We enjoyed the burgers at Carl's Jr. Our norm was the Famous Star, with cheese. Then, a bit after the covid garbage, every burger arrived cold. We gave it about four tries, figuring we caught them swamped or something. After the fourth try, it seemed apparent luke warm burgers were the norm. At the price of burgers now, I don't think it unreasonable to expect what we get at other places - hot off the grill burgers. We quit going about a year ago. Then, when next door, shopping for plants, we saw the sign for a special. It said we could buy one Famous Star and get one free. We'd never taken advantage of any of Carl's Jr's specials, but thought we'd give it another try. We ordered a Famous Star in a combo, after asking if the "get one free" special applied. They said it did. The bill came to $15.09. With tax, $16.40. That's one hell of a lot of money for one combo and one burger, with just water, via the "get-one-free" special. I photographed the menu, which says the prices for a Famous Star are, under $8.00, under $10.00, and under $12.00. So the Famous Star combo should have been $12.00, at most, plus tax. Accordingly, with the buck extra for the BOGO burger, we should not have paid more than $13.00 and tax for our meal. At least this one was almost hot, but, in the end, Carl's should consider trademarking the name Bottom of the Barrel, if it wouldn't start a battle with Cracker Barrel. read more

i ordered a plain hamburger from here and when i got home the whole hamburger was soaked in what appeared to be some kind of hot sauce. was not making the drive back so i threw it away. not sure why you guys thought it was a good idea to dump hot sauce on a plain burger but i think someone should be fired over that. read more

Came in to simply get a water. The girl working was very polite when I asked her for a water. She offered a medium cup, and I asked if I could purchase a large cup and I would pay for it, no problem. The manager Eduardo had a HUGE problem totally freaked "lol" and started reprimanding the girl right while I was filling my cup up with water! That's when I stepped in and told "Eduardo" that I asked and purchased the cup. I told him I needed "WATER" an essential item to survive! And he tells me "you'll never get a large cup for water ever again" BIZARRE!!!! This dude is a weirdo bad vibes all around. While I'm not the biggest fan of fast food restaurants Carl's Jr offers good quality food at decent prices, I totally recommend trying the guacamole burger, it is totally out of this world! This restaurant may seem to be more expensive than McDonald's or Burger King but it is IMO well worth the extra money. read more

I just went through the drive thru while traveling. The line moved fast and my order was correct. No complaints.

We used to come here at least once a week. At first, it was great, but seriously, the last several (5+) times we've been here, it has been awful. We order low-carb burgers every time, which come lettuce wrapped. Lately, we've had terribly BURNED burgers more than once, missing cheese more than once, and SWEET pickles instead of dill pickles more than once. Anyone who knows about low-carbing knows that sweet pickles are a no-no, as they are empty carbs, so imagine our surprise and emergency regurgitation as we tasted the alien intruder in our burgers. Not cool. These are 4 dollar burgers, mind you. It sure is frustrating to get home and discover we got ripped off. I think we're done with this location for a long while. Stopped in for the first time while on a roadtrip to Portland and was pleasantly surprised. Got a free Big Carl with a Big Carl combo via coupon. An inexpensive lunch, "better" and cheaper than 5 Guys (perhaps an unfair comparison) and someone remarked the fries were the best they'd had in a while. Fast service. Friendly. What is the deal with this place. Two large signs out front say open 24 hours, one sign at drive thru says open 24 hours. I went last week about 3am and got a robotic voice at drive thru that no orders are being taken they are prepping for breakfast. I used to love going to Carl's Jr. But this location has really gone downhill in recent years. The woman who took my order was rude and disaffected. She got my order wrong twice (it was very simple--a fish sandwich and a large coke zero). The second time she returned she handed me a bag dripping with... something. I hope it was just soda. She didn't apologize or even offer a napkin, just turned around and started talking to her coworker (who was similarly unconcerned with this level of service). I won't be returning to this location. The Columbia Ctr Blvd location seems to have much higher standards. Avoid this one on 395. read more

I like this Carl's Jr. and that is alot to say since I worked at the one on columbia center blvd in the early 2000's.My food is always freshly made [no leftover wrong orders sitting in the microwave like some places] and I always make ridiculous requests everywhere I go but it does not seem to bother them even if I do it over and over again.The staff is exceptionally responsive and courteous to everyone I see in here.The place is always clean and they are always busy.[not gossiping like some places] I have even called in about a wrong order [only one] and they gave me free stuff for my next three visits like fries bottled water and an extra burger.Very nice.Very friendly and the girls are sweet.I give it 4 stars for doing what restaurants are supposed to do:Giving you good hot food fast. read more

Ok...so I had a coupon for a free drink with a purchase of a Guacamole Bacon Burger (I've been craving bacon and guacamole for quite some time for some odd reason) from Carl's Jr. I was a little skeptical because I hadn't been there in years, and that couple years ago, I really didn't like their burgers. But to my astonishment, the bacon guacamole burger was absolutely delicious! There was just the right amount of guacamole, which has a little extra kick of spice (I'm not really into spicy food) and there was the perfect amount of bacon. I think it came with pepper jack cheese on it, which usually isn't my favorite as I am a cheddar girl, but it just put that finishing touch on the burger. The burger was juicy and char-grilled and it tasted amazing! I followed it with a side of chili cheese fries, which looked pretty good on the reader board when ordering, thought I would give them a try. I was in AWE! The fries had just the right amount of salt/seasoning and the chili and cheese topped them off nicely. Huge portion if you ask me. Although it was VERY delicious, I could only eat 1/2 of the burger and 1/2 of the chili cheese fries....luckily my husbands cousin was hungry and she at the other 1/2s. I will definitely be back! This restaurant has gotten shoddy in customer service and safety. In the men's room in the handicap stall, there was a puddle of water that was laying there FIVE DAYS and the crew was told about it. They didn't do anything....I stepped in it and slipped and almost fell!! I told one of the crew memebrs about it and he got mouthy!! I told Liz the Shift Leader about it, and she acted "So fucking what??" The staff complain about the pay, the hours, and it's gotten to the point to where I WILL NEVER EVER go back to that crappy store!! When I told the crew about the water puddle, his reply was " Well, we're too damn busy and we can't do it right now." This of course was reported to the Franchise owner, and all I got was an apology. Nothing more. No "Are you ok? Can I do anything?" Just "Thanks. I'll talk to the store". NO wonder Carl's Jr is going down the toilet. Most of the good crew at this store is gone. They were treated very badly. Please have someone talk to the crew and managers. All they do is bitch and complain in front of the customers, and let me tell you, If I was the manager of the store, I would have said " I have stacks of applications on my desk. People need a job. If you don't like it here, perhaps it's time for you to part ways and I can replace you!" Will never go back there or any Carl Jr's again! read more

Had gone to Carl's Jr. for dinner tonight. We live in pasco so it's a bit of a drive for us. We chose to go through the drive thru. My husband ordered the jalapeño thick burger 1/2 pound combo. I ordered the super bacon burger 1/2 pound combo. We got our food and drove home. We should've checked the food. We got home and we both received 1/3 pound cheese burgers. I was rather upset so I tried to call their store. The phone number takes you straight to voicemail. I was upset with the fact that we paid so much and got the cheapest item on the menu. The $6 burger came with onion when we asked it not, the two cheeseburgers didn't have double cheese as requested and paid extra for as shown on the screen, and the large fry was missing from the bag.
