We like the family meal, 2 pounds of carnitas, a quart of refried beans, a platter of Mexican rice, a dozen corn tortillas, cup of hot sauce and a small bag of green lemons. We add some tortilla chips, diced tomato and shredded lettuce. Feeds 6 of us nicely. We always get the food to go and have never eaten there. It is clean inside.

Love this place! Get food here all the time. Everything is great, the inside is dope and the weekends are wildly packed. Great in every way overall

I am super picky about my pozale and even more when it comes to carnitas. I am Mexican American and I'm use to my mothers home made cooking so when I eat out it's super difficult to find something comparable. Carnitas Michoacán is that place for me when it comes to comfort food right from home. Very similar to my mothers flavors and high quality meats and ingredients. We have catered the carnitas with their rice and beans. Their salsas are amazing as well. Their pozale had such a great flavor and it comes with all the fixing. On top of it they serve their plates with home made tortillas. The people here are also super nice. I intend to want to try all their beverages lol so far the Jamaica is my favorite. Anyway the service here is awesome and there always ready to serve. The decor reminds a lot of Mexico - super authentic and welcoming. Recommend coming here for the food. So good.

Always one of our favorite family places to eat at. Service is always so hospitable and genuinely welcoming. The food is always so fresh and seeing how the community flocks to this local eatery you know it's good! My favorite of course is the carnitas and the enchiladas.

I have always driven past this location on Mitchell, but never with the opportunity to try it out as I've always had a destination past it. Alas, the opportunity arose since I was in the area and, wow, it was amazing! Parking was easy to come by the side of the building. Walked in and see that it was decently packed with other customers. First time here and the menu was up front with all their specialties. The menu was in Spanish so it was a bit difficult to understand, however, we made do. I ordered their new quesabirria tacos and my friend ordered their carne con chile plate. We were able to find a table inside and waited about 10 minutes for our food. The quesabirria came out very delicious! It came with three tacos each including the meat and melted cheese folded into a tortilla with a side of their consommé. There was a GREAT amount of ingredients and cheese that paired very well with the consommé. I wish the dish was a bit crispier to get a nicer crunch, but wasn't a big deal. The carne con chile was also very delicious and what I love about plates is you can make your own concoction on how to eat it. Can make a taco, mini burrito, or just eat them bit by bit. The meat was very tender and had great flavor. With my observations I see that this place is utilizing disposables for all of their customers. Plates, forks, spoons, etc. all to help decrease the spread of COVID-19. Although, this increases the trash produced here I respect what they are trying to do to help our community during this pandemic. Glad I finally tried this location and will for sure be back in the future to try their other items on the menu!

This place is our Sunday go to. , All the dishes are full of flavor. Wonderful customer service, our waiter and waitress every time have great attitudes. The wait time is kinda long but it's worth it. It's obviously for a reason, they bring quality. My family enjoy it every time. We will be back over and over again. Thank you you all over at Carnitas Michoacan.

We ordered cheese enchiladas and chicken fajitas this time. The service was good. The waitress checked on us. We got seated in the garden patio and it was nice there. They kept it cool. The food was okay. The fajitas were served smoking hot with side of tortillas and sour cream, pico, and guacamole only. The veggies were well grilled and overall pretty tasty. I opted to not get beans. The enchiladas were okay. I didn't like them very much last time, and still didn't like them this time, either. We ordered the churro dessert. It came served with a side of ice cream and whipped cream. It was also okay. My visit to La Morenita was better this time than the last time, but still the menu felt pricier and probably won't come back. P.S. The chips and salsa were really yummy.

My only real recommendation is to avoid sitting in the bar area if you're in a hurry. Service there tends to move a lot slower, so it can take a while to get your order in and get your food. The restaurant itself is a little run down, and the bathrooms could definitely use some attention, but the bar and outside area is decorated nicely and has a good atmosphere overall. All in all, it's a great local spot and one I keep going back to.

We also got the Mexican pizza (didn't get a picture) which was also really good, the grilled jalapeños and onions were the perfect addition to the pizza and the tortilla itself was soft but not soggy with all the toppings. Dessert options were a little sad, they don't have much, but the chocoflan did not disappoint. It was very decadent without tasting overly sweet. Now for service. We had reservations at 5:30pm on a Saturday so wasn't too busy yet. Got seated fast. Our server was a gem, don't remember his name, but he went above and beyond with accommodating dietary restrictions. Service was a bit slow on drinks but our server apologized for that. I didn't mind, I rather my food comes out first anyway. All in all, great experience, great food. Will be back to try more!

We've ordered a wide variety of items from the menu, and every single thing has been incredible. The carnitas are hands down some of the best we've ever had--perfectly tender, flavorful, and with just the right amount of crisp. And the burritos? Huge, packed with quality ingredients, and bursting with authentic flavor in every bite. You can really tell they care about what they're serving. Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and made with consistency. It's rare to find a place where everything you try hits, but this is definitely one of them. If you're in the area (or even if you're not), it's absolutely worth checking out. This is going to be a regular stop for us from now on. It's so good I forgot to take pics of the food!

They are a pretty new establishment (at least based on the number of reviews) in Ceres, and is across the street from the Home Depot and Grocery Outlet. The inside is lined with booths and a few tables in the center, with a lot of warm terracotta vibes throughout. When we arrived, it was particularly smoky from an apparently really hot plate and it left a hazy fog around the whole restaurant when we sat down at our booth lol There were also several annoying flies during our meal that brought my rating down. We ordered: Nacho fries - The fries on this were more reminiscent of home fries/breakfast potatoes as they weren't really crispy, and more soggy. The asada and guac was plentiful. Overall this dish did its job of satiating SO's craving. Tripa California burrito - This wasn't bad at all! It came with a really good hot sauce. I could have taken shots of it (and I did). The tripa was pungent yet crispy. The fries had the same texture as the ones used in the nacho fries. Before our food came, in-house diners receive a basket of tortilla chips and salsa and their version of 'curtido' (pickly cabbage slaw). I especially liked the freshness and crunch! Service was good. The dude was super nice, although I think he missed my order of a horchata as it never made it out. I brushed it off as a sign that I didn't need an additional sweet drink with my meal :) In the end, I am glad we tried a new place. But I don't know if it is close enough to us for it to be a regular spot.
