Holy smokes, what a treat. This was my first visit since they moved from Franklin St and it was so good. I had an impossible burger with pineapple and teriyaki and it was perfect. Along with Octave in Chesterton this was the best vegan burger I've had in the region. I'm sure the normal food is also great! Oh and they have a Jones Soda fountain, not sure what else you could ask for.

Shrimp po boy special. It said spicy but wasn't very spicy at all.

I always enjoy a visit. The sweet potato fries are so crispy! And the chipotle mayo that comes with them is great. I loved my burger, but I did change it quite a bit from the menu. I got the Royale Melt with no onions and only American, no Swiss. It was so good! The service was quick and attentive. I love the new location too. It would be a great place to come with a group because they have tons of seating. The soda options are Jones Cola which I enjoy. My lunch date didn't love it as much since there was only one choice for diet/no sugar (in soda, there is also an unsweetened tea option). The special sandwiches and burgers are always interesting and tasty too.

The food was excellent and the service was great. The burger was one of the best I've had in a long time, and we really enjoyed both the fries and sweet potato fries. The Jones sodas were a fun bonus!

I was so impressed with this spot. I love Bob's Burgers & the fact that they incorporate this into their establishment won me over even more. It's a clean, open, & chill restaurant. The person taking our order was helpful and patient. My husband ordered (of all things) a salad. It was top tier! Didn't disappoint. Great portion for the price. Also tasty. I had the melt. Great choice. No regrets. The burgers come with two patties. I requested one. It was a little small but enough for me. The fries were perfect! Crisp on the outside & soft on the inside. 10/10 will recommend. I plan on visiting the one in my hometown & hope it's just as good.

    Patio seating

Beautiful space, so bright and open! Nice patio seating as well! I wasn't super hungry so I got the street corn, which I truly didn't love but my friend did! Tried a bite of her Melt Royale and that was delicious. Great patty, nice crust on the bread!

Solid neighborhood joint with delicious and juicy burgers! Tables accommodating groups of 4 are towards the front. For larger gatherings, long communal high top tables are in the back. Pricing as of July 2023 is mid range with most burgers averaging around $9.50-12 (excluding tax). Sides and drinks are purchased ala carte. Weather permitting, patio seating is available in the front and back of the restaurant. Free public parking on the streets is always a plus.

This place is inexpensive and the food and ambience are so great! Even the bourbon onion rings you can bite and not pull the whole onion out! Lol the elote is great (although I'd do just a bit less cheese) The royale with cheese smash burger is mustard crusted and tastes like an old school, juicy cheeseburger should. ! Oh and Jones sodas on the fountain. They have a regular burger feature as well that we can't wait to try! Definitely with your hard earned money!

I loved their double cheeseburger. The meat-to-bun ratio is perfect, and the cheese melts into every bite. The pickles add a nice tangy contrast. It is simple, classic, and delicious.

Our group started with the pierogi appetizer, and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. They were perfectly fried with a crispy exterior and topped with sour cream, bacon, and onions. Super flavorful and hit the spot! For dinner, I ordered the Chicken & Bacon Jam Sandwich with sweet potato fries. While the chicken itself was tender, the bacon jam was much sweeter than I expected and ended up overpowering the sandwich. I was hoping for more of a savory flavor. The bottom bun also soaked up quite a bit of oil, making it pretty soggy and messy to eat. The sweet potato fries weren't quite my style either because they were heavily coated in sugar and tasted more sweet than savory. Unfortunately, neither is something I'd order again, even though both sounded great on the menu. We visited during a busy Saturday dinner rush, so our food took a while to arrive, but our server was friendly, attentive, and acknowledged the delay, which I always appreciate and understand! We sat outside on the patio, which was a fun place to spend the evening. The only thing I noticed was that there wasn't any music playing outdoors like there was inside, and I think that would have added a little more energy to the space. Overall, I don't want to knock this place too much because I genuinely think it's a great spot for Michigan City. Between the local beer selection, large menu, welcoming atmosphere, and outdoor seating, it's definitely worth a visit! I'd happily come back and try some different menu items next time!

The bar has windows to show off the brewery behind the scenes. Our server was amazing. So nice & friendly. He even brought us a sample beer to taste while we were deciding. I ordered the stellar blue, my husband had the bleacher bum hazy IPA. They both were great! We got the huge hot pub pretzel with cheese dip. $16. It was good, but a little doughy. We still polished it off. Was great with the beers. I ordered fish & chips. It came with coleslaw. I was excited to try it because the menu said it had dried cherries. Unfortunately it was small & didn't have any cherries. It came with 3 big pieces of fish breaded perfectly. Amazing French fries. Lots of them. Definitely glad I was sharing. The menu was big & I can't wait to try more food & beer.

Bottom Line: Fun, waterside, marina atmosphere with decent food. Worth a stop…read more I picked this place out from my map function because it looked interesting, on the water, and near an historic, old railroad bridge (Trail Creek Swing Bridge). It is my first time here, and for a late afternoon linner. The place did not disappoint--for the most part. It is open air with a beachy, boaty, picnic tables-under-umbrellas vibe. It overlooks the water, a marina, and the name inspiring railroad swing bridge which makes for an interesting visual environment. Thankfully there is no attempt to force an out of place theme, sparing us from steel drum background music. Interestingly though, the only nod to the railroad structure inspired name was an old school railroad crossing sign at the entry otherwise everything else is boat marina feel. Our server was friendly and efficient. My hefty burger was thick and juicy. The coleslaw was fresh. The disappointment was the fries. They were more like shoestring fries and came dried out/overcooked. The sweet potatoes fries were a better bet. The lackluster fries were not enough though to lose a star. Overall the experience was a satisfying one and at a reasonable price. I would definitely come back especially as a very nice alternative to the other railroad name inspired brewery restaurant in town.

First, credit where it is due, our server was very nice and prompt. Awesome service. But what happened to the food???? The perch is gone and replaced by "pub fish" that is utterly tasteless and my wife's burger was tasteless as well, looked like a preformed bag burger. Y'all have to step this up or I can't come back. We moved away years ago and I try to come back 1-2 times per years and this isn't the same. The fries were incredible as always. The deck was a nice place to sit.
