Such a great time! I took my two littles and they have so much fun. The spot is popular so lines do get long but the products are amazing. The apple cider donuts are in season as well as the gallon of apple cider for purchase. Several spots offer hot food and drinks. We also enjoyed the live music.

We like Saturday morning walks on the Monon Trail with a pass through the Carmel Farmer's Market. There a lot more vendors here this year than years past. They open at 8am and it gets crowded as the morning progresses. One of our favorite vendor stops is St. Athanasius. They sell a variety of homemade baked goods. We love their biscotti. If you get there early, you can buy a 6 piece variety pack. If they are out of that, you can't go wrong with the Almond Biscotti. Their biscotti is not overly hard like some. We like that ... easier on the teeth and still great for dunking in coffee! Another favorite is We Guac Your World. Both their guacamole and salsa is great! It's made fresh and lasts well in the frig. It's become a staple item in our household. Even if you don't make any purchases, it's fun to stroll the Market, look at the vendors, people watch and listen to the live music. The Market is open every Saturday, 8am to 11:30am, from May through September.

The best way to spend your Saturday morning! This farmer's market is one you won't want to miss. They have coffee and breakfast stands to enjoy breakfast in the sun while you're shopping, and some of the best farms around. I always end up coming home with more than I planned because there are so many good finds. Be sure to talk with the stand owner about any questions you have. They have great recipe recommendations! Everything I got today (pictured) Paloma Cocktail Mix - $15 Kale -$4 Zucchini - $1 each Tomato - $4.99 per lb Peas - $4 Flowers - $15 Summer flower honey Bees wax chapstick - $4.75 Small honey gift jar - $6.75

The market is finally open for the season this May and I can already tell that I'm going to be spending a lot of time out here on Saturday mornings. It's centrally located right in the middle of the Carmel City Center. They have everything you need here from Kombucha, to fresh mushrooms, to Chai Tea, waffles, and fresh farm meats. It's really a great way to spend a Saturday morning and I love bringing people here from out of town. My go to is the masala chai booth followed by bread at Circle City.

Finally made it and oh was it worth it!! All of the vendors we encountered were wonderful! We being me and my Mommy. Everyone was excited about their product, happy to answer questions, and made the overall experience heart warming. You can't get that at your local grocery store, well I haven't experienced it. Where else can you get Peach Cinnamon or Banana Foster jam/jelly, a monster of an eggplant for $1, or Krab Butter!! Yes, you read that right, Krab Butter. Arepas, pupusas, ribs, Crêpes, cookies, pies..oh my. There's gladiolas, mums, homemade spice mixes, wine, nitro cold brew..something for everyone. The live music was also a nice bonus. I've been to a few farmers markets around Indy and this one was my favorite. The location has ample parking, some seating at tables or on the steps, a variety of vendors, and an overall welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend you go before the season is over, last Saturday in September. Note: No pets allowed. I'm a dog lover but love this policy. The crowds can be overwhelming for some animals and the heat can be rough on their paws; lots of concrete paths.

This is a great farmer's market that has everything you could need! From breakfast to dinner, they have it all! Try to get there early, as it can be crowded, but it is great! If you're willing to wait, The Walking Waffle has an awesome waffle!

Nothing beats the farmers market here locally. I love that I can grab any type of breakfast here to start my morning. Follow that up with my shopping for fresh tomatoes or sweet corn. Cookies. Popcorn. Listen to some music. It's always a great event and shopping.

My favorite time of the year!

The market was festive with music playing and over 80 local vendors. Vendor tents are spread out with lots of space. A yoga class was offered near the amphitheater stage. We found a good mix of vendors with about a dozen selling local produce, my primary interest. The veggies looked fresh and I bought corn, dill and the most beautiful and freshest eggplants that I have ever seen. Prices were reasonable. Venders were selling everything from baked goods, local meats, fresh cut flowers and honey. There were some vendors selling craft and artisan items. Most notable to me was a vendor selling beautiful hand crafted leather items. We saw about a dozen food trucks selling breakfast items, coffee, smoothies, donuts and more. I thought the food trucks were on the expensive side but I only checked out a couple. Vendors were friendly and engaging for the most part. I like interacting with the local farm crowd. I'll be back.

We arrived ten minutes before opening to find a line of about 200 people waiting to enter. These people are serious shoppers that come equipped with carts, wagons and armfuls of bags. Seventy or so vendors are organized by produce, crafts, baked goods and prepared foods. Long lines of shoppers form quickly outside popular produce vendors, making it difficult to shop. The regulars know exactly where they want to go. If you see something you want, you need to buy it quickly or it's gone. The produce was locally grown and beautiful in most booths. Prices were high, in general, but shoppers were not deterred. I picked up some beautiful and reasonably priced eggplant. But I draw the line at $6 pints of cherry tomatoes. Several vendors were selling fresh baked goods. Bakeries from around central Indiana were present. I saw breads, muffins, cookies and more. I was intrigued by sourdough bread and bought a loaf. Music plays at a central location. Tables and chairs fill up quickly with coffee drinkers and people sampling the various food selections. We had trouble finding a seat to eat my breakfast pizza. People had dogs on leashes, lots of dogs. Personally, I prefer not to have dogs at the markets because they stick their noses in the food. Don't get me wrong, I'm a dog lover, but I leave mine at home. Parking fills quickly and we found backing out of our space to exit a challenge as cars kept coming. Some people park over in the mall parking and walk, which might be easier. I did not see rest rooms or other amenities. I think it's probably easier to shop after you have been a few times to the market and know exactly what you want. Bring a hand cart.

My daughter is 19 months…read moreold so, we decided to take our first girl's trip here for a weekend in Carmel to coincide with the 5k hosted at this market. It does feel authentic - but it's cramped into this small, adorable city center area which is super cute. Problem, it's a small, cramped space and was difficult to even walk down the rows (like, so cramped you were just stopped elbow to elbow pushing against people not moving) and with my daughter's stroller it was a nightmare. The lines for food were at least 50 people deep for every single vendor so, if you wanted to sample multiple things you'd be waiting hours... They did have authentic German souvenirs and the boot mugs are adorable! Lots of cute places for photo ops. There were some issues - the penny press didn't work and took my $.51 and gave me a mangled, flat penny. I had dollars and pennies but no quarters and literally no one vendor or place here had change. I feel you should not have a penny press without offering people change... it should be located in one of the customer help/service tents. The 5k was fun and well-done - small group of around 2500 runners and starts and ends at the market. It was nice bc I got to see the spaces and walk around and take some pictures without the crowds. If we ever come back, it'll be much earlier in the season and during a week day to avoid the insane crowds we had on the last Saturday before Christmas. I think the 5k should be earlier in the season so it'll be warmer and less crowded.
