Since then, I've had to switch dentists 3 times. The reason... the bar was high coming out of Stansell and was hard to find the same level of service. I finally have switched to insurance that is accepted by Stansell so of course I came back. Upon calling the front desk on Wednesday for an issue I wanted to get looked at for a 2nd opinion, I was given an appointment with Dr Kat the following Monday. And, the evening of the call, I received an email to sign up on the patient portal which allowed me to upload the xrays from the previous dentist along with my medical history. I walked in on Monday and the front desk had me just sign a HIPAA form and I was set..... efficiency! Gabriella(sp?) brought me in and asked for details of the issue I had. She actually discussed it with me face to face and even provided some recommendations based on her husband's similar experiences. All the other dentists offices seemed to just want to process you, not really sit down and discuss things (especially the last one I had). Then, Dr Kat came in and really went into some great explanations before and after her examination. I asked several questions and she answered them with full dialogue until I was satisfied. Then she offered up some possible recommendations that she'll know more certain when I come back in for a cleaning and new xrays since my previous cleaning was just a few months ago. I don't really give out 5 stars very easily but I had a hard time finding any reason not to in this case (should I deduct a star because I had to walk in the rain to get in the building as they didn't come out and hold an umbrella over me?... yeah you're right... too picky :-) ). Everyone in the office was very friendly, efficient and actually seemed to like their jobs! And, I know Dr Stansell reads these reviews so please tell your folks GREAT JOB! And, I'm glad to be back :-) By the way, if you haven't figured it out yet, folks.... I HIGHLY recommend this location of Stansell Dentistry!

What ultimately made me leave the clinic after 3 years is the horrible customer service and poorly run office. Regular cleanings that should take 45 minutes took 3 hours because of wait times. You can tell there are not enough staff for the number of patients being treated. The final straw for me occurred when I attempted to order a bite guard. My order was canceled without my knowledge and after a week of back and forth they still were not able to order the bite guard. I do not recommended this dentist and will be going elsewhere after this experience.

I haven't even seen these people and already they were difficult and the receptionist gave me a lot of attitude and instead of saying "we understand and have a good day bye" she said "I agree" when I just said it isn't a good fit at this time. This lady has no business running an office . I usually try to refrain from leaving bad reviews but I have to let people know this happened so others don't experience this. I'm really sad . My therapist recommended them and I can't use them now. If I am spoken to like a 3 year old over the phone, I can only begin to imagine what my in person experience would've been. The day I walked into Crabtree Valley Dental, I was greeted warmly by everyone and one of the front desk staff even came out and MOVED her car for me because there weren't any parking spots left. At my first appointment, they gave me a questionnaire asking me how I wanted to be communicated with (ex. "just do what you need to do, I don't want to know", "tell me everything", etc.) which I now don't understand why all doctors don't do! I was then formally introduced to every single person I encountered from the tech to the doctor all the way to the billing person. Furthermore, what initially began for mechanical reasons has now turned into an entire transformation of my smile. Every step of the way, each team member I worked with encouraged me to not stop until I was 100% happy, including and mostly Dr. Joy. In the beginning I figured they were just being nice, but they were not. Dr. Joy was so invested in me being absolutely content and confident in my teeth and smile again. Somewhere along the way I decided to also get gum contouring and she personally called the periodontist on more than one occasion to make sure everything went well and I was taken care of. She was also in contact with the prosthetist every step of the way. The last thing I was worried about (and then I'll stop rambling) was the temporaries looking funny while the veneers were made. I was apprehensive about sharing photos yet because these are just the temps and I chipped one by accident, but attached is a before and after! I didn't have a great before pic, but the difference is amazing. If you're in need of any dental work, I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Joy at Crabtree Valley Dental.

I am 41 years old and have never had a cavity and somehow, magically, Dr. Cochran discovered 1 definite cavity and two forming and wanted me scheduled to come in for a filling. I always get my cleanings every 6 months, floss, brush and mouthwash every day and have never been told previously that I have a cavity so I got a second opinion. I'm so grateful I did because there are no cavities in my mouth! Upon hearing other people's experiences this sounds like common practice there for them to make more money. Dr. Cochran has also said my mom magically needs two root canals after her first visit with him, she'll be going for a second opinion elsewhere as well.
