Burger with a hot sauce from the shelf
    Joey J.

Stopped in yesterday on the way home for a quick bite. Was a little early for lunch but they had a burger on the menu for breakfast and ordered that. It was delicious. They also have a wall full of hot sauce to choose from. Prices were great, and was even able to catch up with the owner who is a Patriots fan. He was nice enough to give me a DiamondKnot Rootbeer to go as I had tried to order one earlier but the Rootbeer was in the process of being refilled. Will definitely come back to try more things!

Caveat to this review: My husbands beer glass had the previous drinkers lipstick still on it, so not washed well, and his dessert had a hair in it. This place is part bakery, part nice restaurant, and part bar with bar eats. The environment is nice, though the seats are taped so they are worn. But we were seated quickly everyone was cheery and kind. The food. I had a French dip, onions, peppers, and mushrooms, fries, tomato bisque soup, and the berry crumble for dessert. The win here are the baked goods, the bread for my sandwich was delicious, and super soft, the berry crumble was full of juicy berries, homemade, and not too sweet. The meat on the sandwich was good and there was a lot of it, the mushrooms and peppers were good too, but rather sparse for an additional 2 dollars for each of those additions. The French fries were shoestring, crispy, needed salt but I could do that so all good there. No ketchup at the table, and when you ask you receive a tiny bit, so if you like ketchup ask for more up front. The soup was delicious, tangy, great texture, the pesto on top was delicious. All in all satisfying dinner, just a few things that would have made it better, plus the hair and the cleaning issues.

Burger patty was huge, veg fresh and the fried onions delicious. Really liked the bisque, it has the sharp acidic bite of fresh made. Onion rings were well fried and crispy. Chocolate pie was rich and thick. It was really good food. Great little restaurant and bar, with prompt and efficient service. Two things, there was lipstick on my glass, and what looked like a hair baked into the pie. My wife's food had neither. Since this is my first time, it could have just been a bad day for me to eat out.

Such a cute cafe with delicious food! We came here for a Saturday morning breakfast. The restaurant section was full and we were seated in the lounge. Service was prompt and friendly. We loved our breakfast - two egg breakfasts and the 2-2-2. We even got to watch CFP football on the TVs in the lounge!

Best Rueben I've ever had, and I lived in NYC for 30 years. Don't leave without a dessert. Definitely a destination.

We started with the dynamite shrimp and the beef skewers. The beef was so good, fresh and cooked to perfection. The RS Smash Burger is another one of my favorites. We sat in the lounge as it was on the tail-end of happy hour. Their $10 cocktails were a great way to start our evening. We started with their homemade Parker House rolls, which were insane. These were probably the best rolls I've ever had. The truffle butter was the icing on this bready cake. I'd come back just for these. We also had the truffle fries which were good as well. After some recommendations from our server, we decided on the associates board and the glazed carrot (we definitely felt like we needed a veggie dish). The associates board came with three cuts of steak, which included the filet, a wagyu tri-tip and a wagyu denver. The filet was the standout here, as well as the beef tallow butter it was served with. The other cuts were good, but didn't wow us. We ordered the steak medium rare, but it was more on the rare side. The steak was so tender that it really didn't matter at the end of the day. Overall, we had a great experience here. I think for the price, I was maybe expecting a little more, but I would definitely recommend checking out Rare Society for your next celebratory dinner.

Sadly they were out of their corn chowder by 6:30. My friend happily scarfed down her entire porkchop, which she was impressed to have done as they're quite large chops! I was not 100 percent sold on their interpretation of bread pudding but that was more a personal style preference than a bad item. Our server was great - friendly and checked in on us but not so much as to interrupt conversation. It's a fairly large restaurant and was bustling on a Saturday night. I will say if you have an important conversation to have, probably not the right place as it's quite noisy, especially if you're near the kitchen. Or ask to move to the patio, if the weather is good! If you want a busy place with a community feeling, this is perfect.

The house made ketchup they are so proud of is very sweet. So if you really don't like sweet with your fries be warned. So decided to try them for dinner. I had the zucchini lasagna. Yikes. Lets call it dry cheese lasagna with a sliver or 2 of zucchini. Was really expecting a more veggie type dish. Not what I got. Also the arugula and pickled red onion salad was super bland. My hubby tried the halibut dish at 42$. He had an overcooked piece of fish and a side of basic potatoes and broccoli. So sorry to say that this place....as cute as it is and a nice as they are is off our list.
