    chicken sandwich #yum #ReviewsByRL

I'm visiting from out of town and I learn of a hot dog drive-in diner-style place? Yes, please! Plenty of parking in a big lot (sit in your car to order) but also an order window and a dozen picnic tables if you want to sit outside. After chatting with my friendly server about what she liked on the menu, I ended up getting a chicken sandwich, diet root beer, and fried mushrooms. Also, since I travel with my dog, a plain hot dog for him. One really cool thing is they give dogs a free hot dog! (It is cold, but my dog doesn't care!) The root beer was tasty. The chicken sandwich looked good and tasted ok; it wasn't anything amazing. (I know, I should have had a hot dog, but I've been on a chicken sandwich kick recently ...) The fried mushrooms were not homemade, but they were good. My dog thoroughly enjoyed his hot dog (although it was a little weird looking, color-wise, so I'm assuming was the cooked leftovers that they put back in the freezer or something) -- but he loved it. All in all, it wasn't amazing, but it was worth the experience. They didn't have desserts, but there is an ice cream shop literally across the street, so we did that as well and it made for a little fun evening. #yum #ReviewsByRL

Got a quick lunch! Easy place to get good fast food. They have their own homemade root beer. They have really good barbecue. The ambience is very old school and the service is great! Make sure to tip them!

My wife is from Michigan City and Carson's is a summer must stop for us! The root beer here is a MUST! I have never had such good root beer. It's a drive up location; eat in the car or eat at a bench and the service is amazing! They come up to you car and write what you need and the food is out quickly. The burgers are perfect sized the onion rings are great my wife always get a Chicago dog with fries and nobody is unhappy. It's a cool spot and a great place to visit on your way to the beach or on your way back. It's a fun place that to me looks like something straight out of a movie.

Fun, old fashioned drive in. Curb hops were very friendly and patient while we made up our minds. Loved the root beer and hot dogs.

Our annual stop at Redamak's on the way to our cottage for summer vacation did not disappoint!…read more We started with the clam strips. Everyone in the family ordered their own version of the famous Velveeta burger, and my son decided to try a banana shake this year. It was so good that I kept stealing sips! I ordered the black bean burger which was great. The restaurant was packed when we arrived, but the wait was only about 25 minutes. We lucked out and grabbed the last seat at the bar, where we enjoyed our first Oberon beer of the summer while the kids had fun playing the video games. It ended up being the perfect start to our vacation. If you're heading through the area, Redamak's is absolutely worth the stop for great burgers, fun atmosphere, and classic summer memories. Just don't forget it's cash only!

Like seriously?! The food came out fast and the cheese curds were not bad ( nope not a Wisconsin curd since I am do live in Wisconsin and eat curds on the regular ) hamburger had 0 flavor and I hate tons of flavor. The reason it was only 3 stars because the fact you let children run in the dining area is absurd. Especially since they have an awesome jungle gym on the other side for them to play. But if you passing through like us, and have CASH , stop in and perhaps you will have more then a 3 star review.

We stopped into Shoreline Brewery while visiting Michigan City because it was unbearably hot…read moreoutside and we needed somewhere to cool off before we could check into our hotel. We ordered the Elote Pizza, and overall it was really good. It had a nice wood-fired crust that was probably the highlight of the meal. The only downside was that it came with a garlic aioli that was very heavy...there was so much on the pizza that it overpowered some of the other flavors. I think it would have been even better with a lighter hand. For drinks, I had one of their sour beers and my husband ordered an IPA. Both were good, but neither really stood out as anything particularly memorable. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and took good care of us. The layout of the brewery was a little unexpected. We walked into the main entrance, then the host brought us back outside and over to a separate building where the bar is located. It was a little confusing at first, but it ended up being a neat setup. The restaurant was clean, with a spacious dining room and a nice-looking patio. The only thing that kept this from being a higher rating was the value. It felt a little expensive for what we ordered, and while everything was solid, nothing really wowed us. Overall, I'm glad we stopped in, especially as a place to escape the heat for a while. If you're in the area and looking for a casual meal and a local beer, it's worth checking out...I just wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit again.

Spoke to the manager who was very unapologetic and didn't seem to care about treating your customers well. Pretty much said that's their policy even if you happen to come just 5 mins before close. Food was average, their "award winning" lamb burger was not medium rare as stated on the menu. The only saving grace was our waitress who was very attentive and empathetic. Will not venture here again nor will recommend anyone to go here.

We grabbed a beer and a glass of wine at the bar while we waited. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about this restaurant. It's open, welcoming, and full of personality. I loved all of the dog photos throughout the restaurant and their "Sit. Stay. Eat!" theme, it gives the place such a fun, relaxed vibe. The menu is awesome, I honestly had a hard time deciding because everything sounded so good. We started with the truffle fries and they were incredible. For my entrée, I chose the grilled red snapper tacos, they were delicious. The fresh pineapple salsa paired perfectly with the fish, and I especially loved the pickled red cabbage on top. The snapper was grilled perfect. My husband and daughter shared the grilled shrimp po'boy which turned out to be a great decision because it's a generous-sized sandwich. They both liked the Cajun remoulade sauce and the soft telera roll it was served on. They also ordered a side of onion rings. My son enjoyed the cheeseburger from the kids menu. Our server was friendly and attentive. The Stray Dog has great food, a fun atmosphere, and excellent service. It's easy to see why it's such a popular spot. We will definitely be back the next time we're in New Buffalo!
