I took it back to the shop and they told me it had essentially no coolant in it. I immediately asked the technicians why there was no coolant. They told me, "It was filled up when it was here." When I asked, "Then why is there no coolant in it now?", they couldn't give me an explanation beyond repeating that they had filled it. The car continued losing coolant and overheating. I brought it back multiple times, and I was repeatedly told that they had pressure-tested the cooling system and that there were no pressure issues and everything was fine. They also told me there were no warning lights indicating a problem. Meanwhile, I was constantly having to refill the coolant and pull over when the car overheated. One time I had to sit on the side of the road for about 45 minutes waiting for a friend to bring me coolant just so I could get the car home without overheating it. Eventually the car broke down on the highway and had to be towed. After all those previous visits where I was assured the cooling system was fine, I was finally told that the head gasket had blown and that replacing the engine would cost around $6,000. After I challenged that price, the estimate was suddenly reduced to around $3,000. I'm not upset that a Subaru developed a mechanical problem. I'm upset that I repeatedly reported coolant loss and overheating, and I was repeatedly told the cooling system was fine. The car eventually suffered a major failure anyway. I don't trust this shop and I won't be taking another vehicle there. If you're dealing with a recurring mechanical problem, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before continuing to rely on their diagnosis

He appeared knowledgeable about the repair and explained that the driveshaft would need to be removed. I supplied the proper differential fluid myself. What I was NOT given beforehand was an agreed-upon $500 price. After completing the work, he told me I owed approximately $500. When I questioned the amount because we had never agreed to that price beforehand, he tried to get aggressive with me repeatedly started yelling, "Just pay my money!" I had to make him wait before paying him until he stopped all the hollering Later, while I was in another state, I took my BMW to an actual BMW dealership for some totally different and was informed that my rear differential was still leaking. This was the exact issue I had just paid him hundreds of dollars to repair. I contacted him immediately. He initially told me he was going to "handle it." After that, he stopped responding to me completely. Since he would not resolve the situation, I disputed the payment through my bank. After investigating the claim, my bank credited me and closed the dispute in my favor. Based on my experience, I would be extremely careful dealing with this mechanic. Get the FULL PRICE in writing before he touches your vehicle. Get exactly what work he is supposed to perform in writing. Keep your receipts, messages, pictures, and any professional inspection or diagnosis afterward. And if you pay for a repair that you believe was not properly completed and the mechanic refuses to make it right, know that you may have options through your bank or card issuer to dispute the transaction. Provide them with your documentation and let them investigate it. I'm leaving this review because I wish I had researched his reviews more thoroughly before hiring him.
