Double double Flying Dutchman with onion wrap

My local go-to burger spot. Nothing much can be said about this place except food & price is always amazing. Come here once a week! Service is good too although it does take a while to get your food but that just tells you how good of a spot this is for everyone in the community/bay.

People can't traffic-control themselves. The line wraps around the street across 4 short blocks and blocks the exit. Add signs.

One of the better In-N-Outs in the SF area. But a major factor in my low rating is the lack of traffic control and clear guidance on where the drive-thru line ends. Sometimes it wraps around the intersection and down the block, and when that happens it's nearly impossible to find the end. This is especially risky because cars are coming in fast from the nearby freeway exit. Recently they started taking orders outside of the parking lot, which has sped up the line, but it's still confusing if you don't already know the path along the public street. The line wraps like that old 90s Snake game and can block the exit lane (photo attached). The first time I came here, I accidentally "cut" because I was driving straight through the intersection and it genuinely looked like the end of the line. I didn't realize the line wraps around the block, and the next car in line hadn't caught up yet, so it looked like an open lane. As soon as I entered, drivers started honking, yelling, and threatening to hit my car. Once I realized, I let every car go ahead of me and moved to the end of the line. Even then, one customer complained to the cashier that I cut, and staff almost refused to serve me because of it. I filed a complaint with the store manager about the hazard and how this could be prevented with signs and basic traffic control. Nothing has been done. Since management isn't doing their job here, here's the solution: put up a clear "Drive-thru line ends here" sign, set out cones, and have one employee direct cars when the line runs along the public street. Or get a new store manager.

IN N OUT, where retro quality is embraced and loved by customers! The parking lot is a decent size shared with a Krispy Kreme, but it's almost always packed, my preferred manner of ordering is the drive thru via Sullivan Avenue to avoid standing in the often full dinning room. Patience is required as the cars slowly creep along, with orders mostly taken via the passenger side by menu placard wearing staff. simple menu, but burger customization is the norm, onions (grilled, whole grilled, etc), animal sauce on or on the side, fresh cut fries (you can see them cut and spun washed via the drive thru, real milk shakes, and prices that are reasonable. I like both grilled, and whole grilled onions on my burgers, animal sauce on the side just request it during pickup, fries at times but they never make it home, at least 1 cup of ice water to hydrate while driving, and at times a shake just because! Open till at least 1:00am, my Goto Burger Joint.

Clean. Excellent customer service. Great vibes. Helpful staff. Cashier Nathan and staff Jay were so hospitable. Love their smiles. Plus, my cheeseburger hit the spot. Mahalo :-))

In-N-Out has always been my fave! Service is pretty quick, and I always opt for a a cheeseburger with grilled onions and animal fries in the side. I'd recommend parking and going inside to eat in or grab to go vs waiting in the drive thru line. Drive thru is always a long line, which wraps around the stop lights, and it can get so congested in this area. Parking can be pretty tight too, I'd recommend parking by Krispy Kreme in the same area for more space. I've never seen this place empty, so it can get pretty overwhelming parking and finding a spot to sit. The last time I went, I actually just parked by Krispy Kreme and ate in my car haha. In N Out tastes a lot better when you eat it right away instead of waiting until you get home! I don't come here often due to how packed it is, but when I do come, it's always delicious and fresh. 4 stars simply for parking, location, and drive thru lines.

    Sunday very busy

I was doing errands on a Sunday and by 2pm I was hungry, I decided to go to this In-N-Out burger before visiting my aunt who is living in assisted living. I should have stayed in my car and make my order, but I decided to go inside and wait. What a big mistake. They were at number 68 and I was number 12. The service was great and my order was process perfectly...it was just the standing and waiting for my burger. When my order was done, it was about a 30 minutes wait, I walked to my car and sat down and ate my cheeseburger, fries and strawberry shake. It was worth the 30 minutes, but if you can't use the drive through. The ambiance of this location is always clean with the amount of customers that they serve. Remember, it will be quicker if you go use their Drive Through!

Burgers are definitely comfort food. The three of us just recovered from bad colds & coughs. What better medicine than a double double with grilled onions. To avoid long lines and jostling for a table we usually come around 11am. Recently they introduced the pink lemonade fountain dispensed drink. It went quite well with the burger and fries. And free refills as with the other fountain drinks. More times than not we'll skip the meal and a la carte. Today we ordered 2 double double cheeseburgers, 1 single cheeseburger, both with grilled onions, 2 orders fries, 1 small strawberry shake, and 2 medium drinks. All for $32. Inflation buster. Did you know you can order a XL shake which is only $0.20 more? Lots of parking even with the neighbor Krispy Kreme shared space. If you want you can do the drive through option.

    "Hot coffee"

Horrible, went through the drive-through at approx. 345p. 3 cheeseburgers, 1 hamburger with grilled & raw onions & 1 cheeseburger animal style, 4 fries and one coffee. No animal style, No grilled onions, cold fries and the coffee was transparent. GARBAGE

We are from Florida helping my daughter move into her new house in San Francisco. The double double animal style burger was 5 stars. The French fries were 3 stars. Not warm and could use some seasoning. The service is fantastic what a large staff to take care of the long lines. Place is very clean but trash can was full to the top. I am very glad a fast food place still makes very good burgers.

Always overcooked. Not fresh at all. Trash food. Junk food. Overcooked overcooked overcooked

The line for In-N-Out Burger is always long but you can't beat the price and tbe ambience. I like the trays the food comes in, so that you can eat on your car. The portions are good, with fresh ingredients but just don't taste as good as they used to.

    Grilled cheese

LOVEEEEEE in n out. We changed up the grilled cheese order this time and got some added chopped chilies to the burger which was a perfect addition to an already amazing burger. The fries this time felt a bit burnt, which I didn't love. We also tired a different grilled cheese burger and added a slice of cold cheese instead which was also very yummy. Service is quick! Can't wait to be back!

Yes, there is seating available outside as well as inside.

What's it like getting a burger their today during Covid era? Curious to what the drive thru line is…

I try to get there when it opens around 10:30am. The line isn't that bad....sometimes there is hardly a wait at all!

Do they hand out In N Out stickers if you ask them? (Earlier it said tickets which was a stupid typo my phone made lol sorry!)

The patty just melts so beautifully in my mouth and leaves me longing for just one more bite. The flavors just burst so spectacularly on my tongue and satisfy me in a way that no other burger could. Additionally, I must say that their strawberry milkshakes are superb and taste of such high quality that the steep price is 100% worth it.

Once you bite into their burger, which I will describe as one very juicy and authentic tasting beef burger. Some say it's very oily, but to me it's juicy because of the added cheddar cheese which melts in between the beef patties, so you'll need extra napkins/tissue papers to eat this. Their super burger is quite big that you can get two servings out of ordering just one, or you can have their mini burger. The fries are cooked just right, they have the regular, garlic fries with cheddar or jalapeño cheddar fries. I like that they don't put too much garlic so that it does not over power the taste of the fries. And their shakes are not too sweet. The cookies and cream shakes is my favorite. They also have seasonal shakes which I will try next time I have a craving for a burger. I like that they provide homemade crunchy dill pickles if you prefer it with your burger. As for drinks, I prefer their lemonade. My experience with their service is that the workers there are always nice, friendly and polite. From the time you place your order to the time you get your food. The service is quick and not chaotic. The place is always nice, clean and very organized. You can tell that they like working there for sure.

We ordered the cheesesteak, the Giants Burger, fries, and a chocolate milkshake. The cheesesteak was absolutely delicious--packed with flavor and cooked just right. The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned, making them the perfect side. The chocolate milkshake was one of the highlights of the meal. They make it with Mitchell's Ice Cream, and if you're from the Bay Area, you already know that's a huge plus. It was extra thick, rich, and creamy--exactly how a great milkshake should be. The Giants Burger was another standout. We asked for it medium, and it came out perfectly cooked. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and everything you'd want from a quality burger. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations. Great food, fast service, and generous portions in a laid-back atmosphere. If you're craving a quality burger, cheesesteak, or milkshake, Big Mouth Burger is definitely worth checking out. Easy 10/10--I'll definitely be coming back.

While most other things are the same, there are some differences. As many places have, they've geared more towards the self-service kiosk approach to ordering. As soon as you enter, there are two kiosks to the left, then one more to the right on the counter instead of one of the registers. They still have a place where you can order from a human being if you prefer that (or like me, have customizations that can't be accommodated via the kiosk)...lol. All jokes aside, I ended up having to order through a person. It's not my fault though, they're promoting this delicious looking new toasted Parmesan-crusted sourdough, but only on a Chicken Club sandwich. Being that we hadn't been to Habit in a while, we were craving a burger specifically. After having to bring a manager over to approve the request and figure out how to enter it into the system, we were able to get the special new bread on our Double Char and Santa Barbara Char for an additional charge of ~$1 each (WORTH IT!). The other new items that came (I assume) around the same time as the Parmesan bread, are Garlic Parmesan Fries, and a Garlic Parmesan Ranch. Both the fries and the ranch were surprisingly good. The fries were a little oily/greasy, but the flavor on them was very rich. The Parm ranch was bold and flavorful, and honestly paired well with everything. By everything, I mean the fries, onion rings, tempura green beans, sweet potato fries, and most especially poured on my Santa Barbara Char. It also paired perfectly with the new bread, and made each bite one of the best I've had in recent history. Another big difference is that they now charge for all sauces (aside from ketchup & hot sauce). Back when we were coming here more regularly, ranch was free. You would just ask them at the counter, and they'd give you one, or a few, at no charge. While they do have a solid sauce selection (BBQ, sweet mustard, teriyaki, ranch, spicy ranch, avocado ranch, and the new garlic parm ranch), they charge $0.60 each. They still have Pepsi products at the fountain, in addition to unsweetened regular and tropical iced tea, and both fresh strawberry and cucumber limeades. Two public, gender neutral bathrooms are in the back with no passcode. It was steadily busy on a Saturday evening around 5:30pm. Most of the tables were full, but there was some turnover with people finishing and leaving and lots of to-go orders. Thank you again to the patient woman who took our order, dealing with all the changes and additions. The food was all very tasty, and we especially loved the new Garlic Parmesan items. We're already talking about making another trip to Habit to get it again...
