    Scratched paint in bed

I waited six months before writing this review for Loveland Ford because I wanted time to calm down and give them every opportunity to fix what they said they would fix. Six months later, none of it has been addressed. Thinking about the experience still makes my blood boil. I bought a nearly new truck from Loveland Ford. The very first red flag was the pricing games. They attempted to add a $700 "dealer handling fee" and an additional roughly $600 charge for window etching. These were not small or incidental charges. Only after firm pushback did they reduce them. That kind of fee stacking is exactly the sort of thing you expect from a stereotypically bad dealership, not one that markets itself as "farmer owned" and community-oriented. Before seeing the truck in person, my salesman, Jesse "JJ" Yeminez, told me that the truck had no obvious issues and that it was in excellent condition for the mileage it had. The online listing also conveniently excluded any photos showing the bed of the truck. When I arrived, the bed was badly scratched and chewed up. It was nowhere near "like new," and the absence of photos of the bed made that feel very intentional. That still wasn't a deal-breaker for me -- I went forward with the purchase -- but it was a clear lack of honest disclosure. The most serious issue, however, was mechanical. While I was still on the lot, I noticed a loud, inconsistent ticking/rattling noise coming from underneath the truck. I asked JJ, directly and plainly, whether that noise was normal. He told me it sounded normal to him. It wasn't. Fewer than 1,000 miles later, the truck was in for diagnosis for a turbo/wastegate issue that already had an active Ford Technical Service Bulletin. This was a known Ford problem at the time of sale. A competent Ford dealership should not only be aware of a TSB like that, but should certainly not represent an obviously noisy vehicle as "normal" when the sound lined up perfectly with that known defect. Maybe it was ignorance, maybe it was indifference, or maybe it was just wanting to close a deal quickly. Whatever the reason, I was told the truck was fine when it objectively was not. On top of that, Ford's own connected vehicle system still shows my truck registered to the previous owner. I cannot use the Ford app, remote start, or any connected features because the vehicle is still locked to someone else's account. This is not a user-side fix -- only a dealer can release it. I was told I would be contacted the next day to get this resolved. No one ever called. No one ever emailed. Six months later, it still isn't fixed. The truck also did not come with an owner's manual. I emailed the manager about this. His response, literally, was that if the salesperson made a promise to me about an owner's manual, I needed to take that up with the salesperson. No help, no follow-up, no solution -- just deflection back onto the salesman. The paperwork side was just as disorganized. I very specifically asked that I be provided copies of every document that had my signature on it, and I was told they would scan everything and email it to me. Days went by and nothing showed up. I had to contact them just to receive only part of what I signed. In addition to that, the vehicle title was mailed to the wrong address even after my address situation was clearly discussed during closing. The tax refund check was not written for the wrong amount, but it was issued to the wrong person entirely, and now I have to contact them to get it re-issued in my name. One last piece illustrates the overall attitude. After driving several hours to the dealership, something on my other Ford vehicle started making a concerning noise. I did not ask them to diagnose or repair it. I did not ask them to squeeze me in for service. I simply asked whether a technician could spare a minute to listen and tell me whether it sounded safe to drive home. They refused outright. Not "we're slammed, give us a bit." Just no. After traveling hours, buying a truck, and spending a very large sum of money with them, even that basic courtesy was off the table. Any one of these issues would be frustrating. Taken together -- manipulative fees like the $600 window etching, undisclosed condition issues, missing owner's manual brushed off by management, botched title handling, a tax check issued to the wrong person, failure to send signed documents, total lack of follow-up, sale of a truck with a known TSB-covered defect brushed off as "normal," and refusal to offer even a basic safety opinion -- it becomes a genuinely awful and exhausting experience. For a dealership that claims to be honest, small-town, and "farmer owned," what I actually experienced was the exact opposite. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Loveland Ford to think long and hard before doing so.

They told me I needed to bring the car in for an inspection, which I did. They said they perform a full inspection, and after a few hours, they gave me a report stating that, in addition to the rear brakes, it was "urgently needed" with a red exclamation icon to replace the water pump/alternator belts. The person at the front desk, XXXX was very impatient to have me decide whether I would ask them a service or not at the spot. They attached a photo and claimed the belts had cracks and damage, but the photo was unclear. Since I don't know much about cars, I agreed to the replacement. After the service was completed and I paid, I noticed the receipt said "serpentine belts replaced," which alarmed me because I had replaced the serpentine belt just the previous month. I didn't realize that the water pump belt is referred to as the serpentine belt. I went back to question them, and XXXX at the shop showed me the old belts. Of course they looked almost new (one completely IS new) and had no visible cracks or damage. I told him, "You replaced the belt that I had just replaced last month." XXXX responded by just saying, "Sorry, it looked damaged," but did not provide a satisfactory explanation. After this experience, I had my battery--which they had diagnosed as "weak"--checked at another shop. The technician there told me the battery was fine and did not need to be replaced. This experience felt like a complete rip-off. I will not return to this shop. If you are not knowledgeable about cars, be very very cautious, and always ask for another opinion at another shop(s). Based on my experience, they may recommend unnecessary repairs.

So, due to having the 3yr or 36,000mile warranty I took my Truck in to be checked for these issues as I thought it was the AC Compressor being faulty. After setting an appointment with Chris @ this Location today they were specifically told by me Verbally to NOT due any other work on the AC if the Compressor is found not to be the issue under warranty only, they choose to NOT listen to me as the Customer and they performed additional work on my AC unit with the prior Authorization from my person ahead of time. The unexpected cost ended up costing $159.12 which I was not expecting to pay. The tech said that there was Debris in my AC Motor and took off the Panel accesses my AC unit and cleaned the Motor of said debris. This shop has done this to others of my family I my before and this was the last time I am going to their shop for anything regarding my Vehicles going forward. What a Shame of unprofessionalism and what I call a catch 22!

I needed a part installed, backtail light that they tried to order but ordered the wrong part after I waited an hour for the it. I ordered the correct part and asked if they could install it and I'd pay for labor. They quoted $175.00. When the car was done I thought $575 with tax, nope...$789. All the guys there know who I am and don't treat me different because I am a woman; most of them know me by first name on the phone, what cars I own, etc. The owner has some of the best mechanics around and is always there to help, give advice and feedback, guide us in the right direction, troubleshoot, etc. It is great to see other people who are passionate about motorsports and racing. The fact I trust these guys with my car means I would easily trust them with my life. The owner once told me he took over this place because he couldn't trust a garage and decided the best way to remedy that was to run his own. You can't argue with that! For racers (SCCA Time Trials, Time Attack, Club Racing, Solo) they offer every service possible: Corner balancing, full race support, performance parts and installation, advice, troubleshooting, ECU upgrades, and they also rent race cars as well as offer driver services. For the everyday driver they offer basic services like fluid changes, tire mount and balance, mechanical work, etc. These guys have never lied to me or steered me astray or stretched the truth to make a sale. Their shop prices for parts and labor are very reasonable and they don't round their time up or attempt things they don't know how to do (which I haven't found yet).
