Carnival Sweets was AMAZING! We were waiting on our driver to do the Saint Augustine Christmas lights tour. We still had about an hour so we went on a walk to find some coffee. We got about halfway to where we were going and decided we weren't going to make it there and back on time. We crossed the street and turned around to head back to where we were parked. We walked up to Carnival Sweets and immediately noticed how absolutely charming the store looked. You went inside and it's such a quaint little store. We were immediately greeted by two men who were just the kindest. I purchased two honey bun cow tails for my children and then I ordered two hot chocolates and a strawberry lemonade. To receive your drinks, you go out the side door to the left, around the back. The hot chocolate with some of the most decadent that I have ever had. It was incredibly rich and very flavorful. The strawberry lemonade was also delicious. Between the cleanliness, the cutest decor, the kindest staff, and the delicious drinks, I wish I lived closer to come here more often. This is definitely an establishment that deserves your money and time. read more

This is a fairly new store, only being open for about a year and a half. The owner is super fun and friendly. There is a lot going on in this store! He has several varieties of popcorn, a few deep fried sweets (twinkies, twix, etc), funnel cakes, shaved ice, old time candy and flavored bottled sodas. There is indoor seating and restrooms. The staff is more than willing to help you decide what to get and you can sample the popcorn flavors. The store needs better advertising from the outside though. They are in the corner of a large strip mall and hard to see. There is very little signage from the outside. They have large windows that they are under utilizing for advertising. They also need signage out by the main road. This seems to be a little hidden gem. It's very fun inside and kids would love to visit this place. During our short visit, there were a couple different customers who came in and bought a large quantity of items. Don't sleep on this place! read more

Dangerously fun and awesome! Funnel cakes, ice cream, candy and caramel apples, and more gourmet popcorn flavors than I've ever seen anywhere! They also have lots of nostalgic candy such as candy cigarettes no longer called candy cigarettes, and bubblegum cigars no longer called cigars! We walked in and were warmly greeted by the owner-operators. A cheerful and professional young man warmly greeted us and asked us if this is our first time there. He gave us a tour of the store pointing out everything they had. He circled us back to the gourmet popcorn and handed out little paper cups and asked us what flavors we wanted to try. We tried over half a dozen flavors, under three broad categories: sweet, Savory, and chocolate. They had several sizes to choose from Mini to extra large. They had several cereal inspired flavors such as Fruity Pebbles and Apple Jacks. 84 small and larger sizes, they'll even mix multiple flavors into the single bag. We wound up getting Crab Boil what's head Old Bay flavor to it, a loaded baked potato and a jalapeno cheddar. We also got strawberries and the Oreo flavor mixed her our daughter. The cinnamon roll was also quite sweet and decadent. We also bought a few can candy flavors such as strawberry lemonade and birthday cake. One item that they have that we that our daughter may try next time is a cotton candy burrito. It is cotton candy stuffed with ice cream and I think like a deep-fried items such as an Oreo. Oh yeah did I mention they had deep fried Snickers Twinkies Oreos and three other candy bars? Funnel cakes with a variety of toppings with also available. If they had dogs I would never need to go to the fair again! The store was super clean and very well organized. You also can sign up for their frequent flyer type program with a phone number and email address. I'm sure we will come back again the next time we want something unhealthy yet wonderful! read more

We found this place on a bike ride of ours! This place is super cute and when you walk in all the decadent smells of the carnival come through! Popcorn, funnel cakes, sugar, etc... They have a massive selection of sweet and savory popcorns that you can sample ranging from loaded baked potato (you can taste the cream, bacon and cheddar that comes through!), Oreo (excellent delivery on this! Pieces of Oreo cookie and the cream from the middle are heavy in flavor which is THE BEST), even the blueberry tastes like your eating blueberries! You can order funnel cakes and load it with toppings, get fried carnival treats like fried twinkies, Oreos and Kit Kat's...they even have unique flavor Cotten candies like coffee and Orange creamsicle which you can even get a cotton candy burrito that is filled with ice cream!! Before you even walk in to the store you can smell the popcorn and sweets and once you walk in you're greeted by the friendly store owners and fun carnival decorations! I love this place so much. The popcorn and treats are all handmade and you can tell the owners put so much love and work into this place. I ordered the unicorn funnel cake ( pictured below) and it was so good. I also sampled some of their popcorn flavors, all which were great! Highly recommend visiting if you're visiting St. Augustine.
