My strategy for finding any new third party is to read the reviews and try and synthesize the truth, speak to a decision maker and assess and finally ask for some quotes for the parts and labor. I spoke to four shops and of course everyone needs to see the job before finally committing and that scope can obviously change. Sam freely and patiently gave me some quotes for both (others couldn't get past - we need to see it), the quotes and the final pricing were both very fair and competitive. Mo communicated freely during the fix and heres the kicker and why we'll trust these guys moving forward. They easily could have turned the minor job into a relatively major fix and they didn't, the problem and solution was less in every sense than what I assumed it would be including their cost - great job the both of you!

I had this problem two previous times. i took it to the Porsche dealer in Baltimore and after two big bills it came back a third time. Rob called me and told me he found a service bulletin for the issue and went ahead and repaired the issue. it was half the cost and three years later still good. since then they have performed yearly service on the car and fixed several other issues. I have been so pleased that I now bring our three Mercedes' there for all service and repairs. I have recommended Artisan to friends who have also now had great experiences.

Most recently after parking my key fob became stuck and the starter didn't engage. After trying AAA for a jump (and sold a new battery) I found myself in need of repair when the new battery didn't start the car. Using AAA to tow it over. Ive never been here and honestly have barely noticed it on Edward St when Ive driven by. Set back from the road a bit with their parking lot in front, upon walking in you realize how deep the building is and how much fits in it. (Neat) Well they gladly accepted my car, I had it towed after calling and discussing what I knew with Chris over the phone and make sure they had availability. The reason that I came here for wasnt as serious as I feared. Upon coming back those fears were met by what it cost to pass the NYS inspection. Obviously no fault of their own, I have a 2013 Chevy that is a hand me down from my parents and had already expected one issue that would probably needed to be addressed. (The Tires) Overall Im really impressed with Towne Motor Car, they were genuinely nice with every interaction and gave me the information that I needed to make a decision or had the conversation with me when what I thought was an issue wasnt. What really impressed me was when I had my car in for the starter issue they fixed the key issue (separate issue in my mind) and they even put my slightly fallen bumper back in place. Going above and beyond for a customer, very strange nowadays. But greatly appreciated! Bringing back in for the inspection they were easy to coordinate the drop off (key in the box, but they were open before 8 to hand it off). I received a call mid-morning to go over the issues needed to be addressed and got a timely call and text near the end of the day to pick it up. Plus they have a website where you can review your past service history, and make appointments. They even use your preferred communication method to reply back (call or text). Although I hope I dont need it soon, I think I found a garage to stick with.

I have had my NYS inspection on my Honda CRV done at Joe"s for 6 years…read more I love that they do a top off of all fluids and an oil change and rotate the tires all with the inspection! The prices here are less than I would pay at the dealer. I know if they find something wrong that Mark the owner will call me himself to tell me and ask if I want it fixed before he charges me. I have total trust in Mark and his team!

Brought my car in for an inspection (cost me $29 last year --- $21 for the inspection & the rest…read moreparts & labor for a minor issue. Asked if they could do an oil change but they declined...said they weren't able to do this on an Audi). This year brought it in for inspection again. They asked if I wanted anything else done - I said no. Charged me over $80 for the inspection (still $21) PLUS topping off fluids & removing (but NOT rotating) tires, etc. The bill also recommended oil change but said I declined (true, but now they CAN change oil on an Audi?!?!). When I challenged why the extra $60 of stuff beyond inspection was done, the owner justified it as that it is their policy to make sure car was in proper working order (including topping off fluids, etc.), that this was posted on their wall & said he'd talk to his staff to make sure this was more clear to avoid future "misunderstandings." $60 extra isn't the end of the world but this is obviously up-charging with a hand waving explanation. No way would I trust them with ANY type of repair.
