The place was not as busy as I had expected for a Saturday evening, but a good hum of noise in the place. My son was treating me so I wanted to go big, but opted for the Burger! With him getting the fish and chips. I did partake in a well crafted Manhattan, thank you very much. Burger was prepared very well, cooked perfectly. Dressed nicely too. A french lady highly recommended. the iron duck as the best restaurant in town, so we were eager to check it out. This is a very approachable family restaurant and very popular with locals. It does try to take its name seriously and serves a wide variety of duck dishes. but there are many other things on the menu. We ordered a duck pizza which was unique pizza and salad combination with some sort of teryiaki barbecue sauce topping, but if you don't think of it as pizza it was a very interesting duck canape. The Margarita pizza was a little bit substandard dragged the overall score down... but the service was good at the beer selection. excellent the vibe. nice historic building. definitely an above average choice. read more

This was a great place to grab a bite on our way back from Twin Falls hike. Chose based on rave reviews about the black bean burger. While it did not live up to the hype, patty was actually amazing. Also got the Mediterranean pizza which was a disappointment. Substituting fried for sweet potato tots however was a good decision as they turned out to be delicious. read more

Can I say I just love this place? All the charm of North Bend, but the level of cuisine you would expect from a much higher end establishment, wrapped up with a personal service and family owned feel that is rare these days. We have been coming here practically since they opened, and have almost never had a bad meal. The burgers - delish! The pizza - on point. A local staple and the perfect mix of casual and fine dining. We can come here on any given weeknight or for a special occasion and it feels appropriate. The service is always impeccable and friendly. Favorite apps are artichoke or deviled eggs, hubby likes the steak tartare. House salad is always fresh and simple. Pizzas are all great but the pork & peppers is my fave! Favorite dinner item is the flat iron steak with chimichurri salsa and polenta. We had a few drinks and lunch. Drinks were a sidekick with Johnny Utah and Rowans Creek, which I liked very much, even though I like Mannys best. Hubs had a Cooler and a Wanderlust Punch. Both delicious says he. For lunch, I had the Black Duck pizza because it had arugula on it. So good, though the okonomi sauce stood out the most. Good thing it was delicious. I would have liked it more balanced maybe, but that didn't keep me from eating it. Hubs had a Rueben with sweet potato tots. Report on the Ruben was 5 stars, which he pretty much never gives. The tots were sweet potato, so the texture was sweet potato. Never expect you are getting a russet when sweets are on the menu. No one's fault but our own. We would come back. Why not 5 stars? This was a quick stop after a long hike. It's nicely located in the small town of north bend next to mount Si. The BLT had huge thick slices of bacon. Kids' pepperoni pizza was big and tasty. The clam chowder, however, was disappointing. I don't recommend ordering it. Server was sweet and attentive. The restaurant is big with lots of tables and open areas. They have seating at the bar and seating for couples and groups in the front room and back room. The back room has a fireplace. They offer dine-in and take-out. The portion size is average. I waffled between the steak sandwich and the pork sandwich and chose the latter. The shredded pork was crispy and tender at the same time, lightly flavored with a chipotle sauce, but not overwhelming. It almost reminded me of Kalua pork if you know what that is.
