Delicious food with a beautifully decorated restaurant and friendly staff. The Garlic Shrimp was fantastic and perfect for a light dinner. The daiquiri was a perfect sweet treat.

My husband and I love Mexican food. We were in Sparks and came across La Fuente. Our daughter was with us, and is also a fan of Mexican food. The place is very colorful, just like Mexico. We were greeted by I believe was the owner and is a very funny and pleasant man. My daughter and I got the Cadillac margaritas while the hubby got a coke as he was driving. I would've like another one but we had things to do. I got the carnitas, which I split with my daughter, and it came with rice and beans. My husband got a carnitas burrito which was too big for him so he took the rest home. We all enjoyed our drinks and meals. The service was wonderful! Looking forward to going again when in Sparks.

The only time this place has failed us, is when it is not open on Sundays. This is the best Mexican restaraunt in town (Sparks). My husband and I come here for date night every blue moon, and the food is always high quality and nothing to complain about. Just the BEST. Margaritas, taquitos and chimichangas for the win!

I've been coming here since I was in high school and I love that it has not changed. Chips and salsa for free! The staff are always so pleasant. And the margarita pitchers are perfect for girls night! I've ordered a number of things on the menu but my go to's are the carne asada and enchiladas. The refried beans taste the same every time, delicious and soft with just enough cheese to top it off. There's also a live mariachi band on Friday and Saturday nights. Located in Sparks off Baring blvd. The restaurant is big with a party room. Classic decor that fits the culture of the restaurant. And outdoor seating for when the weather gets warm. Make this your next stop for Mexican food!

Chips and salsa for free is elite. They pour mean Cadillac margaritas. No happy hour but they assure you that you will leave happy. Forgot to take photos of the food but they have good prices and expensive things as well so you won't break the bank and you get authentic Mexican. Service is efficient, ambiance is very chill. I think they could upgrade the interior seating but other than that you can't go wrong eating here.

Out to dinner, having a nice margarita.

We have not been here since pre-Covid. Kids no longer go to Reed high school, so we don't get to this part of town much. It's too bad, because this place is really awesome. I arrived at 8:30 PM. The place was pretty packed and there were three groups waiting to be seated. I decided to sit at the bar while waiting for my wife to get off work. Ernesto made me my first Cadillac margarita, and I started talking to another couple (Al and Michelle) at the bar. It ended up being quite a social evening. Luis and Ernesto took very good care of me and my wife. The plan was to get a table when my wife arrived, but we Decided to eat at the bar. What we ordered: Cadillac margarita on the rocks no salt Peach margarita Chicken enchilada dinner Chile Relleno À la cart, with some shredded beef on it. The food was really good. I had my wife order the larger plate and I was going to eat one of her enchiladas. However, I watched her as she kept cutting away little bits of my enchilada and I told her to just go ahead and eat it lol. She really enjoyed it that much. Also the Chile Relleno was really good. They do have some really good chips and salsa also. Ernesto was quite a funny guy. He joked around quite a bit. I asked if he was the regular bartender, he said there's no real bartender. Everyone's a bartender, waiter, host, busser... Answers the phone. Post Covid help is scarce. Service didn't seem to hurt because of this. Really was a great evening. We will come back. Even though it's such a darn long drive lol.

These things are definitely two-meal burritos - which is the whole goal of ordering a massive burrito. The meat in all options was tender and flavorful. My dad is a huge mexican food fan and was asking about specific options. The owner came over and was speaking to him and offered us a free plate of tacos with his newest meat creation! How could we say no?! I really hope he adds this to the menu because it was the most tender, juicy, saucy, flavorful shredded beef I have ever had. 10/10 on the taco scale. My dad even said that it's the best he has ever had and he has travelled all over Mexico! My father in law is also vegan and they were careful to offer him options that matched his medical dietary restrictions. The place is cute with an adorable bar stacked with all the tequilas you could ask for and included an amazing mix of handcrafted cocktails. The habanero margarita is my favorite. This place will definitely do well and welcome to the Reno scene!

(For reference, I'll return to a restaurant I rate a 4 but I won't return to a restaurant I rated a 3 unless someone I'm with wants to go to it). Here's what they do well: exceptionally good and friendly service, the portions are extremely generous given the already great prices, homemade flour tortillas, smooth horchata, great guac (finely diced onion and tomato in it), delicious bean and cheese burrito with great umami (love when it's salty and richly flavorful), being able to view the kitchen in action (people pay a lot of money for those teppanyaki show style dinners! lol), and frankly because they were already rated so high I figured the Yelp community can't be wrong! Here's what was less than impressive on my visit in late August 2026: my huevos rancheros sauce was bland. I could sense there was a hint of chicken bullion in the background but for the most part I felt like I was eating watered down canned tomato sauce that had been thickened with cornstarch and had a pinch of bullion. I was hoping for some acidity, some cumin, some spice-- something! But it just fell flat. I was also disappointed that there was essentially bits of raw bell pepper just thrown on top. In addition, I personally don't mind their deteriorating "ambiance" but I think it might matter to the average person searching reviews on Yelp so I gotta tell ya, it's rough inside; I'm talking exposed wood in the countertop, cracked and peeling barstool cushions (all they have is barstool seating by the way, but there's plenty of seats and they are lined up around a long counter that faces the kitchen). Now, I can't end with that for a "4" so do let me remind you of some of the good: great prices, good portions, friendly service, and lots of yelpers appear to rate them highly. My recommendation, perhaps try a burrito-- the simple bean and cheese burrito my daughter got (that I took a bite of) was fantastic.

I got 4 street tacos at $2.50 each they were $10 of the fastest and well prepared tacos I've found anywhere outside of Tijuana! I got buche, carnitas, asada, and al pastor. Each one was amazing, so juicy. I also had the piña agua fresca in a large and that was also yummy. Not too sweet. The couple things I'd recommend is; a better salsa bar. They give you squeeze bottles of green, dark red and light red salsas but I like picking my own along with limes and they didn't have pickled jalapeño, onions or carrots. They recently added outdoor seating with cement and tile tables/chairs but in the summer it's too hot. So I Highly recommend getting umbrellas or shade sails for people to enjoy it outside. Also some music, it was pretty dead inside at 3p on a Friday and they had the Latino news on. Overall, great experience and the staff were friendly but closed off behind the agua fresca machines and empty salsa bar.
