It was amazing the food amazing our server Nikki was SUPER nice, for starters we got the taco Tuesday chicken and nachos and it was super good but they accidentally gave us the tuna nachos but we got the chicken tacos and got to keep the tuna tacos and they were both amazing next we ordered our food and we got the smash burger and fries. That's what I got and it was amazing next it started to rain, but every table has an umbrella so nobody got wet. It was really good. They're a bunch of curly down lizards around and we even saw an iguana in the bushes. Then after we played on the swingset, we ordered the fried Oreos, which was very good and all of that food that we got with all of the nachos. I initially couldn't decide if I wanted coconut shrimp or conch fritters . I saw a Mariners plate on the menu that had grouper comforters and shrimp but not the coconut shrimp. I asked if I could substitute it and I was told that I could not so I chose a shrimp wrap The shrimp wrap was pretty tasty with avocado and a sauce it was a little messy. I also ordered a Surfside vodka lemonade which was quite good. The next evening I went there and sat at the bar again and I asked a different staff member if I could substitute the shrimp for the coconut shrimp because I really wanted to have all three. He said he didn't think so I told him I asked the night before and they said no and if he could please check even if there was an upcharge of a few dollars. He checked and said it was a go ahead so I was able to get the three items with an upcharge of $3 that I wanted the night before. The plate had grouper that was battered perfect to the crispiness the conch fritters with a sauce and the coconut shrimp with the sauce. It also came with fries and slaw.The conch fritters were good the coconut shrimp were okay. I have had better but it was still good I did not care for the sauce that went with the coconut shrimp. We had a very enjoyable lunch at Lucky Fish. Although the weather has been very hot, when you are at an outdoor restaurant on the beach under an umbrella life is good. We were greeted and brought to a nice table facing the ocean. Most of the tables have that beautiful view. We ordered a shrimp wrap and a grilled mahi sandwhich with sides of fries or coleslaw. Everything was served hot and very fresh. They use a mango chutney on the fish which is delightful. We will return and try other items on the menu but we were very pleased with these options. This was our first stop after dropping off our luggage in Pompano. Paula was our server and she did a great job. My wife wanted coconut shrimp but they were out so we split a Mariner's Platter ($24). Got quickly reminded South Florida is not The South when they didn't have sweet tea but I survived. Our food came quickly and was plenty for two. Fried grouper and shrimp were tasty and I'm not familiar with conch fritters so can't give a fair opinion. My wife said the Cole slaw was okay (she prefers sweeter) and the fries were good and plentiful. We started eating before remembering to take a picture so three shrimp and a piece of grouper are missing (alone with a bite taken out of a fritter). Every time I come here I enjoy it even more. When the weather is nice and you catch a breeze from the ocean, places like this make you thankful you live in South Florida. We came in for a quick bit me and a beer and wound up staying for three hours. Our server, Danni, was truly awesome! She kept the beer cold and flowing! The food was delicious. We ordered the shrimp po-boy, fish sandwich, and the Mediterranean chicken wrap. All three were flavorful and beyond reasonably priced. I also love that they generously salt their fries. Holy Poke! The Tuna Poke Nachos were the favorite of the table! Big pieces of fish, seasoned and creamy, over crunchy wonton "chips". I would order it again in a heartbeat. It not only looked good but was mighty tasty too. The cheesesteak was flavorful but very greasy and the beef was super crumbly. The piece of fish that came on the salad was sizeable which made the salad quite filling. The wait staff were super friendly and attentive. The only thing that didn't sit well with me is when I asked for an extra bowl to be able to share a salad, the wait staff handed me the bowl, his grasp had his thumb in bowl and left a greasy food thumb print inside the bowl. Needless to say, we didn't end up using the bowl and were wary to ask for another one! Overall, we had a pleasant lunch at the picnic tables outside. I've been here several times and the food here is amazing!! I HIGHLY recommend getting the Tuna Poke Nachos. It's so yummy and my significant other and I always get it when we come here. The tacos and the wings (in pineapple jerk flavor) are also good too. If you come here when it's bright out, there's gonna be some days where there's a lot of pigeons/birds and YOU NEED TO WATCH FOR YOUR FOOD I had a crow took one of my wonton chip from the nachos that I barely ate Luckily, our waitress gave us a full refund which I felt super appreciated! Lucky's Fish is exactly what you want from a Florida beachfront spot with nothing but good vibes and even better food. The staff was great, with multiple people checking on our table, and sitting outside in the sun under a shaded area made lunch with the family feel special. My fish sandwich was top notch, and the coleslaw on the side was tasty without being too heavy on the mayo. My mom's salad with pineapple was delicious and not overly sweet, and my wife's chicken sandwich was super juicy and full of flavor. If I'm in pompano beach this is one of my go-to spots. This place is nothing fancy but it's the perfect beach spot. It's got live music, tons of seating, a bar, swings, a shower to wash off the sand from the beach, etc.I will say, the line to get a table is usually pretty long at popular times. The food is good also, as are the drinks and everything is reasonable priced. They have tiki roofs over all the tables with amazing views of the beach. Solidly consistent spot for a late morning meal after the beach. Portions might be a bit bigger than you'd expect, but it's a good hearty meal. I think textures-wise, the food here is particularly good. The food is average..nothing out of this world, but one of the main challenges is the parking, especially if there's an event going on....many times the parking garage (located 2 blocks away) gets full quickly and the options are street parking or some other parking lots..... Stopped by Lucky Fish in early February, when the winter temperature was a bit higher. One has to catch lunch by the beach when they can, whenever there's a break in the cold front coming down from the north. Can't beat the ambiance; the beach, pier, and the relaxed vibe. Came here for an afternoon drink and sat on the patio. It was quite busy but fun and relaxed as a beach bar shouldbe. Had a couple of drinks including the Rum punch which was very good. As with any of the places along the beach it comes with a hefty price tag at about $14 for a 12oz drink. We also ordered the Ahi nachos which were out of this world and quite a generous portion. We asked to adjust an umbrella for the sun; our server spoke with the manager, who looked directly at us, said something, and then simply walked away. The woman followed suit without ever giving us an answer.We understand it was busy due to the Jazz Fest, but being flat-out ignored is not a valid excuse. There are too many dining options in Pompano to waste time and money on a place that treats customers like an inconvenience. Lucky Fish is part of the six acre Fisherman's Village, a beachfront destination in Pompano Beach with the pier, casual and upscale dining, a tiki bar, shops, hotel, and a parking garage adjacent to the City's first Visitors Center. LM Restaurants first opened the upscale Oceanic in 2019. They followed up a year later with the nearby more casual Lucky Fish. There is also a Lucky Fish in Dania Beach. Lucky Fish is the kind of place you can feel comfortable coming up from the beach in your flip flops and bathing suit. it is entirely outside under tiki bars and umbrellas. You can sit with your toes in the sand and enjoy a prime ocean view. There is also a cute swing set up great for pictures. My daughter was in town so we decided to play tourist for the night and headed down to Fisherman's Village. After walking the pier we ended up Lucky Fish. I was not prepared for how dark it is at night. It understand it is kept purposely dark in order to not confuse the sea turtles. Unfortunately for us every table had a little color changing light on it except for ours. They didn't have one for us and another table took pity on us and gave us theirs. We ended up ordering the Miami Vice with rum, swirl of pina colada, and strawberry daquiri and a Pompano Punch made with vodka, passionfruit, pineapple, mango, strawberry, and coconut. The drinks were fruity but for a $13 cocktail, very weak on the alcohol. They offer virgin cocktails and I honestly feel that is what we were given. We also ordered the Coconut Shrimp and Conch Fritters which were average. I would recommend coming during the day when you can enjoy the view which is the best part of Lucky Fish. This is a great place to take a visitor to enjoy a Florida vibe. The proximity to the pier is also a plus. At night it was way too dark and as a local there are much better places to get a drink and food. read more

On Saturday I visited Lucky Fish for the second time. This time for both food and drinks. My previous visit was just for drinks. I ordered the Rum Runner again, and it did not disappoint. Definitely the winner in my opinion! My husband had a margarita, which was good, but the Rum Runner was better. He even ordered the rum summer as his second drink. For food, I got the double smash burger that came with fries, while my husband had chicken tenders with fries. Both dishes were well seasoned and the fries were fresh. My only complaint was the top bun of the burger, it was a bit hard. I felt that a softer flatbread would have been better for a smash burger. I ended up removing the top bun, which actually worked out as a low-carb option for me! That's definitely plus IYKYK. Lol! There was a bit of a wait, about 10 minutes, to be seated, likely because it was a busy Saturday. Surprisingly, there was also live music on stage. I thought live music was only during happy hour. It was a nice touch and really added to the key west vibe, making the experience even better. We also enjoyed a jet show happening at the same time, adding to the overall ambiance. Located right on the beach, Lucky Fish is a must for any tourist in the area. The benefits of beach dining pretty much overrules any quality. It's great. I had to have a seat at the bar since it was pretty packed.. but no line to enter despite other reviews. The energy was great and the salad came out quick. It was loaded woth chicken. However, the chicken tasted pre frozen? It has a really weird rubbery freezer taste that I couldn't shake. The salad was decent, but I really wished they would've included dressing on the side. I don't know too many places that put dressing on the salad... So I was kind of appalled when the lettuce was swimming in dressing. I made sure to eat the chicken on top without mixing and cherry picked the least drenched bites of lettuce. I feel like you either get view and subpar quality, or no view and great quality.
