They seriously need to stop nickel and dime-ing the customers. We bought a drink package and were limited to every 10 minutes. That means if you order a specialty code you can't also have a water for yourself at the same time.. you have to wait 10 minutes. Fresh juices are not included in the nonalcoholic beverage plan. Also their WiFi has major limitations. I couldn't get any SMS messages. No phone calls unless it was through WiFi of course. Plus a lot of folks don't remember to put their phone on airplane mode and get hit with extra charges for unintentionally using a normal feature of their phone. Food on the Radiance was better at the buffet than the dining room during breakfast. Most of my food was extremely dry. Dinner was better but they sure had a funny interpretation of "medium rare" my prime rib was barely cooked except for the outside edge.

My review is for Radiance from Los Angeles to Cabo and Ensenada and If it wasn't for the constant rocking of the ship from left to right and my horrible seasickness it would have been a great vacation. Unfortunately the patch, zofran, Dramamine, and even Sudafed didn't help, which was a really drag. Nonetheless the drop off and boarding were extremely easy. They delivered our luggage within a few hours of boarding. Our Stateroom 8th Floor and center of the ship was small but we had lots of storage, king size bed, and balcony. Only one plug with two extra usb ports, however there is a second plug for the TV and if you're like me and don't watch it just unplug it for extra electronics. Everyone on board (employees) were extremely happy and always offered a good morning or good evening comment when you passed by. Lots of different entertainment from concerts to comedy shows they definitely kept you busy. The food situation was hit or miss. Guys burgers are fantastic but some of the other places not so good it just depends on what you like they definitely have allot to choose from. Our first destination was Cabo San Lucas which aside from the beach was absolutely terrible. Town was very trashy with not many choices for restaurants or shopping, and Ensenada wasn't much different just a sad place with the same shops. Two places I hope to never visit again. The ship offers so much more!

We just did our 5th cruise out of Long Beach. Ensenada for 2 days. 19 people total. Room was clean and tidy. Iwan was our cabin steward and did a great job. Oscar was our team lead server and Jay was our other server. They both were wonderful. All of our bellies were full and happy every night at dinner. It was our first time in Firenze and I liked a majority of the ship. I didn't like the lido deck. It was missing stairs to go down from water works to lido. Radiance and Panorama had the stairs to go down quick. The Firenze had a retractable roof to cover Lido deck. I think that's why it didn't have stairs. Other than that, we made a lot of memories. Ate good everyday. Thank you Carnival!

My first time cruising with Carnival and it exceeded my expectations! Hubby and I joined family on the Firenze to Ensenada. It's been over a decade since my last cruise so I've been out of the loop on the latest and greatest. I was super stoked to find legit vegan options within the all-inclusive meals! The effort and thoughtfulness in crafting the plant-based menu is pretty impressive! The dining room menu (breakfast and dinner) is posted on the Carnival app so I could preorder my meals. And there is a dedicated vegan section in their menu that is changed daily for variety. Here are some highlights: - Shrimp Cocktail https://bit.ly/4btbRlx - Vegetable Wellington https://bit.ly/3Lk8l2l - Chicken Cordon Bleu https://bit.ly/49PuTkQ - Eggs Benedict https://bit.ly/4szV72b - Spiced Quinoa & Chickpea Fritters https://bit.ly/4sAJmIN - Créme Brûlée https://bit.ly/3NcG6Dk - Coconut Parfait https://bit.ly/4sqSfVc - Vegan Butter for the bread! https://bit.ly/4jFNV0A Most of my meals were in the Michelangelo dining room (breakfast and dinner), but an honorable mention goes to the pizza spot on the lido deck for having vegan cheese. Something that actually shocked me was the lack of vegan options in the Marketplace buffet, which I honestly thought would be where I would have the most flexibility. The buffet didn't even offer a salad bar or fresh fruit consistently. The Firenze ship is nice! We had an aft balcony stateroom which was convenient for capturing gorgeous timelapse's at sunrise and sunset. We also had access to the Terrazza deck, which I recommend if you're an introvert like me. There is a brunch offered at MODA Lounge for Terrazza guests. The upper decks had water slides, mini golf, corn hole, and a rope course. Lots of activities throughout other parts of the ship that were geared toward Gen X and Millennials, including games around 80s, 90s, and 2000s pop culture. The spa is nice but be prepared for staff to pitch products for you to buy. We treated ourselves to a couples massage. Pro tip, make the appointment during golden hour so you can get this gorgeous view: https://bit.ly/4btNnbL Overall, we had fun! This Carnival experience made me a fan. Looking forward to my next adventure!

Our third time on a Carnival ship; the Radiance, 11-6-2025 to 11-10-2025. A 4 day cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada. The Radiance was originally built back in 2000, rebuilt in 2021. And we found certain inconveniences, like, cabin walls that were not made of metal. Thus, unable to support our magnetic hooks that we've gotten so very use to on other newer ships. Food was okay, as far as the main dining room and the buffet were concerned. And the pizzas at Pizzeria de Capitano are outstanding! But Guy's Burgers was disappointing, burger and fries. And my past one time try of Big Chicken was enough for me. Sorry Shaq. Very friendly staff though. Other than the marriage seminar we participated in this sailing, once again we just haven't gotten much out of the Carnival Cruise Lines experience.

What an adventure. First cruise ever and had the most amazing experience that I just can't wait to do it all over again. This was amazing from check in to check. Service was excellent and the food delicious. I did a 5 day los Cabos cruise. Totally recommend doing this shop cruise if you a a first time cruise vacationer like myself. Every one treated us with so much respect and was so courteous from house keeping to our waitress was amazing. One of the things that I loved the most was the pizza was freshly made every night. Totally doing this cruse again 5 stars for Carnival

1 Star The cruise itself was enjoyable, but Carnival's post-cruise customer service is one of the worst I've ever experienced. The moment your cruise is over, it feels like Carnival no longer cares about its guests. If you have a question about your onboard account, an incorrect charge, a refund, or a credit that needs to be applied, there is no way to speak with a live representative. Instead, you're directed to fill out an online form and then receive an automated email stating that someone may respond in up to 10 business days. Ten business days to respond to questions involving charges to a customer's credit card is completely unacceptable. While Carnival takes only seconds to process charges to your account, they expect customers to wait up to two weeks just to receive a response about those same charges. By then, the charges may have already posted to your credit card, creating unnecessary stress and frustration. In my case, there was a simple issue involving onboard account credits that should have been resolved quickly with a five-minute phone call. Instead, I was told to submit an online form and wait. There was no option to speak with anyone who could immediately review the account or provide reassurance that additional charges would not be processed. What makes this even more disappointing is that Carnival has no problem answering the phone when you're booking a cruise or spending money. Before your vacation, representatives are readily available. After they've collected your money, that level of customer service disappears. Guests deserve the same level of support after their cruise as they receive before boarding. Billing issues and credit card concerns should never be handled through an automated system with a 10-business-day response time. Customers deserve immediate access to a live representative when their money is involved. I expected much better from a company of Carnival's size and reputation. Until Carnival improves its post-cruise customer service and gives guests access to real people who can resolve billing issues promptly, I cannot recommend them based on this experience. Great cruise. Terrible customer service once you step off the ship.

Overall very happy with my experiance the food was great and the service was exellent went after my honeymoon, I went to Ensenada on Carnival Island and had a great time at the ports. I would say everything was included. I didn't have to pay for extra stuff, but everything that was extra was expensive. That was the only downside. The comedy shows were great.

This review is for Firenze. We decided to arrive using Tax. Make sure you print your boarding pass and luggage tag at home, you'll save time when you arrive. You go to a typical ID and passport check. Then when you get inside, your cruise cards are waiting for you in the box at your room door. For staying, there are multiple room options available. Small rooms with no window. Small rooms with window but no balcony. Small rooms with balcony. Then big suits. I suggest you get a room with balcony because it is better. Normal small rooms have two twin beds or one queen bed, one small couch, one cabin with tub and sink, another cabin with sink and toilet and shower, TV, hair dryer, a safe and a small fridge. TV had some in-network channels. Air conditioner worked very well. Room had several wardrobes to put your cloths. Make sure you bring an empty water bottle so you can fill it for free from the Lido level buffet. You can store your luggage under the bed if luggage is not too big. Hot water in shower was very hot. Suggestion: I wish the have more outlets closer to the beds. Make sure your phone is on airplane mode after ship leaves the port so you don't get charged for connecting to ships phone tower. Make sure cruise Company's phone app is downloaded in your phone and signed in because it will be very helpful, you can see all the shows, you can make dinner reservations, etc. There is a two minute meeting to show your emergency area and then you need to watch two minute video on your phone app or on your TV. If you don't wanna eat at the buffet at all times, make sure to make your dinner reservations at Michalengeno or Medici in advance. Buffet has very good choices, and also water, coffee, tea and fruit juices are included. There is also a smash burger store, which was superb. There is a Mexican food place as well as a salad place and sandwich place that you can try. If you like soft drinks like Coke or sprite, you can bring an unopened container dozen box into ship. Also a bottle of wine if you drink it. If you wanna join to some excursions, make sure you make a smart decision because if you change your mind, they will not refund your money, which happened to my friend. Gym is open to all passengers. There is also a sauna with ocean view, which was superb.. Your personal cruise-card is very important, if you don't wanna carry your wallet everywhere, you can buy a plastic container and hang it around your neck. Make sure you hold on to your cruise-card until the cruise finished and you are out of the passport control because they may check. Also, plan accordingly be aware that first day and last day, elevators were not available because porters were carrying your luggage. While leaving the ship, if you forgot to print your luggage tag, you can go to guest services and ask them to print one for you, or you can reserve your luggage tag through the Phone app. Internet is available for a fee, otherwise you can use the free version which is good so your phone app gets updates. If you prefer, sit-down dining in Medici or Michalengeno you can have 2 entries, multiple appetizers, multiple desserts but make sure you check the menu because there were some items that will not be free and it will cost you. If you need anything else like tea, coffee, or yogurt, you can ask them to bring it to you. Also, room service is free, as well. Deck 12 has a nice walking trail that you can enjoy walking especially early morning. Deck 15 has adult space with no kids, otherwise kids are everywhere in this ship and they are constantly screaming, be ready. There are many dancing events or movie nights.. There is also casino inside the ship which smelled so bad. Comedy shows were decent enough. There was also an art show. Ship was very clean, crew was constantly cleaning so I had no problem in cleanliness. Staff was extremely friendly. Especially our hallway attendee, and the staff at the restaurant were very kind and nice people. There is a nine hole mini golf that you can enjoy. On the day of leaving the ship, if you can wake up early, you can have a breakfast. Make sure you make a reservation early in the morning. By the way, if you want them to pick up your luggage before you leave the ship, you need to make it ready before 10:30 PM the night before. One of the things I did not like was that they don't have a proper system for people to use like fussball table or ping-pong table or other amenities, because I've seen many people are arguing, especially around the ping-pong table. People were constantly arguing that they were in line or they came there first. A whiteboard on the wall where people can write down their names to get in line by the ping Pong table could have easily resolved these arguments. One of the dinner nights on the ship is prom night so I've seen people dressing up very nicely.. Make sure you pack a sandal or slippers. Cruise gives you two pool towels, and more towels are available by the pool side.

4/23 & 4/24 - TV in room malfunction day 1 & 2. It required the replacement of a new TV on 4/25 4/26 - Carpet wet due to housekeeper(s) flooding room entrance to mid room. Found industrial room dryer/fan when returning to the room @ approximately 4pm. The the cart remained wet/damp and the entire room smelled like mold the remainder of my stay. Birthday Wine was delivered 1 day late to my room on 4/24 opposed to 4/23 along with birthday decorations

First time on a cruise and it was nicer than I expected! Hubby decided to book a 5 day cruise this summer break with two stops in Mexico for our family. It was a lot nicer than we expected. Food and service were good, most of the employees we encountered were pleasant and friendly. They offer different food options at each buffet. We had dinner four evenings at Sunrise and our dinner servers were pretty great and extremely friendly; shoutouts to: Jay, Mackvin, and Pal. There was a different menu each day. Kid's menu didn't change which was good for my picky kiddos. We realized a couple days in that the buffet serves a lot of the same things they do at the restaurant so we opted to eat at the buffet one of the days for dinner. The next day we saw one of our dinner servers at breakfast and he asked where we were the night before and let us know we were missed at sunrise. I thought that was a nice gesture. So we went back to sunrise the last night lol. My kiddos loved the "day care" (Camp Ocean) where they met some friends they'd run into on the ship. Our cabin was pretty nice and included a balcony, small living room, mini fridge, two twin beds put together as a king bed. Jimi was our main housekeeping steward and was very friendly each and every time we encountered him in the hallway. My kids loved the animals the towels would be folded into and that they'd leave set in our room after servicing it. A lot of other food options: guy's burgers and pig anchor bbq, shaq's chicken, tacos, sandwiches, pasta, and pizza. There were two pools one in the middle and one in the back. The middle also had two large slides and a smaller kid's area and a mini golf area on deck 12. So many more things we saw including the welcome party, comedy shows, karaoke, and rock revolution. It was overall a very nice, fun, and memorable trip with my family.

Four cruises in. One on the Splendor and three on the Panorama. Lots of kids and teens, many unattended. Pools and spas constantly packed. Parents do take toddlers with swim diapers in both. The Havana ship area limits to kids 12 and older. The Serenity area is for adults only. On the past two cruises we noticed the menu items at the dinner restaurant were the same as the lunch buffet that day. Best food items are at the cafe for the free sandwiches for lunch or dinner and then in the morning do the bagels at sea. If you don't mind paying for food, Bonsai is good and so is the Seafood Shack. You can pay for the wings but they are smaller now, no more ranch, and the wings are all flats. Elevators seemed to be taking longer and grouping decks oddly. Dance club, comedy and silent parties were all the best for us. Our group of 14 had the seating messed up on the first night but Carnival fixed it the following evening. Clean rooms and a friendly staff. The only unhappy staff members seem to be at the pig n anchor buffets that we experienced twice.

Carnival Cruise Lines Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Carnival Cruise Lines

Can kids watch the comedy and other shows on board a 2&3 year old?

Yes! Some shows are appropriate for children. Family friendly.

Is there Electric Vehicle parking at the port? If so, how many parking spots are dedicated for EV charging?

    No EV parking

Do you have a three day ? Port of Long Beach. Catalina island/Ensenada cruise in March? Checking on pricing for me and my friends family.?

    Yes they do!

Haven't been able to get through via phone to ask about my 2 year old needing covid testing prior to the cruise. Is there a better number to call?

No more Covid testing for anyone

We are going on a carnival cruise. Where can we park and how much?

There's a parking garage next to the port. They charge $20/day.

If I am taking a cruise to Mexico do I need to get a passport or can I bring my birth certificate?

Birth certificate and state id is ok.

Did anyone try to video chat while docked in Ensenada? I may need to participate in a video conference while on the ship and I don't have a lot of faith that the signal will be strong enough.

You may have to buy the wifi package via Carnival hub; and do it on the ship while it is in port in Ensenada.

Do you need a passport for 3 day to mexico?

    Yes

What's the earliest we can board on a Thursday for a 3 day cruise? I can't find that info anywhere, it just says departure at 5:30pm

When you book you can select board times. We selected early board around 3pm. They took us at 130 after we got there early.…

Is there parking if I were to drive there? If so, How much is the rate?

Yes and it's $19 a day. Super. Convenient too!!! It just went from $17 a day to $19. We just got back last Saturday!

Going to cabo, mazatlan, and puerto vallarta, but hows the night life on the cruise? Lets say i went dancin, till what time does it end before we have to head back to our rooms?

I want to say they are open until around 2 AM.

I am taking a 7 day cruise on Carnival Splendor in May, to Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. Are port times on the itinerary aligned to each port's local time? If in port 8-8, is that local time? Need to know so I don't miss my scheduled excursions

Hi Emily! The time that everyone uses is the ship's time. This will be the local Long Beach time or California time. Have fun on your trip!

What drinks are included? Can you bring beer on the ship?? Thanks

Check out the website for guidelines. You can take some juice and water. You're also allowed two wine bottles per person, no beer allowed. You get coffee, lemonade and regular water for free. You Can buy the drink special for about $50 each day you…

How much are the government fees & taxes?

I personally have never investigated this. However, most likely the government fees and taxes incured would depends on the Country of departure port.

    Do they have vegetarian food?

    Yes.

I have to…read moresay it's difficult for me to write this review as my family and I were very much looking forward to spending a beautiful day on the bait to celebrate my dads birthday. And all though we still made the best of it it really did not live up to what was promised and the amount of money we paid. So let's start with m: 1. The address did not match what was listed on their Yelp page and created a lot of confusion and frustration especially since we had kids with us. I had to text the owner, Mario, and he gave us another location to charter form which was not at all what was listed on their page. 2. Not sure if the captain of the day,Noah, was having a bad day or what but he was definitely not in the mood to greet us properly. He was very short, not so friendly and barely spoke to us during our ride. 3. The boat was not like the photos they presented or posted on Yelp. I even texted the owner and asked him to send me a few photos of what the boat will look like. It was definitely dirty, the coaches were so damaged and dirty they had black clothes over them. One of inside couches was wet, my uncle sat on it unknowingly making his pants wet and him uncomfortable for the rest of the ride. 4. The table surfaces were all damaged & chipped. We had to be careful for the kids not to get splinters when they would approach the table to grab something to eat. 5. Worst of it all was that we only watched cargo shipments for 2 hours!! On our phone call with Mario mentioned we can go through the canals and even get a far glimpse of the Queen Mary but we didn't. We even asked Noah to take us the other way around into the open water and he said no he needs to this way first (meaning by the cargo shipments). It was very disappointing since it was my dads actual birthday and the experience was completely robbed from us. It's very sad that we wasted over a thousand dollars and didn't receive what we had paid for. And I even texted Mario afterwards telling him our concerns but didn't get a reply back. Poor customer service.

And they're phasing out their most powerful boat, the 75hp, because of too much abuse and the associated high insurance costs. But they still offer the 40hp boat and that has plenty of power, with a top speed of about 20 knots. It comfortably seats 4 people in designated seats, but can fit an extra two people sitting up front sideways on bench seating. I had a great time. I saw seals sunbathing on the buoys, and I even saw dolphins near the first oil rig island by the Queen Mary ship. Of course you can also get a nice close-up view of the Queen Mary itself. You're allowed to go almost to the Seal Beach Municipal Pier, but not quite. 1hr duration is enough if you want to do a quick single lap of the designated ocean area. 2hrs is highly recommend if you want to take your time and not be rushed. Be sure to bring a light jacket, hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the wind and sun. The designated driver is not allowed to drink. I'm not sure if the rest of the guests are allowed to drink. Park near the Yard House restaurant and then walk to the back of the restaurant and you'll see the little hut with the staff in it. If nobody is there then look over the edge to the docked boats because the staff might be down there instead.

Because we couldn't get up on a plane, the small waves ended up splashing everyone on the boat. We just puttered around the shoreline marina. It was fun, but a little disappointing at the same time.

Whenever we have family or friends visiting from out of state or overseas, it's one of our favorite activities because it's a relaxing way to see the Port of Long Beach, the Queen Mary, and, if you're lucky, the sea lions. We brought another group yesterday, and everyone enjoyed the tour. The only downside, in my opinion, is the boats used for the harbor tour. Yesterday we were on the Kristina, and in the past we've also been on the Caroline, which we chartered for my mother's ash-scattering ceremony about 14 years ago. Both vessels are showing their age. I also think the marketing could be clearer. The photos on the website and many travel sites prominently feature the newer catamarans, which gives the impression that those are the boats used for the harbor tour. I actually called ahead to ask and learned that the harbor tours use different vessels. While I appreciated getting the correct information, many first-time visitors probably wouldn't think to ask and may expect the newer boats shown in the advertising. The harbor tour itself is still worthwhile, and we'll likely continue bringing our guests because we genuinely enjoy the experience. I just hope Harbor Breeze considers updating or refurbishing the harbor tour vessels and making the marketing a little clearer so guests know exactly what to expect.

There was a lot of people in line. I was in the middle and thought I wouldn't get good seats, but I ended up sitting outside in the front. The boat is really nice and big. The front is the best place to sit with a good view of the whales and dolphins. The inside was packed and you don't really see a lot and sitting outside in the back you could smell the fumes from the engine. I did see dolphins and whales - the mom and the calf. They had a couple of experts talk about the whales and dolphins. We were past Newport Beach when we finally saw the whales. We spent a good amount of time seeing them. Then we went back. It's gets windy. It was a fun experience.

When we checked in 30 mins early we were met by very friendly staff in the office who quickly verified our registration. I had forgotten to add a Captains hat and extra ice to my reservation but that was no issue for them they happily assisted me with those needs. We were given our paperwork and told exactly where to go to meet the gentleman down on the dock who would assist us in getting to our boat. Down on the dock we met Mets and so glad we did. Although he was working several other groups at the same time he greeted us, assisted us with loading our coolers on the boat and made sure we knew he would be checking on us as we decorated our boat for a surprise birthday. Once our group arrived he took the time to talk to our soon whose birthday it was. He was very thorough in his safety briefing and we felt very comfortable in safely operating the boat. He even pointed out that there were large groups of jellyfish in a certain area and that we should go see them. Once we returned he was standing right on the edge of the dock guiding us in. He asked all about our experience, was very sincere, and even recommended we bring our dogs next time. He is insisted on cleaning up our decorations for us ( though I highly recommend bringing a small trash bag for your trash) I cannot to rent again from London! Mike

When I say this experience was awesome and refreshing, I truly mean it. The views during the boat ride were absolutely amazing, and for a few hours I felt completely at peace--as if all my troubles had simply vanished. The atmosphere was relaxing, the scenery was beautiful, and it gave me a chance to clear my mind and just enjoy the moment. One of the things I enjoyed most was watching families and friends have a great time together. It was uplifting to see so many people creating memories, and I even had the opportunity to meet a few genuinely kind and interesting people along the way. Thank you for providing such a memorable experience. If you're looking for a peaceful, refreshing escape with beautiful views and great energy, I highly recommend it. Five stars!

I recommend bringing sunglasses and or sun hat if you're going to sit at the top of the boat, especially on a sunny day! Cruise | Informative! We were given the history of Long Beach, cruised by plenty of colorful shipping containers, as well as enjoyed the gorgeous views of Long Beach! The person on the loudspeaker did a fantastic job! I'm new to exploring the Long Beach area, so the information was helpful! Other Passengers | While chatting with my friend, a woman from Pacific Palisades joined us! She had a margarita in one hand and a big personality in the other hand! Haha! She had me laughing, nearly nonstop! She was hilarious, which made the boat ride even more fun! The experience includes a 2 hour rental (extra cost to hire a driver) allowing for a maximum of 10 guests on board. It's $250 for the regular boat and $350 for the pink, and a 15% service fee is imposed. The boat was clean and the ride was extremely comfortable and safe- feeling the breeze on the ocean on a hot day was amazing. They provide you with a safe route and a map to follow with beautiful views, so you don't need to stress about figuring it out. It was also extremely easy to drive despite not having any prior experience, so you really don't need to hire a driver at all. They also have an adorable restaurant that I had no idea about! I definitely need to come back with all my friends and dine in before or after the boat ride.

The Bluetooth connection worked fine but the speakers were a little blown. Despite the condition of the duffy, we still had a blast. The staff was very nice checking us in, getting us started and parking the duffy. I'd totally do this again!
