    Breakfast special number one

I am leaving one star for the wonderful waitress who somehow managed to serve everyone in the entire restaurant single-handedly and with a smile. Unfortunately, I found that despite some good reviews, this place is subpar. I paid $35 for two breakfasts. I was served a dish with two eggs, two thin slices of toast, I don't know how they slice the toast that thin, a huge plate of greasy home fries, and bacon that was so greasy it was inedible. The floors were filthy and I can't imagine they have been washed in months. This is a small space and tables are crammed everywhere making it difficult for the waitress to move around. My husband said the men's room was simply disgusting. The flies on the window next to us eagerly looked at our plates, waiting to pounce at the first opportunity. Not a positive experience.

He makes cooking on the flat top look simple.

My husband and I were in Syracuse for "Wicked" and we stayed overnight. We come to Syracuse quite a bit and, as of about 40 minutes ago, we hadn't found a favorite breakfast place. When my husband read a ridiculous one star review, we knew we had to stop in. We both agree, we have now found our favorite breakfast place! First, the food....I ordered the #2 breakfast (2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 sausage and 2 bacon. The pancakes would be more than a meal by themselves. Thank goodness my husband wanted one of them. They were huge and fluffy and delicious! I ordered my eggs scrambled and they too were light, fluffy and cooked for the perfect amount of time. The bacon was delicious and the sausage was nicely browned and tasty. My husband ordered hash, eggs and toast. I tried a bite of his hash and WOW! We both think it had to be made in house. Second, the atmosphere....this is a classic, old school diner. We sat at the counter and enjoyed watching the masterful cooking on the flat top. Lastly, the staff was super friendly and attentive. Even though this was our first visit, the friendliness of our server made us feel like regulars. We can't wait to go back and next time I'm definitely going to try the brioche French toast I spied cooking on our way out!

Really good food in a divey kinda cramped space. Excellent tasting food with very quick service. Chopped omelette was great.

Again a great meal. I have corned beef hash and eggs and rye toast. My partner in crime has the Philly cheese streak on s hamburger roll. She raved about it. So good. So nice

Corned Beef Hash, Home Fries, Two Eggs Over Easy, Rye Toast... Perfection!

Ate here on a Sunday morning on the way back from a college visit with my youngest daughter, meeting up with my oldest who goes to school in Syracuse. At first the outside appearance was a bit sketchy for my girls but after they peaked inside, they gave it a thumbs up as they know it was the kind of place I was looking for. We ate in the dining room, but after attempting one of the tight-squeeze booths, our waitress suggested we pull together two small tables... much better. I'm a sucker for corned beef hash and usually skip the home fries so as not to double-down on the potatoes but this time I shot the works and was glad I did. The hash was great, the home fries unbelievably good with chunks of red peppers, and my eggs over easy were cooked perfectly. Two generous slabs of buttered rye toast were a delightful surprise to make for a hearty breakfast indeed. My girls opted for pancake, egg and sausage combos and cleaned their plates, too. The service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. I'll definitely be back the next time I am in Syracuse!

We tried The All Night Egg Plant a week or so ago & had a lovely time. The spot is a little hard to find depending on which direction you're coming into the plaza from. They're tucked away a little towards the back of the plaza but once you see it- you can't miss it. The staff were really nice & we were able to get seated quickly. They had a variety of tables & a counter space. We've sat in both areas & had good service both times. I really liked the omelette I had the first time we went but I really loved the last plate that we got which was a fantastic mix of everything you could think of to eat for breakfast. I'm looking forward to our next visit because I'd like to try something on the sweeter side.

She instantly changed them but she already touched my food.So from there I didn't feel comfortable to eat from the restaurant. I still paid for my food and I still tipped the waiter because it wasn't her fault. I'm very disappointed that I saw what the cook did.Hopefully that cook could learn proper cooking etiquette. I wouldn't revisit!

Rise N Shine has such cute decor! I love the entrance and the overall aesthetic. The restaurant uses a QR code menu just FYI. There's also a parking lot which seemed like it would get full quickly if on a busier day. Our waitress was Karen (?) and she was very sweet. We ordered the Hot Honey Chicken and waffles (without gravy cause they ran out) and the Basic "B" with an extra side of hash brows. The chicken and waffles was pretty tasty! The waffles were light and airy and the chicken was moist with a nice crunch. I'm not sure how the gravy would've affected the texture but it was definitely delicious without it. The Basic B was standard, the bacon was apple smoked and thick. The pancakes were yummy, they came with a cinnamon butter which was perfect for the pancakes. And the hash browns were nice and crispy. Overall I really enjoyed trying this place out as it has been on my list! I will definitely come back again!
