I ordered the build your own bag on the app. I've never been to a Carl's junior before, so I don't have much of a baseline for them specifically to go off of, but this is my rating for everything: Cali burger - 6.8/10. Again, I've never been here, so i wouldn't say anything went wrong. Just not really my favorite. Waffle Fries - 10/10. Scrumptious, and very hot and fresh Chicken nugget stars - honestly kinda mid, so maybe 7/10. They might have been older than all the other items in my bag, but the shape was very fun for dipping and the flavor and texture was consistent and nice to munch on. Frozen strawberry lemonade - 9/10. Fresh, but I personally would have enjoyed a stronger strawberry flavor (not the employees' faults, though.) Ranch was meh, but that's Heinz's fault, lol I was very impressed by the freshness of my order, though! I ordered it less than 5 minutes before I went into the drive-thru, so I was expecting a bit of a wait, but it was ready almost right when I got to the window! Ok, here is service. Micky Dees requires you to use their kiosks or drive through. Each time I try to order at the counter, the day that system is not working. I call BS. In Google and Yelp it says it closes at 1 am. Drive thru woman said corporate closed all Carl Jrs in Oregon at Midnight. If indeed Carl Jr closes at midnight, advertising must reflect that. Carl Jr must have a Tech working to fix Hours of Operations for each restaurant location or their manager or assistant manager as it happens in other businesses. I find it a horrible experience to expect this restaurant to be open, drive 3 miles, and to get here and be disappointed because it actually closed at midnight. Having to look for something else to eat that has beef, lettuce, tomatoes and onions, is heart breaking to a Diabetic amputee who needed something quickly and now will have to be content with a overly salted convenient store beef jerky. Great location! I frequent Carl's Jr. In Portland and have come to expect flat wet buns and not as fresh condiments as they should be. Fries are normally cold. We come here often because the crew is always friendly and attentive. The tables are ALWAYS clean, as well as the entire indoor dining area and drink station. The food is fresh, a real treat at a great value. Fast food in general has really declined post pandemic, some places don't even have tables anymore. First off let me say that if it was possible for me to leave a zero star review i would have, but this one star will have to suffice. I walked into this location at 8:05 am this morning. I felt like a biscuit and this was closest to my work. There were absolutely no customers in the resturant. I walked up to the counter. There were no workers at the register. There was one worker sweeping the floor. This was the only person i could see. Over the span of 3 minutes (felt like 30), this worker looked at me twice did/said nothing and went back to sweeping. At this time i actually spoke out and asked if anyone was there...about 30 seconds later, the manager (or At least i am guessing she was), came up to the front registers with a armload of supplies. She said "I'll be with you in a minute" she said. I paused, then i turned around and walked out. This "service" was unacceptable in my opinion. First of all it was 8 am. All the supplies should have been stocked. Secondly, in my experience working in fast food/ customer service, when you see a patron needing assistance, you put down what you are doing and help them, not ignore them. I will not be returning to this location. Hopefully the franchise will see this and take appropriate action. I had a good experience here. I ordered the big burger with cheese and classic sauce (Carl's answer to 1,000 island dressing) and a medium ice tea (they serve the "real thing here" - not something from the soda fountain that tastes terrible). I really like the salsa bar that is there - I loaded up on some fresh salsa (pico de gallo) to my burger and it was perfect. Total cost: Under $4 The place was spotless, I was third in line when I got there and I had my food delivered to me in under 12 minutes. So while it wasn't blindingly fast, being able to get my drink, pick up some pico for the burger and sit down and wait for it to be delivered gave me time to respond to a couple of text messages. The prices here are good for fast food, the place was spotless, the service was great. The person behind the counter was covering both the drive thru and the dining room but went out of her way to greet me on the way in and thank me on the way out. I wish more fast food places could find employees that are that committed to their job and customer service. I have enjoyed their breakfast burritos before and I highly recommend them for your on - the - go breakfast. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE service!!!! I went through the drive through this past Sunday. Ordered lunch. After waiting almost 14 minutes, yes I timed it got attitude and crappie service from the older African American woman at the window. Asked her her name and she slurred it out three times, couldn't understand her. I asked for napkins to go with my lunch, she refused. Said management won't allow her to give any out. Also null on the ketchup!!! She mumbled something that management told her she couldn't give out these items through the drive through!!!???!!! That's my last visit there!!! Worst fast food experience EVER. Tried to order the "double deal" (char broiled hamburger, 2 for $5 and the person's accent was so thick it was unintelligible. They also start pitching their own "deals" when you drive up to the squawk box, very irritating when you know what you want. I couldn't get the charburger because they didn't know what it was, and gave me a "double burger" (double meat). The "double deal" is on the window - a big ad! Had to ask three times for what I wanted and they kept telling me the kind of double burger I could have - I gave in and said "guacamole!" Then, when I got to the window to get the order, a man came up and got the card, then another guy came to the window and gave me the bag without giving me back my card, and I didn't notice cuz I was so upset. I went to Petsmart, and had to pay with my VISA for my dog kibble. Went back to Carl's and told them what happened (back at the squawk box), they asked my name TWICE, then I went to the window and he gave it back (I showed them my ODL), and didn't even say "sorry." I think that the management here must be good because the two times I came here, the delivery line was fast and the food was exactly what I was expecting , very tasty. Went here after a bad experience at McDonald's earlier. Ordered "Natural Cut Fries". Service was very quick, fries tasted fresh. They were a little bland but I always prefer less seasoning than more. It's pretty easy to add more seasoning but nearly impossible to take it off if seasoning is too heavy. read more

This place was incredibly clean. Everyone was in proper uniform and wearing gloves. Everywhere I looked it seemed clean. The bathrooms smelled good the seats were wiped down along with the tables. First of all when you go through a drive through you expect expedient service because usually when you enter a drive through you are on the go or in a rush to get somewhere. Well I ordered here and was told to park my car in front because it would take some time. This totally defeats the purpose of a drive through! If I wanted to wait in my car for food I'd go to sonics! If I wanted to wait extra time for a burger and fries I would have gone to red robbins! This annoys me so much. If I didn't have my nephews with me I would have asked for my money back. My mother really likes the food here, especially after a long day where none of us want to cook. The food is always delicious, and prepared in a reasonable time. The restaurant is always clean, and the staff that works here is super polite. Sometimes tired and not super chatty, but none of us blame them. We all have bad days, and even on the worst days here? Nearly every time I go through the drive thru here they mess up something with my order. Tonight it was worse than usual. Inattentive server who was chatting up the car in front of us letting us wait. Left her mic on so we heard the whole thing. Asked me the same questions multiple times because not paying attention. Didn't read my order back so when I confirmed it at the window she said "it's all on the receipt" like I was bothering her or something. Served us cold fries and shorted us one of three orders of fries. When I called in to advise them of the problem, the manager was dismissive and rude. Kept saying "sorry you feel that way" which we all know means "I think you are wrong and I don't really care about what you are saying". Ruined my dinner that I paid $25 for three combos. I really like the lettuce wrapped sandwiches but beware if you order the criscut fries. They are fried in rancid oil and the smell is horrible and they taste rancid. I called to complain on two different occasions and they suggested when I order them to ask that they be dropped in the "fresh oil" I wonder if the other vat is labeled "rancid oil" They would have 5 stars if they regularly changed their oil. read more
