Mickey burger
Annie S.

Been here many times for breakfast and lunch. I love the cornbeef hash and the mickey burger (basically a cheeseburger). The burger doesn't come with a side, so you have to add those on. We love the cheese fries and fried mushrooms. Chill vibes inside, not fancy. Service is great and attentive. Lots of parking.

We enjoyed our stop off on the way from chicago to Kalamazoo -- was hoping for non fast food and had a very decent diner meal. Hubs loved the chicago dogs and the Patty melt was a little off the typical but tasty -- it was a smash burger fyi. Their breakfast menu looked a little extra in a good way. We make this trip several times a year so we will likely stop again.

solid burger and malt. The fries are decent. The cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed our meal!

Smash burgers are one of my fav things and this place does them well, crispy edges with a juicy patty. The schoop's near me sadly closed and it was one of my favorite spots so I had to check out another one and the quality is almost just as good, would still recommend!

Back on Sep 2023. Of course I made a stop. Only recommendation is that the cook take the burger off a wee but sooner. Burger was a bit dry. Other than that fries and cherry coke were excellent. And prices are up as everywhere else

Honestly I can't remember the name but it has two pieces of cheese and one hamburger patty with onion rings

Scoops has been a staple my whole childhood. They have a small yet big variety and their hamburgers are the best. It's a classic place to go with your family so if you haven't gone there yet check it out.

Schoop's Hamburgers is half way between my house and Shipshewana, Indiana. Perfect for us to stop for a Friday afternoon lunch. We haven't been to a Schoop's in years but we always remember their hamburgers with the crispy edges. Our lunch was terrific. We ordered a patty melt, one patty cheese burger and the curly fries, which they call 'loops'. Service was excellent. Friendly, fast and accurate. It is fun to look at all of the memorabilia and the music that plays fits the restaurant perfectly.

"Only" 8.09 for a plain burger? That's wild. There are so many other places to get a good burger that includes cheese at least.

Our annual stop at Redamak's on the way to our cottage for summer vacation did not disappoint!…read more We started with the clam strips. Everyone in the family ordered their own version of the famous Velveeta burger, and my son decided to try a banana shake this year. It was so good that I kept stealing sips! I ordered the black bean burger which was great. The restaurant was packed when we arrived, but the wait was only about 25 minutes. We lucked out and grabbed the last seat at the bar, where we enjoyed our first Oberon beer of the summer while the kids had fun playing the video games. It ended up being the perfect start to our vacation. If you're heading through the area, Redamak's is absolutely worth the stop for great burgers, fun atmosphere, and classic summer memories. Just don't forget it's cash only!

On Yelp it sounds like heaven. However no where it says s CASH only. Thankfully we had a debit card…read moreso we could get cash from the ATM but guess what? One ATM was out of cash!!!' Like seriously?! The food came out fast and the cheese curds were not bad ( nope not a Wisconsin curd since I am do live in Wisconsin and eat curds on the regular ) hamburger had 0 flavor and I hate tons of flavor. The reason it was only 3 stars because the fact you let children run in the dining area is absurd. Especially since they have an awesome jungle gym on the other side for them to play. But if you passing through like us, and have CASH , stop in and perhaps you will have more then a 3 star review.

We stopped into Shoreline Brewery while visiting Michigan City because it was unbearably hot…read moreoutside and we needed somewhere to cool off before we could check into our hotel. We ordered the Elote Pizza, and overall it was really good. It had a nice wood-fired crust that was probably the highlight of the meal. The only downside was that it came with a garlic aioli that was very heavy...there was so much on the pizza that it overpowered some of the other flavors. I think it would have been even better with a lighter hand. For drinks, I had one of their sour beers and my husband ordered an IPA. Both were good, but neither really stood out as anything particularly memorable. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and took good care of us. The layout of the brewery was a little unexpected. We walked into the main entrance, then the host brought us back outside and over to a separate building where the bar is located. It was a little confusing at first, but it ended up being a neat setup. The restaurant was clean, with a spacious dining room and a nice-looking patio. The only thing that kept this from being a higher rating was the value. It felt a little expensive for what we ordered, and while everything was solid, nothing really wowed us. Overall, I'm glad we stopped in, especially as a place to escape the heat for a while. If you're in the area and looking for a casual meal and a local beer, it's worth checking out...I just wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit again.

We grabbed a beer and a glass of wine at the bar while we waited. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about this restaurant. It's open, welcoming, and full of personality. I loved all of the dog photos throughout the restaurant and their "Sit. Stay. Eat!" theme, it gives the place such a fun, relaxed vibe. The menu is awesome, I honestly had a hard time deciding because everything sounded so good. We started with the truffle fries and they were incredible. For my entrée, I chose the grilled red snapper tacos, they were delicious. The fresh pineapple salsa paired perfectly with the fish, and I especially loved the pickled red cabbage on top. The snapper was grilled perfect. My husband and daughter shared the grilled shrimp po'boy which turned out to be a great decision because it's a generous-sized sandwich. They both liked the Cajun remoulade sauce and the soft telera roll it was served on. They also ordered a side of onion rings. My son enjoyed the cheeseburger from the kids menu. Our server was friendly and attentive. The Stray Dog has great food, a fun atmosphere, and excellent service. It's easy to see why it's such a popular spot. We will definitely be back the next time we're in New Buffalo!

Bottom Line: Fun, waterside, marina atmosphere with decent food. Worth a stop…read more I picked this place out from my map function because it looked interesting, on the water, and near an historic, old railroad bridge (Trail Creek Swing Bridge). It is my first time here, and for a late afternoon linner. The place did not disappoint--for the most part. It is open air with a beachy, boaty, picnic tables-under-umbrellas vibe. It overlooks the water, a marina, and the name inspiring railroad swing bridge which makes for an interesting visual environment. Thankfully there is no attempt to force an out of place theme, sparing us from steel drum background music. Interestingly though, the only nod to the railroad structure inspired name was an old school railroad crossing sign at the entry otherwise everything else is boat marina feel. Our server was friendly and efficient. My hefty burger was thick and juicy. The coleslaw was fresh. The disappointment was the fries. They were more like shoestring fries and came dried out/overcooked. The sweet potatoes fries were a better bet. The lackluster fries were not enough though to lose a star. Overall the experience was a satisfying one and at a reasonable price. I would definitely come back especially as a very nice alternative to the other railroad name inspired brewery restaurant in town.
