I called them back multiple times to get refunded. I talked to multiple people and they said the manager was going to contact me. It has been a month and no one has followed up with me. I highly recommend going to Carol to get waxing done. She is clean, sensitive of time, pays attention to detail, and knows what she is doing. Her wax leaves my hair growing in much slower and thinner. I have very course hair and her technique makes the pain so much more bareable. She runs her own business by herself, supporting herself and her family which I admire and respect. She is very aware of different lifestyles, supporting students, and other women. She is smart and engages in great conversation. Gives good advice, who knew your waxing lady could be so cool?! Always texts to confirm appointments the day before and the day of just incase you forget. She offers other services besides waxing, and is very informative when answering questions about the different services. I love her service, and personality. The Groupon also included a paraffin hand treatment, but be forewarned that the paraffin is scalding hot when you dip your hands in. Paula started out with a facial, including extractions. I actually think that during the extractions, she was also tweezing the little hairs on the area between my nose and cheek! Never had an esthetician do that before but I actually appreciated that. Then came the microdermabrasion and then after that was a very thorough arm, chest, shoulder, scalp and face massage. That was what made her stand out from the other estheticians I've been to. It wasn't a quick lotion rub down. I love a good massage. Just when I thought it was over, then came a cooling seaweed mask which was left on my face for 20 minutes. There was a lot of other steps to my experience with Paula but I'm highlighting the points that makes her stand out. Her office is in a suite of other businesses, which includes a private parking lot in back. That is a big deal, when located on busy Santa Clara St. After it was all over, she showed me my dead skin and all the gunk she got out from the extractions. It's the day after, and my skin is feeling and looking smooth and soft. I definitely plan on going back. Who knows...if she keeps this up, I may have to switch over from the regular esthetician I've been seeing for over 12 years and buy a series of facials.

I once kissed a stripper on the mouth in Las Vegas. That is now the second grossest thing I've ever…read moredone. 1. This place is FILTHY. The walls are covered in greasy gunk. The door knobs are somehow both sticky and slimy. Everything has a layer of dust. The products are old looking and covered in dried goo (See photo). She doesn't appear to have a sink or even clean towels. I didn't see any hygienic or cleanliness efforts whatsoever. I noticed all this when... 2. She took, not one, but TWO personal calls during my Brazilian! She held her personal cell phone right over my bits as she took said calls. She didn't wash her hands after either. She then stepped outside to meet her friend leaving me spread eagle and covered in wax! No hand washing after that either. 3. I thought that given all her good reviews here, at least she probably does a really good job. She did not. I got out of there as quickly as I could but when I got home, I saw that she also left not just a few strays, but actual chunks of hair. It's like she did 80% of the job. I was a red, swollen, still hairy mess who was lucky she didn't end up with a staph infection. Summing up the experience perfectly, when the wax was finished, she handed me a stained and visibly dirty piece of fabric that was not even a towel to wipe my oily hands on. I chose instead to run home to a hot, hopefully disinfecting shower. I don't understand how the place has five stars. TLDR: NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. Ew. Nope.
