I was SO glad when this new Carl's Jr. opened up...the other one on Sierra College had an employee with major customer service issues, so it was nice to say goodbye to that one! This Carl's Jr. is located right off Hwy 65 and Blue Oaks, next to Chevys and Mel's Diner. They have awesome customer service and their crunchy beef tacos and low carb burgers are consistently fresh, tasty and seemingly almost too-good-to-be-fast-food! Another plus is the dining room and bathrooms are clean, clean, CLEAN! For a fast food establishment, this one's pretty awesome and I can't think of any reasons to deduct a star...so 5 stars it is. read more

Yep, I can't believe I'm reviewing a fast food establishment. But I am. I am because I am so used to the people working there not giving an "F" about food that I thought it would be right to let people know that the cashier and the kid in the back cooking did a wonderful job preparing and serving us Carls Jr. food. I just spent $10 for my lunch at this location. I ordered the fish sandwich combo meal and chose the deep fried zucchini in place of the fries. I don't know which was worse, the fish sandwich or the zucchini. The fish, Alaskan Pollak supposedly, was actually dry and tough and the zucchini tasted like it had been deep fried in rancid oil, which I could smell as soon as I made my way out of the drive thru. I give this location 2 stars. One for the service, which was friendly and one for the diet coke, which was outstanding and ice cold, but that was the only thing good about this visit. I really wished I would have thought to take a picture of the sandwich I got this evening. I ordered one of their premium sandwiches, a half pound El Diablo, and when I got it home, it looked like someone had dropped the thing on the floor. The patty was dry, and broken into 3 pieces. The top bun and the bottom bun were smashed flat, and the burger even had a wrong ingredient , the funny thing was that was the only good part. The lone mushroom that was on the sandwich that shouldn't have been there. I called the store to complain and was offered a shake for my troubles. I'm giving this one a 5. No, it is not a traditional 5-star restaurant. But, in it's realm of fast-food places, this one is the tops in my area. The staff there is ALWAYS nice. And this place is CLEAN! Compare it to the other CJ on Stanford Ranch. You'll find it worlds apart. Please, thank you, thanks for coming, good to see you, etc... The food is prepared quickly for both dine-in and drive-through. And it seems that the food here is fresher than the other local CJ's. I have come here about once a week for a quick bite for lunch. I enjoyed the Western Bacon Cheeseburger. I have started trying the Famous Star and can say I WAS really impressed, especially for fast food. However, the past two times its been awful. The first time I specifically requested no mayo, no onions and no spread. There was enough mayo to spread over a sheet cake. It was repulsing. Yes, they re made it but you could tell the Manager was having to tell the line cook several times. Today, I ordered the same thing except this time there was a stack of onions. Ordered 2 easy 5 dollar boxes. At least I thought it would be easy for them not to f... it up. 1st hot dog was cold and bun looked like it was smashed beyond recognition.2nd asked for tomato and lettuce on double cheese burger and got none. I asked order taker if she got my order right since she was taking so long to enter it, she said yes. So I had to take the burger back to have them put lettuce and tomatoes on. I work near by, so I frequent this location. This place is great but there's one person working there that really shines. I wish I knew his name, but he works the drive thru and has a red beard. This guy goes above & beyond any fast food customer service I've ever seen. I don't know if he's the manager, but he definitely should be! He always has a smile & is genuinely friendly. I'm a fan of Carl's Jr. Have been for a very long time. This location (Lone Tree Blvd in Rocklin) just doesn't cut it. The team is reasonably nice, the restaurant is reasonably ok, but the product isn't up to snuff. The soda. I like root beer and when I drink it here, they fountain machine is clearly off... I have a lot of carbonated clear liquid (water?) and almost no root beer syrup or whatever the dark stuff the machines adds in. PLEASE FIX YOUR MACHINE Food. The food is ok and delivered to the table. If you are the owner, manager or regional manager of this location, you've got a team there that can do the job, but you need to take a serious look at your business. Step back into the corner and watch your restaurant for an hour or two. Ask your customers what would make the experience better for them. Cleanliness in every spot in the restaurant is non-negotiable. Friendly customer service is non-negotiable. Properly adjusted soda machine is non-negotiable (and easy to fix). Proper preparation and presentation of food should be pretty easy to attain as your company has lots of guides on this. read more

Came here early in the morning and asked for two water's. When I got to the window, this guy with a big smile, jokingly said "19.50". He then started laughing and said Just joking, have a nice day. My husband said "Now that's what will keep me coming back here, that guy has a great attitude this early in the morning" We went back for dinner and he was still there smiling and full of life. Today I went to purchase some food on my lunch break. I had a very simple order, and the girl taking my order couldn't stop talking to the guy behind her. As I was waiting at the counter for my change... she started at me blankly for a minute and asked if I wanted the change. I used to work in fast food, and I know that is not acceptable. My family was so looking forward to a great hamburger tonight. I didn't go through the drive thru as it was too crowded. Had I known that they are understaffed and take drive thru customers first, I would have waited in line. Finally, after getting my food to go, I brought the burgers home for the family. Unprofessional. I stopped going to this location (although it is the only fast food restaurant near my work), because one of the drive-thru employees was rude. I had the audacity to order a hamburger without cheese. He was very put out at having to key in the order a second time. I went back today, thinking that maybe I caught someone on a bad day. It happens to all of us. Nope. This time a woman was at the helm. I ordered a number 3, no cheese, with a diet soda. She said, "so, I guess you only want the burger?"
