It has got to be over 5 years the last time I had Carls Jr. I remember it tasting better... customer service was great, service was fast and store was very clean but strong cleaning product smell. Food was definitely over priced. We paid almost $35 for the two of us. Two burgers, two fries, no drinks or dessert! I was a bit shocked almost wanted to get a kids meal instead! I'm writing this a little late from my Google review a few weeks ago. The Carl's at 99/W.Shaw should be avoided at all costs in the evening. The night crew is led by a really bad person. White female, tall pasty, always wears a Covid mask. She is very rude and judgemental. She denied use of the public restroom by lying saying they are closed, locks the doors and makes customers walk all the way around. She even has her cashiers say the restrooms are broken. I really like Carl's food, I eat at different locals through the central valley. I used to stop by between my work travels to take a break but NEVER again. Neighbor ing McDonald's and In N Out never treat customers like this. Carl's need to demote that manager to fry cook because her customer service skills are Garbage! I used to absolutely love Carl's Jr., and maybe I'm the one who's changed, but I think I'm done with it. Last time I got it, it was sad. This most recent visit was no different. The service was pleasant and friendly, but the food was just gloomy. The criss cut fries were hot and crispy but smelled and tasted old. The spicy chicken sandwich was not spicy, and had very little flavor at all. The western bacon cheeseburger seemed to be composed of a smashed bun and a grey and broken up burger patty. Highway city Carl's Jr. is always a good place to stop and grab a bite to eat. They are never really busy because there are several fast food places to eat around them. I arrived at 9:55pm the Dining room was already locked, the parking lot was empty and nobody in the drive thru. I knocked on the window in the drive thru to see if I could order at the window since you can't drive a bus through the drive thru. One of the employees opened the door to the dining room, I asked what time the dining closes and she said 11:00pm but the supervisor didn't want multiple people in the dining. The Supervisor was sitting in the dining room as I was ordering, the employees working didn't seem happy, nobody had a smile. read more

Today 4/25 I felt like a Famous Star combo (should have cross the street and got "In N Out") but obviously didn't. The cashier was completed irritated by my presence. No smile, no personality, straight bland! Smiled the whole time to see if she would budge, nope! Bitter as hell! The food quality sucked, as you can imagine. Worst Carl's Jr. ever! We came for the Fury chicken truck, but since it was not there, we decided to try Carl's Jr. chicken sandwich. There was no one in line and we thought we were lucky to not have to wait. We ordered and received our food fairly quickly. The employees at this location are extremely rude and also do not seem to take public health very seriously. They do not wear masks properly, they have them hanging of their faces or with their noses exposed. On 2 separate occasions this has happened by different employees. She moved to a different location (Clovis/kings canyon) ever since then night shift has been stupid terrible. TONIGHT/ morning irked me to my bones. I have never been so upset. What's up with all these negative reviews? We've been here a couple of times recently and the cashiers were super friendly, as were the servers. The food was perfectly fine (I mean, it's fast food, so it is what it is), but everything was cooked properly and came out hot and fresh. They even custom-made a salad for me because I didn't want cheese on it. And the servers hovered around to help clean up while we were leaving.
