I've bought cars from Carmax now twice and I'll really never buy anywhere else going forward. The experience at the Loveland store was especially great. Here's how: 1) Reserve your car. You can "reserve" the car you want in advance so it doesn't sell. Not sure how long in advance they let you do this but I went from Wednesday to Saturday with my dream car set aside. 2) Online appointments in advance. Next, I'd made an online appointment due to it being COVID and not wanting to spend much time indoors. When I got there the online service had not fully logged the time, but they still got me in at the time I originally requested and had the car I wanted set aside. This is the only place they lose a star. 3) No 'agglin. You probably know this about Carmax already- they have no haggle purchase pricing. I hate haggling, it feels weird and uncomfortable and phony to me. Our sales experience here with Keely were seamless and easy. The car I wanted was priced well as far as KBB is concerned. But it had scratches that had been HORRIBLY touched up which leads me to... 4) Service. To me service is where Carmax really shines! (Particular kudos to Scott!!) They had professional paint guys touch up the poorly done touch ups and honestly the paint looks like new now which honestly had to be a little challenging because the color of my car is different in different lights. They also pulled out a door ding and got a new part where the grill was a little messed up. In the end, I got a pretty perfect car that I am in love with!

Being able to view current inventory online and having someone contact you prior to visiting the store is a huge plus. It gives everyone a better idea of what to expect when going in. They even have a cute little kids corner filled with books and toys for the little ones. The staff was great with my son who isn't quite one year old. Having this separate area for him to play in made the time we were there so much easier on everyone. I highly recommend checking the store out and asking for John. I don't buy cars too often but I will always bring my business here in the future! My husband and I…read moresaw an ad for a car we were interested in from The Right Ride. We test drove it and were not going to buy that day. Fully expecting to be talked into buying it and getting the whole sales pitch, we were pleasantly surprised that was not the case at all. We had such a positive experience that after we drove away we decided to come back and buy the car. Then, we had some problems come up. We were having a really difficult time with getting a bank loan and these guys were so patient and extremely helpful through this process and telling us our options (but never pressuring us to do anything). We ended up getting it all sorted out and left happy with our car. Fast forward about three weeks later, the car starts acting up. It wasn't running well and left us wondering if we were sold a lemon. We decided to call these guys and tell them about the car troubles. They told us to bring the car back to them to have it worked on so we (hesitantly) did that since they initially seemed like such honest guys that it didn't make sense that they would have purposefully sold us this dud. They made it SO right. They put 110% into determining the problem and fixing everything for us. It ended up being something very complex that took a LOT of extra work..not just lifting the hood and replacing one part. This would have cost us a fortune from the dealership and we really lucked out by using their services. These guys are not in the business of screwing people over which is so refreshing in a business with such a bad reputation for doing just that.

I am being blown off, and now I find out Greg Jonson is out for 2 weeks and never notified me. Our repair through USAA and the Loveland statement about their self inflated "customer service" is fabricated. The worst customer service I have received, and I do not live in Loveland I am closer to Colorado Springs-but the repair done on the road-had to take to nearest dealership. Based on this experience I have to say they have failed epically and I question wether service tech just blew me off and has not sent Caliber Collision estimate to "upper Management as claimed" I'm sick of this frickin' hassle and epic customer service failure-and physical repair a failure. A 2019 Ford explorer I put $3,000 down and have made three payments on a vehicle I cannot even drive. The transmission went out the first night I got it. They took it back and fix that problem. Then a few days later the engine went out in the car. They had my car for over a month and said that they fixed that as well. After about a week the engine blew going down I-25. I had to pay 275.00 to have it towed home. They told me they had a solution for me. Which was getting me another car loan for another car but they said they couldn't give me legal advice on what to do with the car I already had. So they tried to stick me with the Ford explorer on top of a Dodge journey they were trying to get me to buy for $10,000. They do an all points check up/inspection of your car before they start any repairs or maintenance and they take a video of the inspection and text it to you while your waiting for your car, whether at the showroom or at your own home as I was recently. And you have an opportunity to VIEW whatever they might find in need of replacement or repair. On a recent visit my video revealed a part in the engine block that resembles, TO ME, a wishbone from a turkey! It sort of straddled two parts of the engine and the inspection revealed that it had spread over time...my car was at least 14 1/2 years old at that juncture! The tech showed me on a video what a brand new one of those wishbone parts looked like and how much more SPREAD mine was. He told me that IF it were to break, and it WOULD if not replaced, I would likely have hundreds of dollars of damage from the various engine fluids that would leak out into and onto my engine. I told them to make the repair even though it added another 5 1/2 hours to my wait time. It was NOT cheap but so necessary. I know this because while I waited I texted my nephew who is a part owner of a repair facility in another state. They specialize in all things BMW. I wanted him to confirm that this WAS a necessary repair because of the steep cost estimate they gave me. He said I sent him the video and he QUICKLY replied: "Yes, the OFH (oil filter housing stand) gasket is maybe $40 but the labor is over 7.5 hours. At our shop we charge $1200 after tax at $150 hr The whole mini is put into "service position" front bumper is removed to access the oil filter stand. Skilled techs can do it well about half that time but unfortunately the standard FRU (Flat Rate Unit) stays the same. Your mini is so clean!!! You picked very well, the Turbo models are more powerful & exhilarating but CAN be problematic for that generation. It's good that your mini isn't turbocharged. AND...I was surprised to see in the video the gasket wasn't leaking oil! It looks like they caught it just in time!" THAT response gave me the confidence to go forward with the repair...the very very FIRST MAJOR repair I needed since purchasing the car (other than new tires twice - normal wear and tear). AND..they always wash my car when I take it in before they release it back to me...a really nice perk (and they vacuum it too!). Cons: Let's face it, owning a Mini Cooper comes with some expenses. After the 5 year warranty ends it's all out of pocket. I've had my 2010 mini for what will be 15 years in MAY. I bought it brand new with all the bells and whistles that I wanted on it! I was in love from the minute I saw it and I still am. It has extremely low mileage at 44,500! But then, I'm not a big road tripper and most of my driving is between GunBarrel and Boulder or GunBarrel and Longmont with an occasional trip to Rock Creek when I need a service from Kaiser that I can't get at one of the local facilities (like a Dexa Scan or Ultrasound for example). Recently I have been quite concerned over a recall letter I received 19 months ago with frightening reporting of my model and year with a potential fire hazard at my feet. Mini was unable to address the issue immediately but FINALLY I was offered a work around that would examine my car for issues that might have been caused by the recall problem and to mitigate them. They even provided valet service for the repair. Someone drove here and picked my car up at 930 a.m. and brought it back to me around 3pm! During the course of the day I received my inspection video announcing that mechanically my car was in fantastic shape! I was able to occasionally text Kyle, the wonderful young man who set this whole fix in motion! (NOTE TO KYLE'S MANAGEMENT: this young man was integral in keeping me a HAPPY MINI OWNER and a HAPPY MINI OF LOVELAND customer! His patience and demeanor with me even though at times I was pretty testy about not having the recall addressed, was exemplary. I hope he will be somehow rewarded. He's definitely a keeper. And he was in touch with me throughout the day too - letting me know how close the pick up person was in the morning and also when he was bringing my car back. He texted me a copy of the repair "invoice" (in quotes because all the charges were ZERO $ because it was being addressed as part of the recall). NO OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE the day of the pickup, footwell inspection/cleanup, sun roof removal and drainage issues resolved, valet service pickup and return. I kind of felt like a celebrity or royalty that day. BOTTOM LINE: I no longer feel nervous while driving my car. I feel safe in my mini again and fully in love with it again. I'm still drawn to the photos I'm getting of the new minis and offers of a trade in if I want to upgrade. But with less than 45,000 miles on my mini, with every detail inside and
