Supply chain problems kept it in the shop for over six weeks. Because of the metal fragments that could be in the engine they could not warranty the work. It was expensive, but the quality of the work made it a fairly pleasant experience. Early this winter the timing chain repeated its path of destruction through my poor engine. I took it back in. I knew I had no warranty, but I knew these technicians would break their back to fix things. I got a call reminding me that their work from last year was not under warranty - but - the new timing chain was. Eight weeks later I've got her back running like a top. The bill? $0.00. Again communication, level of care and attention to detail are first rate. Beyond first rate. They're expensive. Did I get what I paid for? You betcha!

I next took my Edge to a Christian Brothers auto shop in my area with the hopes of finding a trustworthy replacement for the Ford dealership. Strike Two!!! they tried to replace a part that Ford had already done . Bottom line , they tried to rip me off!!! I caught it and confronted their management. They won't get any more business from me. Moving forward to February 2026-My car started to experience front end suspension noises, AGAIN! (Ford fixed it-so I thought). I needed to find another shop that won't rip off the customer. Reputation is key! My search commenced and I found a local shop near me called "The Noble Mechanic" - (Reputation is key) I made an appointment and was assigned to service adviser Andrew. I told him my story and asked to have my car totally diagnosed and checked over again. I needed peace of mind on all previous work that was supposedly done that I was charged for. I stressed that I'm looking for a new shop to bring my family's business to. I received my car health report and was informed that the Ford dealership used NON-OEM third party parts when they repaired my front suspension. These were bad parts that didn't fit correctly and were failing. Adviser Andrew then provided options for me to consider and suggested the correct OEM equivalents over original OEM to save me $$$$. Overall, Their total car check and diagnosis is very detailed with pictures and the communication walkthrough is done with patience and clarity not rudeness and short answers. Although, I would like to see their labor rate charge of ($137.43 hr.) fully disclosed on invoices/bills (Had to ask Andrew for it) may be higher than other shops, but please consider this, you WANT a shop who employs highly trained and experienced mechanics who love cars and will NOT cut corners when repairing it. Reputation is key!!! Reviews count!! Thank you Andrew and your great team of mechanics for their work. The Noble Mechanic has earned our business going forward.

I have been wanting a Lexus for awhile and when I was pre-approved through Capital One, I decided…read moreit was a good time to find my vehicle. Searching through vehicles available at O'Brien Toyota, which was a preferred dealership, I was able to find a Lexus NX 200t. I called ahead because I wanted to make sure that I understood the process once I actually went into the dealership and I spoke to Chris Larson. We set a time for Saturday for me to go in and take a look at the vehicle, test drive it and then also decide if I wanted to proceed with the purchase. Initially I wanted to change the day to Friday but Chris was off and offered to come in on his day off but I told him that wasn't necessary and we did move it to an earlier time on Saturday. When I arrived, the sales guys let Chris know I was there and he had pulled the car out front so once we did the initial stuff, we took the car out for a spin. I did notice a few things like some gunk on part of the dash (that they cleaned off) and there is some kind of residue on the display that they weren't able to get off that I have to address. As with any dealership, they told me they'd send my info to other financers to compete and hopefully give me a better rate. They did get me a slightly better rate through Toyota Financing so I went with that lender. The next step was the financing and for the most part this was ok though I found the process to be more stressful than anything. There were optional coverages that were presented to me and the finance guy, Kyle I think his name is, made it a point to mention that tires were expensive (duh) and that I could cancel if I later decided I didn't want the coverage. Only issue is canceling the coverage doesn't reduce your payment but it gets taken off at the end of the loan. Once the finance stuff was done, I was congratulated for getting into debt and not for my new car which I felt that was a weird thing to say. Also the finance guy needs to keep tissues in his office because he had sneezed a couple of times in his hands then used hand sanitizer to clean them which is wildly unsanitary. Overall, it was an ok experience. One thing that I'm now having to figure out which didn't come up while I was at the dealership is that the Bluetooth in the car doesn't seem to work and there's a chip in the windshield that I didn't see and wasn't pointed out when I was there. It's my own fault, I guess, for not doing a thorough enough inspection. Thanks to Chris for taking good care of me and being so nice and making this big purchase a pleasant experience. I'd have rated higher if some things had been tweaked and if they had taken sone time to clean out the glove conoartmentnof the previous owners documents. Next time I'm in the market for a vehicle, I might consider this dealership again.

His garage seems like an unoccupied barn and I dropped my car off early in the morning before he opened so I was low key nervous I even had the right place. Plus I had him work on my mercedes which made me nervous cuz most of our local mechanics wouldn't even touch it cuz it's too "complex." I was being quoted $200 for an oil change and that's if the mechanic was even willing to do it in the first place. Which I was super suspicious of (just kidding). So, back story. My wife was driving on 465 when she all the sudden heard a loud POP and the car started pulling heavily to the right. She was reasons shocked. So I googled auto repair near me because I definitely wasn't going back to the place in Indy I'd been before... reference my horrible review of Caliber Collision, and I found this guy. He's three minutes away from where I live and works out of a barn in his back yard so I was like, "whatever... if he does bad work I'll just Yelp him to death" and took my car to get it checked out. I was immediately impressed that the barn in in fact a legit mechanic workshop with hydraulic lifts and everything else you expect from a mechanic. So I was already impressed when he opened the door. Then he puts it through his 99 million point inspection and was like, "idk dude... I don't see anything wrong" to which I responded, "just replace the shocks anyway so my wife feels safe in the car". He already discussed pricing with me so I was good with that but then he comes out and says, "cool I'll have it ready for you tomorrow night". I was expecting like a week or something but he said less than 24 hour turn around. I was very impressed with that. Anyway to conclude this, I've gotten my car back and he did great work on it. Drives better than it did before. I am definitely going to be referring people I know to him in short order.
