I was in search for a new car and found my new (to me) 2016 Audi Q5 Premium Plus trim with only 75k miles on it for what I felt like was a good price. There pricing was straight forward with no dealership fees other than doc fees, which I appreciated. While I was in the shop, I worked with Arein who was very knowledgeable about all cars, but especially Audi/Volkswagen. He had some great tips and insight into them. They allowed me to put a deposit down to hold the car and I came back the next day to close the deal. I made my offer and he went to bat for me to get a deal done. There wasn't enough time to detail the car, so they allowed me to come back a week later to get it detailed. I took my car to get serviced at Audi and they said the car was in great condition. This place is now called AUTOGIANT USA IF I COULD LEAVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD This dealership is hands down the worst experience I've ever had buying a vehicle. Not only are the cars they sell lemons, but the way they treat customers is completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I bought a vehicle from them in October 2024. Within 2 days I got an airbag malfunction warning. That issue was never fixed, and I was brushed off every time I brought it up -- which is unacceptable considering airbags are a major safety issue. A few months later I got a coolant warning, and soon after the car began overheating. When I took it to a mechanic, I was told the vehicle had stop leak poured into the system, so much that they couldn't even properly diagnose the problem until it was flushed out -- costing me over $300. I never put stop leak in my car. The dealership kept my car for over a month, going days at a time without any communication or updates. After finally getting it back, they claimed they cleaned out the stop leak and replaced the thermostat. The overheating stopped temporarily, but again -- the airbag malfunction was still not repaired. Now I'm dealing with an oil leak and the coolant warning again, meaning the problems are continuing. The customer service is just as bad as the cars. When I tried to address issues that were not fixed after multiple visits, TIM HUGHES (a manager) was beyond rude -- he laughed in my face when I told him one of the issues still wasn't repaired and acted like I was stupid for even bringing it up. When I later tried to speak with the GM, MICHAEL SPURGIN was extremely rude, dismissed me, and even hung up on me. Another employee, Erica, also hung up on me. The staff refuses to provide any contact information for the owner/president of the company. This entire dealership is unprofessional, irresponsible, and clearly sells vehicles with serious issues. This is not a good place to buy a car. I live 500 miles away and I found the car I wanted online. I made a deposit and flew into Indianapolis to pick it up. They knew when I was going to get there, yet when I arrived the car was filthy. I took it for a test drive and the check engine light came on. After a few hours in their shop they got that taken care of. On the way to the car wash my right turn signal quit working correctly. I took it back to the dealership and of course it started working. A mile after I left the dealership it quit again. I've waited 2 months and they still haven't sent me a new one. Long haired Tim (sales manager)is a liar. Stay away from here. read more

This dealership was dishonest from the beginning. They sold us an Audi Q5 with oil consumption issues. We called immediately after the purchase with these issues and they kept ignoring us. I have all of the text. Approximately 9000 miles later the engine blew which of course the extended warranty would not even begin to cover. The warranty we purchased for 4000 was willing to give us 6000 only 2000 more than we paid for the so called warranty for an engine. Terrible followup to an item promised to be repaired on the Mercedes that I bought from them. I'm happy with the car that i bought, happy with what they gave me for my trade but terribly disappointed in over a week long run around in repairing a leather tear on the seat of the Mercedes. Just keep getting the run around by everyone I talk to at the Dealership all the way up to the Sales Manager. I have a signed contract that states that they would send someone to my home to repair the seat because they didn't get it done on the day of delivery of the car. I can't even get people to call me back. My attorney says it's a slam dunk and will appear for me to get me a brand NEW SEAT with damages if they don't do the right thing. Purchased a vehicle April 9, 2024. Vehicle broke down April 13, 2024. The picked the vehicle up on April 15th. They had my vehicle for 39 days. At times refusing to take my calls with an update. Picked the vehicle up on May 23, 2024 and it broke down on May 24, 2024. Told me to take it to another auto shop, they are waiting on you. The auto shop had no idea what I was talking about. MAYBE they treat high dollar customers better, but if you're buying a $6500 Jeep, FORGET IT. We went to this dealership because of reputation. They threw that reputation out the window. They had a Jeep that girlfriend liked at a price we could afford. I drove it and it WAS smooth for that old of a vehicle and appearance was good. HOWEVER, they wouldn't let me take it to my mechanic for a check-up but gave me a list of mechanics near them. Even so, significant oil leak problems were found. The salesman promised to fix those even though it was an "As Is" purchase. We made the mistake of trusting him. On the drive home the Check Engine light came on as well. I have called many times and even driven out to the dealership to try and schedule repairs. Always some excuse. "My Service Manager is not here but I promise he'll call you tomorrow." No return calls. No repairs. Finally took to my own mechanic and he said that, not only were there oil leaks, but that an O2 sensor had been replaced and he felt that this was done to mask the fact that the catalytic converter was bad. VERY deceptive business practice there. Don't keep their word and generally stick it to the little guy who can't afford one of their high dollar resales. Avoid them like the plague. read more

This review is for my experience with Carmel Motors, after purchasing a vehicle I had issues with receiving my titling paperwork. Calls were made with me leaving unanswered messages to the business. It came down to me filing a better business claim where I received a message from the business that they filed the paperwork five weeks after I purchased. What I learned is they're similar to other online dealers in they sell the vehicle but real slow on processing paperwork. Initially I was very happy with the purchase of my Audi Q5. The sales person was upfront and let me know that there was a problem with the sun shade and they would order the parts and fix it. Just 15 days later my engine exploded (which seems to happen way more at this dealership than others, check the review). The car was in the shop for 60 days. I had to get a rental for that entire time. The extended warranty only paid for 7 days. I am stuck with a $1500 rental charge. I tried to talk to the Sales Manager I was hung up on, cussed at in the middle of the sales floor, and the Sales Manager Mike had to be physically restrained from hitting me. I am still in shock after this altercation. Update: After posting the review, I received a call from the new Sales Manager, Tanner. He said that he was sorry the way I was treated. I was blown away thinking maybe they are turning things around and maybe they just had a bad sales manager. Tanner said his owner was traveling and would call me personally the next day. I waited 10 days. I then called Tanner back, he said his owner was talking with TruWarranty about getting me money for the rental. I waited another 6 days. I called again and Tanner said "I went to bat for you but It is what it is." and my sunshade is still no fixed. I don't want to waste any more time on these people but learn from my mistake keep your hard earned dollars away from these scam artist and go to a place that actually cares about their customers. Stay away- save yourself a headache and your wallet. On a $15,000 car I had to spend over 5,000 just to be able to drive it. I was told the car was in great shape. After the car was paid for- it was a week before it was delivered. So I could not return it. When the driver took it out of the trailer the first thing I saw was a 3" chunk out of the tire, they said the delivery company must of done it. I looked at the video of the car they sent me, and there it was. Could not even drive it without the engine light and a bell going off. I was told I could drive it back or pay 600 to get it back to the dealership, and then maybe they would do the repairs. No turn signal-LED HD light $1100, rear taillight $400, rear wheel hub bearing, bushings and suspension links. Plus, every time they would change the paperwork to try to add another fee. And the interior was filthy, again they blamed it on the delivery company. Save yourself the frustration and stay Far Away from these guys!!!! read more

On the drive over the driver noticed something wrong. And, instead of ignore it. EalerThey took it back to be diagnosed and anything that was wrong made right. I have only seen that level of service from my own personal mechanic. That to me is a 1st class dealership. And, one I can not recommend enough. Not five but 100 stars in my book. Good morning, Mr. LaPlant. I have good news and moderate news (not really "bad" news ). Good news is we have evidence that should help you prevail in your lawsuit against the dealership that sold you this car. Someone clearly knew this suspension air bag system was leaking. We filled the system with nitrogen again this morning and the tech could hear a hissing sound coming from the rear of the car now that the front struts are holding the nitrogen. He removed the rearmost underbody panel and found the valve we have circled in red on the photo below. This is not supposed to be on the car!! In fact, this is something that would be purchased at Home Depot and was hacked/spliced in place to try and fill the system instead of filling it the correct way. If the person working on the car who did this hack didn't know that the system was supposed to be filled from the right front strut and they were trying to fill it from the back of the car with a Home Depot valve spliced into place then they certainly didn't know the system gets filled with 220 pounds of pure nitrogen! No wonder the front bags failed!! Fortunately, this required line is only an additional $150 parts and labor. As well, the brackets for the front sensors that tell the car if it is level are broken. One of them is only being held on by one tab (there are 4 tabs.) When that last tab breaks the car will have a chassis failure light on. The other one has 1 tab broken but you could ket that go for now if you want to. The bracket is built into the sensor so the whole thing has to be replaced $450 parts and labor. I don't recommend forgoing this sensor but will leave it up to you. (If we have to replace it later it would be $630.). If you want to do both of them now so it goes into your lawsuit we can do that too. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you, Kimberly Beck's European read more

Do not buy from this place! Their cars and junk and their customer service is horrible! I purchased a Range Rover 6 months ago from here and drove 2 1/2 hours to look at it. I ended up getting the vehicle and I've had it for 6 months and I've put less than 3,000 miles on it. First month I had it I had to buy brakes and rotors for it. Then the coolant line busted. Then the engine light came on. Took it to the dealership and they said the turbo was bad and the manifold was leaking and would be $5,500 to fix. I fixed it and I'm still having issues with this vehicle. It drinks the gas and the engine light is STILL ON!!! I told them I wanted to trade it back in for something else because i was tired of putting money into something i haven't even drove and they were going to give me $6,000 less than what I paid for it. I ONLY PUT 2,800 MILES ON IT!!! I called, left messages to both Michael the GM and Michael the financial guy. No call, texts or emails back. Go read all the yelp reviews and the poor reviews this company gives. They sell LEMONS!!! Don't waste your time or money! You'll be sorry if you do! DO NOT BUY - PLEASE READ! SOLD ME A $44K CAR WITH A BLOWN MOTOR. Whatever you do, do not buy any car from Carmel Motors. This dealership is known for buying cars with catastrophic issues, masking the problem, and selling them to the public for market price. PLEASE READ FACEBOOK AND GOOGLE REVIEWS AS WELL TO SEE FOR YOURSELF. I recently purchased a 2014 Camaro ZL1 with 37k miles on it for $44k. Within a few hundred miles after purchasing the car my mechanic found huge amounts of metal shavings in the oil. The oil was never even changed from when Carmel Motors had the car. Now I need a brand new bottom end / motor which is costing me over $17k out of pocket since this is a 6.2l supercharged LSA motor (see attached pictures). This dealership preys on the public. Michael the sales manager did not return my emails, texts, or calls for weeks. When he did, he basically said its your problem now. This dealership should be put out of business and legal action should be sought. Please read other stories like mine on Facebook and Yelp. Should have negative stars. Just because the car looks and sounds fine, does not mean it is. I never had anything like this happen before in my life and its truly a nightmare. read more

Come to find out all brakes and rotors need to be replaced per the Mercedes dealership (3,000 USD). Not to include whatever is wrong with the engine light. Buyer beware. This is my first Yelp review as I was absolutely compelled to write about my poor experience I had with Carmel Motors. I'm a busy, down-to-earth, working professional, that finally had some time to bring the ol' family to look at and test drive an "available" vehicle that was listed with Carmel Motors. Upon entering the place, I asked about the vehicle of interest and the sales person assigned immediately said, "Oh that's a nice vehicle, the owner is currently driving it." Real classy, right??? Hey, it's no surprise employees frequently drive cars on the lot for personal use, I get it. I just didn't think they'd be so brazen to say this to a customer coming in to see that particular one. Anyway, I waited a few minutes and the sales person emerged from the back office to tell me the owner just advised him it had a check engine light on it. I was then asked to reschedule it. Of course, I took time to bring my family (spouse and small child) to see this vehicle and don't have much availability to just come by another time. I said I'd have to get back with him and then politely asked if we could at least view the vehicle, sit inside, etc. He again disappeared back to the office again and came out only to say that the best they could do was give me a "walk around" of it due to the owner having his "stuff" in the vehicle. I was shocked that not only was I told that it was unavailable for a test drive, but now my family couldn't even sit inside of it because the OWNER has his personal items in it. I guess I wasn't important enough to see a vehicle listed for sale due to the owner's own private use of it. I suspect the "check engine light" excuse was just something to turn me away from it, especially since they wouldn't even let me look at it. I'd be highly skeptical of this business and their treatment of customers. After doing some research and finding that Carmel Motors Better Business Bureau reviews have never exceeded 1 star, I understand why. Their manager Mike is the most rude, unprofessional, and dishonest, "Manager" I have ever encountered. We bought a vehicle that began having issues starting, (This is a 2018 VW Atlas with less than 100,000 miles, so please understand that we are not complaining about an old beat up vehicle having issues), 40 minutes of driving off the lot, (They hid this issue from us by always pulling the car around, I always found it strange how long it would take them to pull it around and sometimes I would get strange excuses like, "Oh one of our shop people is driving it around to make sure it's works"), Carmel Motors promised us that they would take care of it even if that meant taking the vehicle back and returning our money to us. After 2 months of the vehicle being in the shop with absolutely no successful repairs and having no idea where to go next, we officially requested our money back as we were told would be the solution. We were told, (by Mike who spoke to my wife with absolute disdain and arrogance as I was unable to be their when they called her), that it wasn't their fault the car was faulty and there was no way he could see us getting our money back. They then told us they would contact the owner and get back to us. That was two weeks ago and they have still continued to dodge our calls and ignore our emails. Mike also lied to my wife about the reason for which the car could not be returned, (Something about the loan not being able to be undone which the bank said was not true. And another lie about how it worked with the VW manufacturer which VW told us directly was not a true statement), the e-mail in which we disproved his reasoning with the information received from the aforementioned establishments was the e-mail that conveniently quit getting replies two weeks ago despite many e-mail follow ups. They are liars and thieves and you should run. Everything starts great in the beginning and then once they have your money the lies start unraveling. Multiple days between contact with us even when we were reaching out over and over. Also understand that the reason for the many positive reviews is that they stand there and watch you leave your review before you have possession of the vehicle. We are in the process of looking into what courses of legal action can be taken. Don't trust a word they tell you and whatever you do, do not give them a dime. read more

The purchasing experience was fine, but everything else has been a disaster. After only 4 days, we lost all ability to accelerate and got stranded with our children on the side of I-65. We learned that we need a new transmission- 4 days! We also learned that the promised "service" didn't happen as the oil was still dirty. They responded to our inquiry but offered no assistance. They are the biggest thieves out there and I would give them a ZERO if allowed. My husband purchased a Jeep Wrangler in Dec 2021 and purchased an extended warranty through ASC. He ended up selling the Jeep in April to purchase another Jeep and contacted them about canceling the warranty and the amount left being refunded. First, we were told that Ariel would contact ASC and that they would issue us a check. On June 30, my husband contacted ASC only to find out that they knew nothing about canceling the warranty. ASC told us that the money would be refunded with 30 days. Yesterday, my husband contact ASC again and was told a cancel notice was actually sent on June 30th to Carmel Motors and they were responsible for the refund. When my husband called Ariel yesterday, he was told that the refund was sent to our bank and they would be issuing the refund. When asked when this occurred, Ariel said he would have to check with the controller and get back with us. When my husband called our bank this morning, they knew nothing about the so-called check and reported it to the fraud department. My husband then called Carmel Motors and ask to speak with the GM. The GM told him that he would speak to the controller immediately because she was leaving tomorrow on vacation and would text him a copy of the check that they would put in the mail. It's now almost 5PM and no text and of course no one answers the phone. read more
