I haven't been here in a while, but it is a great place. They always have lines to get in, especially on the weekend, and they have a very nice owner!

We took my daughter here for her birthday brunch. The Hen & the Hog has been on our radar for a while. So glad that we came. There is great outdoor seating. Service was ok. They were busy and our server was training so ordering and wrapping up took a little bit longer than usual but we weren't too concerned. I have always been a Fruity Pebbles fan so getting the Fruity Pebbles French toast was a no brainer for me. This was probably my favorite French toast ever. It was delicious. Crusted top and bottom with the cereal and lots of strawberry syrup and fresh berries. I will definitely get this again. My mom loved her pancake and my daughter said that the biscuits and gravy were great. I will definitely come back here again. Totally worth the drive

First time here, wish it was on the west coast. Perfect ambience, a delightful server, a very different menu, when in Rome....i had the Pig & the Waffle (their homemade pulled pork, a waffle & 2 eggs) DELISH, hub had the Ranchera omelette & grits & biscuit & gravy, he loved his also. The food here is great, next time on the east coast will be sure to stop again!

The Hen and the Hog is a fantastic breakfast/brunch spot with a bunch of options and plenty of seating. Service was friendly and quick despite it being packed when we arrived. I got over easy eggs, chicken sausage, and homestyle potatoes. It was all delicious; everything was flavorful and the sausage and potatoes were seasoned nicely. Overall, a great spot to check out.

Brought visiting family to The Hen and Hog for breakfast yesterday. It was a really cool experience. The restaurant is easy to find and has a parking lot. The parking last was pretty full but I found a spot easily. When we arrived, there were a few other people waiting to be seated. After giving our name to the hostess (who was busy but kind), we were seated within about 10 minutes. Our waitress Annie was nice and attentive as she could be. The restaurant was super packed. It is decorated in old county style with pig and hen details all around the place. It was very difficult to decide to what to have. The menu has every breakfast option you can think of! I finally ended up getting the Full Breakfast Waffle. Someone else at the table had the Power Omelet. My food came out warm. I'm one of those people who prefers my meal arrive to the table hot. The waffle was delicious, chicken sausages and bacon were tasty, and the eggs were perfectly cooked over medium. My companion told me she enjoyed her Power omlete and home fries. Everything was fantastic except my food temperature. I didn't send it back because the place was packed. I'll be back for sure and I recommend you give it a try as well!

The perfect place to have Christmas breakfast. The staff was great. I ate until I could no more lol. I had the almond French toast which I lovvvved. The eggs and corned beef hash was good. I was happy and really full at this time. The service was very friendly today. They had the spirit and ready for the crowd. The staff was great. They were one point checking on things and moving. The restaurant's holiday feeling was nice. The parking situation was a little bit tight. The parking lot is not so big and you can't find nearby options maybe across the street. The business next door made it clear no parking with the take across. I suggest to do a drive by and check parking and carpool during busy times.

We walked in on a Saturday early afternoon during brunch time. It was super packed so highly recommend getting here closer to 2pm. Thankfully they were able to seat fairly quickly. They serve breakfast all day so my fiancé chose the shrimp and grits. He was expecting more of the Cajun flavor and the grits were watery. The shrimp was large. I ordered the turkey avocado chipotle sandwich. There was half of a quarter piece of avocado in there maybe the other pieces fell off. It had good taste But not what I imagined. It gave diner feel in there. The service was a little slower than expected as we walked in for brunch.

Came here Friday morning for breakfast with a friend. The restaurant had a good amount of people dining in, but there were plenty of tables open. Even with that, we were told there was a 10-15 minute wait. Once we were sat, the server came over right away and got our drink order. I ordered an orange juice, not knowing about the near $8 price tag. Definitely be sure to look at the drink prices before ordering, as they are on the high end. The food was decently priced for the portions, and it was good. The one thing I thought could have used some improvement was the home fries. They looked like they were well seasoned, but they tasted a bit bland for me. I also wish they had been a bit more cooked, and not as soft. The inside of the restaurant had a cozy vibe, very farmhouse-esque. There were plenty of decor to represent the name of the restaurant. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but I'd tag along if someone else invited me.

Our first experience at The Hen and the Hog was on a Saturday morning, and there was no parking spots remaining in the small lot. We had to head back north and park at the McDonald's. Our server mentioned later that the bank across the street allows their overflow parking. As expected there was a wait for a table, but I noticed a couple of empty seats at the counter, so we grabbed them. The ambiance is that of a down-home Southern restaurant. The service was friendly and the staff all seemed to help each other out, which is refreshing. The coffee was pretty good and my Irish Benedict was also good. Hubby enjoyed his steak Benedict as well. We shared the Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast, which was also good, but not mind-blowing. I would definitely return to try other things on the menu if we're ever in the area.

A hidden gem. Clean and farm decor. Barbie was a wonderful server. She was attentive and had a great personality. Everything we ordered was very good - Nutella pancakes and cored beef hash with eggs. Will definitely be back.

I was here a couple of years ago for my sisters bday, they had just opened so weren't that popular yet. Today I brought my boyfriend here for brunch but the line was out to door, almost wrapping around the building. There was so parking and the cars were all trying to back out, but the parking setup was so bad. I'm super disappointed because I was craving their delicious food and I had spoken so highly about it and got my boyfriend super excited to try the food. He's southern so he was looking forward to seeing the decor and the setup in there, I had told him they had like wooden tables and a really nice vibe. We're driving to the other location by Atlantic and seeing if it's that busy. I really hope it's not that crazy because I'm looking forward to eating a really nice meal! I'll update my review soon!

Staying in Pompano for a short time and was looking for a breakfast spot. Found the perfect place in the Hen and the Hog. My wife had a veggie omelet and I had blueberry pancakes. Both were very good. The pancakes were not as flavorful as I would like, but still pretty good. My wife's omelet was cooked perfectly and she said it tasted amazing. The decor fit the name and the service was good with 3 wait staff making sure everyone was taken care of. Coffee was inconsistent in flavor from one pot to the next, but it also was good. I would recommend stopping in if you are looking for a good breakfast spot with a variety of options.

I will never again ever waste 50 here again, let alone another dollar. The cook was cross contaminating everything and had no gloves on. Touching seafood, bacon, pancakes, Utensils, and handles all at the same time. Never washes his hands and just wipes it on his apron. Then he looks oblivious when you watch him cross contaminate your food. $7 for "freshly squeezed" orange juice which is definitely not freshly squeezed. The waiter was sweet so i can't really say service is a problem but my experience was absolutely horrible. biscuit was powdery and nasty. ambiance was what i expected judging from the outside, so that wasn't too bad. I will not be coming back here or to any other location ever again.

On a trip to Miami a few days ago my girlfriend and I decided to try them for lunch. McMillon's both on The outside and inside has an old look to it that reminded me of some of the bbq places I've been to in Memphis and Kansas City. Very basic interior without much decor. We ordered a rib dinner with Mac and cheese and baked beans and an extra side of potato salad. I decided to get a cheeseburger too. The ribs were pretty good. Tender but not fall off the bone (which is over cooked in my book). They do come sauces so be aware. But I must say I Loved their bbq sauce. It was so good that I would have happily bought a jar of it on site but they don't sell it that way sadly. A vinegar/mustard based sauce I would say, similar to what places in South Carolina would make. The Mac and cheese was decent, could use a little more creaminess and cheese. I really liked the baked beans which were heavy in cinnamon and reminded me of the kind of baked beans that many bbq places in the Tampa-area used to serve when I was living there years ago (people called them "cinnabeans"). The burger is huge. They use sliced bread as opposed to traditional bun. I thought the service was pleasant. Maybe slightly disorganized. Would definitely come back and buy their sauce in a to go carton.

Interior seating seemed limited, but while we were there, there were consistent togo orders so the limited seating did not keep people away. Our server was welcoming, patient, and friendly. She was there a second before we needed her, she cleared our table before the next dishes arrived, and we didn't feel rushed but well cared for. We ordered the hamachi jalapeño, crab Rangoons, donkatsu ramen with pork belly, tuna, chutoro, and Otoro nigiri's. We also got matcha's for Togo. Two things that stood out to me, one, the prices were super cheap, and two the nigiri's tasted surprisingly good for their prices. Overall I was thinking that this must be a hidden gem in Pompano Beach area that not too many people know about despite the restaurant having been there for years. I wasn't too hungry today but my fiancee and I were already talking about coming back here to try some of their rolls next time. Yes I recommend this place to others!
