zucchini, which is my all time favorite. I highly recommend this place if ever you are in this part of Daly City.

Not a 1/3 lb patty which is what I paid for.

Worst visit ever here. Looks like little traffiand cut backs. Ordered two 1/3 lb burgers and you tell they are not 1/3 lb patties. Exactly two napkins in the bag. Asked for ketchup and got four packets stuck together. So sticky, I had to wash my hands after opening the packets . Too bad, I really like their premium burgers.

As Good Friday approaches I am craven some chicken. I can't put my finger on it but I enjoy some good chicken fingers. I first heard the term Chicken Fingers from Canadians and it is commonly known as chicken tenders in San Francisco. So when I saw Raising Canes Chicken fingers was coming to Stonestown in SF I was excited but then it hasn't opened yet. So I decided to go to the nearest Raising Cane's in Colma. Although there are more dead people in Colma than living the inside Raising Canes felt alive with decor which represents the nearby schools and local sports teams. I ordered the box combo from their minimalist menu which has all the essentials except onion rings . I enjoyed the lightly batter chicken fingers which was not too crunchy and was tasty dipped in the Canes signature sauce and the tangy with the honey mustard sauce and a bit spicy with their Louisiana hot sauce . It came with crispy not soggy crinkle cut fries which were a good way to pair the chicken fingers along with Texas toast which was not too flakey like some in SF. This is one of my favorite fast food places to get chicken fingers. They also do catering so you can give others the finger. You can get to Colma by feet , car , or BART "train" , to grab the chicken fingers which has flavor which are not bland or "too plain " it's a national "fast food chain" who got its namesake from the owners yellow Labrador Retriever, "Raising Cane" It's worth the "trekking" and worth "checking" they have a finger discount and it's not the fingers I was "expecting" its chicken fingers you can do some "hand pecking"

Amount of fries with the meal (on the menu board looks small) so I ordered an extra side of fries and even the side amount was stin-gee. NOT a very nice presentation when you open the carton to see what little food you get for the amount of money they charge. I paid $ 17.00 for a 3-piece w/ soda, and extra side of fries. These kids working here can 'easily' be generous with the servings to match the 'wanna-be' nice & pleasant smiles they exude. C'mon. Guaranteed you wont come back a second time; or even a first time after reading my review.

The patty was flavorful, and the fries were just crispy enough. But of course, I already know where this is going... straight to my thighs. Seriously as good as any of the trucks that charge double that in Redwood City. I was here to try their poblano pepper steak wrap. This was the only Taco Bell neat me that had it and the nacho fries. Really wish this would stay on their menu the poblano peppers were delicious and my only complaint is the temperature of the food (lukewarm) and definitely not enough steak for the nearly $7 wrap which is pricey for Taco Bell. All the food I ordered was lukewarm and that's sad when you're eating barely warm fries and not gooey cheese because it's not hot now. If I wasn't so hungry I would have taken it all home and zapped it in the microwave.

Another complaint I have is they got rid of the Loaded Beef Nachos $3. The next closest thing would be the Nachos BellGrande $7. 2x the price for basically the same thing. Luckily I ordered three crunchy tacos ($2.39 each) as a back-up. Those were great. The drive through guy forgot to give me a fork and napkins.

Even though my experiences here have been a little mixed, don't get confused - I LOVE Super Duper…read more Other than one truly disappointing visit I made to their spot in the Marina over a decade ago, the rest of my experiences have ranged from pretty good to down right awesome. However, I have to admit that our most recent visit to this particular location now makes it two times that I've been let down. Compared to the Super Duper locations that I've been to in SF (SoMa, FiDi, Marina, and Laurel Village), this one lacks that neighborhood feel to it, but it makes sense given how it's located at Serramonte. That said, with its two long high-top tables, handful of booths, two-tops, and outdoor patio area, this one offers way more seating whether it be for groups large or small. Similarly, the menu not only offers all of Super Duper's usual offerings (burgers, fries, salads, breakfast sandwich, shakes, and soft serve), but it also has featured/seasonal specials as well as the fried chicken sandwiches and tenders from their sister eatery in SF, the Bird. -- TRUFFLE BURGER - Urbani Truffle Butter, Grilled Onions, Portobello Mushrooms, Monterey Jack Cheese, and Super Sauce...$12.50 (Single Patty) Sadly, the taste of the truffle butter wasn't that strong (though, this still felt luscious), but I really liked how well the grilled onions, cheese, and mushrooms worked together. So, as underwhelming as this was as a "truffle burger", this was great as a "mushroom burger". -- GARLIC FRIES Topped with Parmesan Cheese...$4.75 From past experiences, I know this can be hit or miss depending on how garlicky it is and, unfortunately, this was light on garlic. Still, everything else about this was pretty solid. The fries themselves were cooked well and I loved how this was LOADED with Parmesan. -- MINI BURGER with Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onions, Jack Cheese (+$.75), and Bacon (+$1.50)...$7.50 Not as good as other times I've had it, but still not bad. The veggies were fresh and the bun was soft, but the patty didn't feel as juicy this time and didn't have that bit of char either. Also, the bacon was really thin and while the jack cheese was gooey, their cheddar is way better. -- CLASSIC FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH (from the Bird)...$10.75 WTF was this? The one I had at the Bird in SoMa was great; this was not. While we both thought the bun and slaw were fine, the fried chicken was terrible - the batter wasn't crispy (part of it felt almost rubbery/spongy) and the chicken had a sort of stringy texture to it. Despite how convenient this Super Duper may be, especially whenever I'm out this way to do shopping (there's tons of parking), I don't know if/when I would come back again. I certainly won't be getting the fried chicken sandwich again if I do (and perhaps anywhere else), but even the Mini Burger wasn't as satisfying as usual. Given how well all of my past visits have gone, I might just stick to my usual go-to Super Duper in Laurel Village, though I'd still like to check out their recently opened spot in the Inner Sunset. THREE AND A HALF STARS for the two burgers and fries which I would round up for, but rounding down just because of the fried chicken sandwich.
