Extremely convenient pizza shop in broadway perfect for a post show snack/meal. They were so quick and efficient and you could tell they're experienced with the post show crowd. I do feel that the pizza could've had more seasoning or flavor but not a bad price for the location. read more

NY is famous for its pizza, and Carnegie Pizza lived up to the hype. When you walk into Carnegie Pizza, you order your slice(s), pay, and they heat up your pizza in the large pizza ovens. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You also get to eat standing up in the small space. They did have a few tables, but that's it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I chose to stand up and get the full experience. I got a slice of the pepperoni & mushroom. One friend got a four cheese and an upside-down, while another tried sausage & mushroom and eggplant. We all LOVED our pizzas! The line for Joe's Pizza in Times Square was obnoxious so we gave Carnegie Pizza a try. There was hardly any line and the selection of pizza by the slice was excellent. We tried a pepperoni slice, a sausage slice, and some kind of thick, square, pepperoni slice. They were all very nice, especially the square one. We also tried some garlic knots which had a ton of garlic flavor. They were decent but not essential. My first time in NYC was this past weekend, we stayed at Margaritaville Resort @ Times Square and conveniently around the corner was the most delicious pizza spot! We are proud to say we came back again again...and again...even the staff noticed ;) We had the plain cheese (the true test), Hawaiian, spicy pep (jalapeño), sausage pep, and last but absolutely not least the mouthwatering garlic knots. There's no way to have guessed that the pizza place closest to our hotel would be such a hit. I absolutely loved Carnegie Pizza in NYC. The menu was a full display of different pizzas, which made it fun to choose. There were four of us and we all ordered different slices every one was delicious and perfectly cooked. They also have a great selection of drinks, including sodas as well as beer and wine, which was a nice bonus. The customer service was friendly and knowledgeable, and they were happy to explain the options. I didn't get a chance to eat as many slices as I'd hoped on my trip to New York, but Carnegie was the final slice and the best I tasted. You know the drill - order your slice and they'll chuck it in the oven. When it comes out, it will melt the roof of your mouth with the molten cheese, but you won't care because it's New York and it's a great slice and you're about to see something weird go down in Times Square. This Pizza place was right next to the Hampton INN where we stayed near Times Square. Great Pizza, lots of varieties. Super Affordable and hit the spot. Ehh... no. The slice I.grabbed from here had the most flavorless sauce and a mediocre-tasting crust. The only promising thing was the amount of cheese. I would like to think that I simply had an off experience based on some of the reviews... but surely the sauce doesn't change? It tasted like bland tomato paste with zero flavor. The under part of the pizza was a little soggier than I'd prefer. This was not a good slice for me. Between this place or Joe's... go with Carnegie! Both a short walk from Times Square. Me and my boyfriend walked passed this place multiple times before we finally decided to try it... especially after the shameful experience at Joe's, why not right? They weren't as busy as Joe's. That's a plus for us (no line), not so much for them. They should be busier! Once we walked in we were greeted with smiles and got our order taken right away. When we got our pizza slices, they were nice and hot! Just how it should be! It's a small little pizza parlor, limited seating, clean. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is simply because they aren't the best I've ever had but they definitely deserve to be acknowledged a lot more than Joe's. Keep it up! read more
