Every time we visit NY, we have to try NY pizza, we're wandering around NY, we got hungry and stumbled into this Napoli pizza place on a busy street. We ordered some slices with different toppings to try and sit at the bar looking at people walking, quite NY like LOL. We like the thin NY crust, the dough, the cheese, the pepperoni, mushroom together so tasty delicious. The prices are quite reasonable for what we get, can't compare prices with Costco Pizza of course. I think this is a chain pizza restaurants, but the formula seems to be excellent. Since we're here in NY, we're going to try others to see how they compare with each other. read more

We popped in for a late afternoon pepperoni and sausage slice while walking around the city. Pizza was hot, store is clean enough. Great cheese, great crust! The most annoying thing is the music that is playing is very loud and nothing that I could understand. The counter guy was nice. I'd stop by again. read more

Was in Bryant park and took the short block walk to grab a snack around 3 pm. The restaurant has a small eat in area but the surfaces were still dirty from the lunch rush. Service was friendly and efficient. Ordered a slice of pepperoni which they tossed in the oven and came out piping hot a minute or two later. $3.50 for a slice with a topping which is a good price for Manhattan, but this wasn't a very big slice. Problem with this is that the pizza itself wasn't particularly good. Light on the sauce and cheese with no great flavor. Tasted kinda like a large slice of a Red Baron frozen pizza. Went here based on the reviews but they were not indicative of the pizza I tasted. No reason to revisit. read more

Stopped in for a slice on the way back to my hotel. It's an average place on a busy street with average pizza and average service. Not terrible, but nothing special about this place. The restaurant had a low energy vibe except for the employee sitting at one of the tables on the phone talking very loudly. The pizza crust was somewhat doughy and left me craving another slice somewhere else. In a city with so many choices for great pizza this would not be my choice again. read more

Did a bit of pizza crawl after my day of sightseeing. This was my last stop, and I had a reverse Vanessa Williams experience, in that I saved the worst for last. The crust/bread was amazing, and for that I'll go with 2 stars at least. The cheese was horrible. It had a congealed thick nasty taste like if you microwaved it then let it re-congeal. Sauce was too sweet. I threw away my slice after eating the crust. ~$6.00 slice. read more

Napoli pizza is a must try Place. Our first visit was so good we returned for a second even though we were only in town a couple days! This is some of the best pizza I have ever tasted! It's consistently rated amongst the top pizza joints across NYC by multiple other websites- for good reason. Management was very accommodating on various levels - no need to describe the details as it's not relevant for an average review. know before you go - you literally have no other cheese but to have cheese in your pasta. Note that this is not a place for lactose intolerant kinds. I thought the concept was fresh pasta (which it is) but their ultimate menu items must include that cheese wheel. So fine. I figured they can at least give a non-cheese dish but rules are the rules. The place was packed on a weekend early evening. Lines were not forming (like it showed in the viral videos) but they were cooking up quite a bit at the front, because of carry out orders. Either way, on all angles - literally pretty much everything is ALL good and very positive. However, the one thing that needs to be addressed is that wheel made of cheese. Whoever created that chunk of a wheel, kudos to them/company. By golly - that gargantuan of a wheel was so filled with calories - I kid you not, it almost converted me to being lactose intolerant! So if you're about to have triple bypass the next day, I do not recommend this joint until you're fully healed. Yes, the flavors were good, but the cheesey elements were just too too rich. You also cannot tell them to lessen it, it's just set the way they cook the pasta within that barrel. Otherwise, the decor/ambience was nice, and tidy aspects really show through.
