    Scratched paint in bed

I waited six months before writing this review for Loveland Ford because I wanted time to calm down and give them every opportunity to fix what they said they would fix. Six months later, none of it has been addressed. Thinking about the experience still makes my blood boil. I bought a nearly new truck from Loveland Ford. The very first red flag was the pricing games. They attempted to add a $700 "dealer handling fee" and an additional roughly $600 charge for window etching. These were not small or incidental charges. Only after firm pushback did they reduce them. That kind of fee stacking is exactly the sort of thing you expect from a stereotypically bad dealership, not one that markets itself as "farmer owned" and community-oriented. Before seeing the truck in person, my salesman, Jesse "JJ" Yeminez, told me that the truck had no obvious issues and that it was in excellent condition for the mileage it had. The online listing also conveniently excluded any photos showing the bed of the truck. When I arrived, the bed was badly scratched and chewed up. It was nowhere near "like new," and the absence of photos of the bed made that feel very intentional. That still wasn't a deal-breaker for me -- I went forward with the purchase -- but it was a clear lack of honest disclosure. The most serious issue, however, was mechanical. While I was still on the lot, I noticed a loud, inconsistent ticking/rattling noise coming from underneath the truck. I asked JJ, directly and plainly, whether that noise was normal. He told me it sounded normal to him. It wasn't. Fewer than 1,000 miles later, the truck was in for diagnosis for a turbo/wastegate issue that already had an active Ford Technical Service Bulletin. This was a known Ford problem at the time of sale. A competent Ford dealership should not only be aware of a TSB like that, but should certainly not represent an obviously noisy vehicle as "normal" when the sound lined up perfectly with that known defect. Maybe it was ignorance, maybe it was indifference, or maybe it was just wanting to close a deal quickly. Whatever the reason, I was told the truck was fine when it objectively was not. On top of that, Ford's own connected vehicle system still shows my truck registered to the previous owner. I cannot use the Ford app, remote start, or any connected features because the vehicle is still locked to someone else's account. This is not a user-side fix -- only a dealer can release it. I was told I would be contacted the next day to get this resolved. No one ever called. No one ever emailed. Six months later, it still isn't fixed. The truck also did not come with an owner's manual. I emailed the manager about this. His response, literally, was that if the salesperson made a promise to me about an owner's manual, I needed to take that up with the salesperson. No help, no follow-up, no solution -- just deflection back onto the salesman. The paperwork side was just as disorganized. I very specifically asked that I be provided copies of every document that had my signature on it, and I was told they would scan everything and email it to me. Days went by and nothing showed up. I had to contact them just to receive only part of what I signed. In addition to that, the vehicle title was mailed to the wrong address even after my address situation was clearly discussed during closing. The tax refund check was not written for the wrong amount, but it was issued to the wrong person entirely, and now I have to contact them to get it re-issued in my name. One last piece illustrates the overall attitude. After driving several hours to the dealership, something on my other Ford vehicle started making a concerning noise. I did not ask them to diagnose or repair it. I did not ask them to squeeze me in for service. I simply asked whether a technician could spare a minute to listen and tell me whether it sounded safe to drive home. They refused outright. Not "we're slammed, give us a bit." Just no. After traveling hours, buying a truck, and spending a very large sum of money with them, even that basic courtesy was off the table. Any one of these issues would be frustrating. Taken together -- manipulative fees like the $600 window etching, undisclosed condition issues, missing owner's manual brushed off by management, botched title handling, a tax check issued to the wrong person, failure to send signed documents, total lack of follow-up, sale of a truck with a known TSB-covered defect brushed off as "normal," and refusal to offer even a basic safety opinion -- it becomes a genuinely awful and exhausting experience. For a dealership that claims to be honest, small-town, and "farmer owned," what I actually experienced was the exact opposite. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Loveland Ford to think long and hard before doing so.

I had just about given up on locating one that was not damaged. On Wednesday evening I stumbled across an online add from Crossroads Hyundai with the vehicle I was looking for with everything that I was wanting and at a fair price. On Thursday morning I made the trip from Denver to Loveland to see it in person. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no previous damage. My salesman ( Merick, ) was awesome. I was in the dealership a total of about 90 minutes. I drove my new car home at the end of the 90 minutes. I would recommend Crossroads Hyundai and Merich Parr as a salesman to anyone in the market for a new vehicle.

But as soon as we decided on the car, the typical car dealership nonsense started. Adding things to the cost, trying to get us to finance when I had cash ready to buy outright, etc. We were made to wait for over 3 hours to sign paperwork and when we finally got it all signed, I found they had lied and overcharged us for the fees. I asked for a refund of the fees and 8 weeks later, still haven't received a refund. I would AVOID this place. There are plenty of other options.

What I can…read moresay is since all of these reviews, they mush have had a management change or process change. The savvy consumer always does their research online before coming into the dealership. Thus the reason why you are here reading through the reviews. I reached out the the sale manager Nick for my sister who lives right down the street for the store. (I live in Southern California and have been through this process more than a few times) We worked out the details online and then my sister randomly decided to pop in one day without letting either of us know. I'm not sure they sales person's name, but from my understanding, he was very polite, professional and knew a lot about the cars. They ended up walking away with a lower payment with similar down payment than we worked out online. Talk about top notch. Now to address the "High Pressure" idea. Here is a fun fact for every person reading my review. - When people are shopping for vehicles, the average consumer visits 1.6 dealerships before making a purchase. - With that being said, of course they are going to ask you to buy the car the first time you come into the store. You have already seen the car online. You have already narrowed your search down to 1-3 cars you are looking at and finally, you are walking in to make the final decision on what you are going to move forward with. If you don't end up buying then, you will end up buying a car from the very next dealership you visit (Based off of statistics) Expect to be asked to buy the car right now. It's the same way at pretty much every dealership you visit. I had a great experience with Nick and my sister with both Nick and the Sales Person she worked with. I will try and update when my sister shares with me the information of the deal she got and the name of the person she worked with!
