When we asked about cider, our server checked and let us know they had a cherry pomegranate cider on tap. For beer, the options were simply described as an IPA and a lager, so we went with the lager. It was good, though we never found out which brewery it was from. We also ordered a mule, which was well made. For happy hour, we shared the half charcuterie board ($12), and it was beautifully presented with a great variety. We were impressed enough to stay for dinner afterward. We ordered the burger and the Greek salad with chicken after learning they were out of prawns. Our server also thoughtfully mentioned they were out of Kalamata olives in case that changed my order, which I appreciated. Both entrees were delicious. Hate to do a 3 star on this place...but....Had lunch here once. All was good. Hubby had fish and chips. Ok. I had the burger. It was good. Although a heads up. The house made ketchup they are so proud of is very sweet. So if you really don't like sweet with your fries be warned. So decided to try them for dinner. I had the zucchini lasagna. Yikes. Lets call it dry cheese lasagna with a sliver or 2 of zucchini. Was really expecting a more veggie type dish. Not what I got. Also the arugula and pickled red onion salad was super bland. I now understand what people day about the homemade BBQ and ketchup at The Well and Table. Specially the BBQ sauce which was delicious! Big kudos to one of the best skinny Margaritas I had a restaurant, it was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, not too tart. Service was very attentive, I feel like our waitress checked on us enough but not too much as to disturb our conversation. The polenta bites were yummy, and I really liked the wilted spinach salad. I added chicken to my salad and that was a bit bland but overall, it worked well in the salad. My date had the burger and liked it. Farm to table dishes with a creative (and delicious) twist! Daughter had the PBLT (pork belly bacon lettuce tomato) sandwich with a tomato-apricot chutney and fries. I couldn't decide and got the crispy Cauliflower with shallot bacon arugala and a near-drinkable dressing. I also ordered the crispy polenta with goat cheese shallot and arugala over pesto. LOVE this restaurant! We stopped in after shopping to have lunch and it ended up being our favorite meal of our entire summer vacation in Washington. We were visiting the area and found this restaurant serving a good range of gluten-free options on the menu, including Gluten Free Stout from a local brewery Ghostfish! The GF fish and chips were better than average - crispy coating and moist rock fish. The Heirloom Tomatoes BLT with toasted sourdough was delicious. Instead of lettuce, it has mixed greens which added a layer of flavor along with the juicy tomatoes and the crunchy bacon. We ended our lunch with the Gluten-Free plum cobbler. A group of us came here for an early dinner one Monday evening and it was the highlight of my week! For some reason, I was always under the impression that this was a small restaurant, but upon entering and after walking past the bar, it opens up and becomes more spacious in the back. Our party of 12 was seated at a large rectangular table and were well taken care of the entire time. Our waiter was quick to gather our drink orders and served them while we reviewed the menu. Note that their menu is subject to change on a whim. It's digital only (via QR code), making it easy for them to publish quick modifications. In the afternoon on the day of, I saw a duck leg listed as an entrée, but by the time it came to order, it had been removed and replaced by their Shepherd's Pie. After ordering, their timing was impeccable, with a few of our table mates receiving their soup and appetizers first followed by all of our main dishes arriving at the same time. The complimentary bread was served right out of the oven, being pillowy inside with a slightly chewy exterior. I'm normally not huge on bread, but it was great, especially with a dab of the whipped butter. I tried one piece of the PORK BELLY appetizer ($22) and could have eaten the whole thing myself. Although small pieces, the pork was perfectly fried and salted, with a note of sweetness from the honey mustard. It came with roasted potatoes and greens, so this could actually be a meal for someone looking for a lighter option. For my entrée, I selected the PORK SHOULDER ($32), which was braised with an apricot sauce, paired with caramelized onions & kale, and served atop mashed potatoes. Despite having more fat than I would personally like, the meat was extremely tender and succulent, making it one of the top pork dishes I can remember. I would just say that the portion of pork was small considering the price. The apricot sauce was well-balanced, the potatoes were super smooth and the caramelized onions tied everything together. Our table split three desserts ($10 each), so everyone could have a bite or two of each. All were served a la mode with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The CHOCOLATE BUNDT CAKE was moist, rich and not too dense. I couldn't even tell that it was gluten-free. I had one taste of the PEAR, CRANBERRY & FRESH GINGER COBBLER; it had a nice tartness, warm spices and a small zip from the ginger. My favorite was the BREAD PUDDING which tasted like it had a hint of amaretto extract... so good! We had excellent service the entire time. A single waiter handled our group with genuine care and attentiveness. He patiently answered our questions about the menu, was understanding of dietary restrictions and preferences, and so kind overall. I wish I had his name so I could give him a shout-out. Thought this was going to be a treat, as all the menu items seemed to have some twist to them and the vibe in the restaurant is kinda 'cultured and bespoke but welcoming' if that makes sense... Unfortunately everything turned out poorly, from the food to the service, and none out of the four of us will go back. Three times our waiter said he'd bring us something (water, mustard, napkins) and failed each time where we had to flag down someone else after 10m. He put in the wrong salad for my wife and never put in our bread order. Once we got the right food, it just...wasn't good. The carrot salad flavor was nice but about a quarter of the carrots were extremely fibrous beyond old celery. We got it with shrimp for something like $9 extra and they were the most tiny pitiful shrimp you've seen. It was laughable to the point every time our family sees a little shrimp somewhere we now say 'how much did that cost, $9? The bread looked fancy but the butter was wholly unflavorful (an unsalted unflavored oil). As for the fish and chips, it was more like baked old fish -- heavy fishy taste and minimal breading with a weak fry. Even the burger was overdone and nothing redeeming for the price. Stopped in for a late lunch on our way to Remlinger Farms. Cute restaurant in a great little shopping plaza. We started with the cauliflower appetizer- we thought it would be fried cauliflower, but it was more roasted- still delicious. We also shared the spinach salad, the vinaigrette with bacon was fantastic. My entree was the PBLT- I was not a huge fan, it was a lot of lettuce, and I mean an insane amount! This was my first time dining here, and it was absolutely delicious! It's so rare these days to find a restaurant that delivers genuinely good, unpretentious food and great service. I started with their coffee martini--made with coffee, not espresso. Our lovely server suggested ordering it less sweet, and I'm glad I took his advice. It was very good, though still a touch sweet for my taste. We then switched to a bottle of Malbec and the baked brie. My friend has celiac disease, and they thoughtfully provided both gluten-free crackers and regular crostini. The only thing that would have made it better was a little more of the quince compote--so good! I ordered the sausage linguini and my friend had the squash risotto. Both dishes came out quickly and piping hot. It's amazing how much it matters when food is made with care and intention. Somewhere along the way, many places forgot that hot food should be served hot--and on a warm plate! Had a really good lunch with a friend! We ended up going all out in appetizers and skipped the main course as their appetizers menu was fantastic . We got the beetroot and apple salad, pickle dip, crispy polenta, and the burrata. Everything was amazing but the polenta was the star. My friend loved the pickle dip. Portions were big and could be very easily shared by 3 people. We were stuffed. For drinks, we got the Jalapeno and Orange shrub. A++. Service was slow-- we waited for almost 30 minutes for our appetizers. They wanted to bring them all together. We finally ran out of patience, called the waiter and requested him to bring whatever was ready. I think they are short staffed but once we asked them about the delay, they were apologetic. My second visit to Well and Table: this one was significantly improved. Had a reservation and were promptly seated in a nice corner overlooking the garden area. Looking around, the paint was fresh, bright, and very well done (I just had my own painting projects and can appreciate the great job done here). Attractive sculpture hanging in the main area. We ordered a Beet and Apple salad and told the waiter we would split it between the two of us: he arrived with sizable portions already plated to each of us (yes!) and it was a very fresh salad with + proper quantities of the featured ingredients. This time I chose the Artichoke Lasagna: a wonderfully cheesy dish, almost so much that the pasta (almost a filo dough?) was nearly culinarily invisible. A hearty amount of artichoke as well. Wife had the Halibut: a substantial portion attractively arranged with carrot puree and an unexpected substitution of bok choy instead of the menu-listed asparagus: a winner. The beer list is based on local breweries, and I had expected a few more selections but was very happy with the lesser known can I selected. A lot of the items had a really sour taste for some reason, but that might just be what we ordered (basil mac and cheese, zucchini lasagna, jerk chicken sandwich, bread and butter). As another review stated, their butter lacked much flavor, though paired with the garlic confit it was pretty tasty. It's always nice to find a homy farm kind of restaurant in the greater Seattle area. All in all the restaurant in itself is nice. Everything is clean and bright! The employees are decently friendly and helpful. As far as food goes, the menu is a bit small. Which can be understandable as it seems to be more of a farm to table type restaurant. I came with a group of people and we ordered two burgers ($19 each. Pretty standard price) two kids Mac and cheeses ($10 dollars each. We will get to that later) and a beet salad ($19) The burger is pretty phenomenal! It has such great flavors, lots of leafy lettuce, tomato and a nice sauce. The buns tasted home made and everything was super fresh. The fries served with it are so really good! Literally perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside! They were served with what figured out to be apple sauce. Which I could pretty strange but who am I to judge what you like to dip your fry's in. The beet salad was actually quite good as well! It had some yummy toasted nuts and tangy arugula! And the goat cheese really tied everything together! However... I paid $19 for this salad (which in my opinion is pretty expensive for a salad) and I was expecting it to be a decently sized portion. But when the waitress set the plate down in front of me I audibly snorted with how small the portion was. I mean you would have assumed I ordered a side salad with how small this portion was. Needless to say I wasn't very happy about that. And as far as the Mac and Cheese goes, it's a pretty standard size for a kids serving. But the meal only comes with the Mac and cheese, no side of fruit or veggies. And for $10 I thought that was a bit crazy. Going beyond the price the actual Mac and cheese in itself was so bland that even the child who ordered it didn't even want to finish it. I mean even pepper didn't do much for it. Understand that children's Mac and cheese is not something that TOO much flavor needs to be put into, but this was just kind of embarrassing with how bad it was. A Solid 4. My fries were near perfection today. And the dipping sauce they give you for the fries was bomb too. It was some sort of a jam but I cannot remember exactly what was in it. If I had to guess, it was fig. The burger was also definitely above average and perfectly cooked. One thing to note is that the menu says the fries and all their other fried offerings are cooked with peanut oil. If you're allergic to nuts, this may not be a good venue for you. The decor was very chic and the service was okay. The place was packed for Wednesday lunch but I did not need a reservation. I did show up right when they opened though. Such a cool spot! The atmosphere is fresh and clean and they have a really nice patio!! We had never been here and were looking for a good spot with a variety for lunch in Issaquah. We checked out the menu here and it all looked delicious! There were 4 of us so we all got something different so we could have a sampling. We were not disappointed!! Along with the amazing food was the great service! If you are looking for fresh and innovative menu options, you must try The Well and Table. We started out with the Polenta Bites as an appetizer, then had the Burger and fries, The Breakfast Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, a dish with crispy Pork belly, we finished it off with Bread Pudding Ala mode with Carmel Sauce and a Brownfield Farms Honeycrisp Apples Cobbler A La Mode. We went at lunchtime on a Tuesday. My husband and I both ordered a salad. We both enjoyed ours, but my Beet and Apple salad was pretty small. At pretty much any other restaurant, it would have been twice the size. The Butternut Squash and Lentil salad was good but the squash still had sizeable pieces of squash skin that are inedible on it really taking away from enjoying it. The chicken tortilla soup is gluten-free and has a chicken broth base which is nice for people that have issues with heartburn etc. since it's not a tomato base. It is a permanent item on the menu and was so salty that I am sure that there must've been some mistake with it that day. Otherwise, they would constantly be getting complaints about it and would have to fix it. So I think it was a one-off issue.
