Since when is a root touch-up and base color $150?! According to your website, the price for a root touch-up has gone from $65 to $75 and now to $150. Even a full color service at $150 (before tip) feels excessive. I understand that prices increase over time, but this is a significant jump. Unfortunately, at those rates, I'll be looking for a different salon going forward. read more

My 1 star review is right on top of that old review and I noticed another client gave them a 1 star review and it was paired with an okder better review. I booked an appointment at Caroline's Salon because my regular stylist was fully booked and I had two weddings coming up. I was told this salon had a good reputation and I also appreciated that they're open on Mondays, which fit my schedule. When I first called, I spoke with Amy at the front desk and explained that I needed a color and cut, and that I specifically wanted someone who specializes in blonde hair. She recommended Bryanna and set me up with a consultation. At the consultation, I told Bryanna clearly that I wanted my hair colored and cut (at least an inch off). She confirmed that would be fine. On the day of my appointment, Bryanna applied the color, but my foils were only left in for about 10 minutes - much shorter than the 20 minutes or so I'm used to at other salons. After rinsing and blow drying, the color looked slightly lighter and natural, but nothing special. When I asked about the cut, she told me it wasn't scheduled. This was frustrating since we had already discussed it. She tried to see if another stylist could do it, but no one was available. Amy then suggested I schedule another appointment just for the cut. At that point, I was already unimpressed with the lack of communication and follow-through, so I declined. The experience felt disorganized and disappointing, and I left without getting what I had originally booked for. Moral of the story: I should have stuck with my regular stylist. Caroline's Salon did not meet expectations, and I won't be returning. read more

I went to caroline's about a month ago and i have never gotten more compliments in my life regarding my cut and color than i did this time!! i was with samantha, who was SO sweet and was so fun to talk to!! her consultation was very thorough and she literally gave me EXACTLY what i dreamed of, my hair was the perfect blonde color (so people have pointed out how pretty it is!!) and my haircut was a perfect blend of a couple pictures i showed. for a new stylist, samantha is genuinely so talented and so amazing at what she does, you would think she's been doing this forever!! i really recommend booking with her if you want the best hair experience!! read more

I found Caroline's salon through a friend recommendation and I've had such a lovely experience. The salon itself is inviting, beautiful, and cozy and you're always greeted by the sweetest ladies at the front desk. The salon is super clean and organized. Since I wasn't familiar with any of the stylists I made my first appointment with Bryanna and I've been going to her ever since (today was my 4th or 5th appointment with her). She's amazing. She is knowledgeable and very skilled. She's excited about learning and educating herself on new products and/or hair trends. She has the most lovely personality. Very easy to talk to. She takes notes and makes sure she does exactly what you want. She wants you to feel and look beautiful and I always feel incredible after leaving her. Super disappointed and frustrated. Had an appointment for a haircut booked for 4.30, and turned up 5 mins before scheduled time. At 4.50 I was still sitting in reception with not one update or check in from front desk staff. I couldn't keep waiting as I would be late to pick up my children. This is frustrating when you move things around and make arrangements and people don't respect your time. Doesn't make for a premium experience. read more

Desperately needed a hair cut because my hair looked like a mop and I needed a new look for a conference I was going to. Called last minute to get an appointment for the end of the day on Monday. They managed to fit me in. I didn't know Brianna and she was a junior stylist and she did a great job! She took her time to dry my hair well. Terrible Customer Service! Be Warned! Think Twice! I called ahead of time to see who was good with dark blonde hair for a root touch up. They put me in touch with Brianna. My hair ended up being rosy pink to the point my family commented immediately! I had a wedding to go to in two days and my hair had a pink tint. I used Color Oops and purple shampoo to try to repair the damage as I didn't have much time. I called the salon and they refused to provide a refund and would only offer a salon credit. Why would I want to go back??? I didn't even ask for the haircut to be refunded, just the disastrous color so I can use the money to go elsewhere to have it fixed. I even sent pictures to show the color of my hair. Atrocious customer service as I had to call multiple times to even get someone to call back. read more

I went in with high hopes after reading so many great reviews, but left with my hair looking exactly the same -- and a $275 bill. My stylist barely put in six foils, did a shadow root that was hardly noticeable, and on top of that, was cold and unfriendly. Overall, a really disappointing experience. read more

Super disappointed! I used to love this salon and I loved my cut and color yesterday (with Nat), which with extra hair treatment cost me almost $400. With generous tip almost $500. I had planned and saved for it. I parked in their lot which has a three-hour max parking meter. I was tracking the time and asked my stylist if I could run out and put money in the meter before it ran out- it was roughly $4.00 for three hours. My stylist said the salon is happy to add money to the meter so I don't have to run out- sounded great. At the end of my service I go out and see a $25 parking ticket on my car. I take a breath, and because they are at closing I just send an email with a photo of the ticket and time stamp. I get an email back today saying that they won't reimburse me for the ticket because I should have been tracking how far over the timed service we went. I was under the impression that when they said "we are happy to add to the meter" that they had it covered, and were in conversation with the stylist about how long the service was running. To add insult to injury the response said that the lot usually doesn't ticket unless you are a repeat offender. I am scrupulous about adding to my meter- because I don't have money for tickets!- so it just felt like the business was externalizing blame to avoid any responsibility. So unflattering! To the business/owner- please don't offer something you can't really do- that is adding stress and unnecessary costs to your customers- they are coming to you for a relaxing experience. Instead, explain your policy when you offer something - that you are not tracking time and it is the customer's job to do so; or for God's sake just let them go out to the lot and add to their own meter. I absolutely loved Nat's cut and color so huge kudos to her, but unfortunately I won't be back to this salon because this experience totally undid any relaxing self-care I otherwise experienced that day. Caroline's Salon, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Customer be warned. Don't take them up on their parking offer. read more

My daughter had a specific vision of how she wanted her hair colored, and even had drawn a picture of how she wanted it to look. Ariana did a consultation and took the time to do a color match to my daughter's drawing using a color wheel to make sure it was what she wanted. The appointment took a long time because my daughter has a LOT of hair - but Ariana didn't rush, even stayed a little past normal closing to make sure all the color set right. She gave us tips for how to keep the color bright; it turned out exactly as my daughter imagined. Two months later, it still looks phenomenal. Called and booked an appointment with a junior stylist for the very next day at 1130am. I was given a quote and told to expect to be there for two hours. I arranged to have a nanny for those two hours. When I arrived at the salon, the staff had no record of my booking and on top of it, were not at all apologetic for the inconvenience. They seemed careless and void of any sympathy. They nonchalant offered me an appointment for the next day and when I requested a discount for the inconvenience they made me wait for the manager (who happened to be there hearing the entire thing) tell me NO. And offer no other apology or even acknowledgement of the situation the predicament they put me in. Very unprofessional, thus I would not trust this type of people with my hair.
