I love soft pretzels, especially Amish soft pretzels (see JoJo's Pretzels review in Shipshewana for reference), so going to Ben's Pretzels when in Michigan City was a no brainer. My best friend got a kit to make them at home and you get a free jumbo pretzel when you do that. You can also earn free pretzels through their phone app, which will come in handy for a pretzel lover like me. They were handling to covid regulations pretty well, even for a semi small place. I really enjoyed my pretzel, which I didn't even need dipping sauce for. My best friend enjoyed hers which I was happy about because she said she had never been to a Ben's Pretzels before. We got the #2 Jumbo Pretzels and Dip Meal Deal. Two pretzels and drinks for $10.99. I think we got charged for one of the drinks but I didn't fuss. On any trip to Lighthouse outlet mall, I like to stop here for a pretzel mid morning to carb load for the final surge of shopping. I felt kinda bloated after eating the giant pretzel but the feeling soon passed. They have 10-12 different pretzel dips, savory or sweet, lots of choices. read more

I came here for the first time today. There was two girls who immediately greeted me and were very friendly. They went out of their extra way to make sure I knew what specials there was and that I had a good experience. One of the girls let me know that you get a free jumbo pretzel when you download the app. So, I downloaded the app and got my free pretzel it was amazing. I also purchased a five dollar combo meal. It was a large drink, dip and I tried the six sticks. I would definitely come back this place is awesome read more

I am not a huge pretzel fan, but I am not a fan of eating a meal then going to the mall to try on clothes, so when hunger arises while deal hunting in Michigan City, Ben's is my place. Best pretzel I ever had. Though, I haven't had many. It was warm, soft, fresh, huge! Service at the counter wasn't very friendly. The counter area where you get your straws/napkins was a mess. I realize it was black Friday, and they were swamped, but keep up the cleanliness! Seating inside and lots of tables outside. i prefer this location over the mishawaka one because they're always so nice and friendly here. i swear, these are the BEST pretzels I've ever had IN MY LIFE. I'm on my third decade of pretzel-eating now, and have had a lot of pretzels in my day, but I never bought more than one pretzel at a mall until I met Ben's. shamefully, i admit to having bought, and ate, two Ben's pretzels within an hour. =( they were so good that i thought of getting a third one, and if it weren't for calories and health and all that un-stuff, i would have. oh, believe me, how much i would have loved to have another warm and buttery, chewy yet crispy, Ben's pretzel. i just had one today and a 1/4 of the way through, i wanted to buy another one. now i wish i bought one (or two, or three) for the next few days. p.s. they have a pretzel kit for about 10 bucks. comes with various coupons for free, or reduced price pretzels, and the pretzels came out pretty delicious the last time i bought it. =D read more

I've eaten here a few times with the family. The first time I ate here, it was shortly before close and the pretzel was horrible. The wife convinced me to try again next time we were here, and I'm glad she did. Best pretzels I've had. Prices are cheap too! Lost a star for the first impression. my friend and I were at the lighthouse outlet mall thought we would get a pretzel ordered the pretzel and ask for a glass of ice water was told by the cashier they did have water anymore and that the no water was a company policy talk to manager named dan he said for 74 cents we could get water not very happy I check your pop prices and the pop machine out side was cheaper while I was getting the pop my friend heard dan talking about me getting mad because I couldn't get something for free my friend told him that you shouldn't talk about a customer in front of other customers and dan told us to leave or he was going to call security so we left we are 61 and 68 years old I have never be treated like this in my life I don't think I will be back ever if this is how ben's pretzel treat senior citizen's read more
