Phil was quite helpful and the prices are a bargain for the antique. The teacup and saucer I bought had 24K gold painted lines. I browsed the rest of the store out of wonderment to see what other hidden treasures were preserved over the decades. He showed me dishware made of uranium. They glowed green under the light. He explained the dishware were made in 1888. After they learned uranium was dangerous, no more dishware were made. Whatever you find will only be for collection purposes. He has a good amount well kept as pictured along with other blast from the past cameras for the photographer aficionado. Stop by and see if you find something worthy for your taste in decorating, staging and collecting.

This was quite the unfortunate experience. I was so excited to have a thrift and vintage day and I had a tote bag with me for all of my shopping and farmers market shopping since it's a sunday... I walked in and greeted the staff, and did not get asked to put my bag away. If a store had an issue with it right off the bat, I have no problem with a bag policy. An example is the recycling bookstore, they ask you to put your bags with them and that's completely valid since they preface and have a storewide policy. Not a "customer profiling" policy. I then had an unfortunate experience where the male staff was following me and then later asked me to put my bag in the front. There were white customers in the store with bags similar and smaller sized to mine. I complied respectfully but I did not see anyone else with their bag in the staff storage area. I had my laptop with me as well and the front where they made me put my stuff was unattended and near the front door. I tried to brush it off and shop because I truly did have a mission to purchase a couple of antique items, but I felt so absolutely disgusted and appalled by the staff and their microagression towards me. The funny thing is, either if it was because I was young or brown, you shouldn't assume someone is capable of stealing when they could be your next best customer. First and last time i'm stepping foot into this sad establishment. I'd rather support businesses that respect their customers. Never have I been treated like this in another vintage or thrift shop. They also have knick knacks, jewelry, pottery, toys, art, and more. The store was quite busy with customers while I was there. It was nice to see. The staff was friendly and helpful, quickly opening glass cases when I wanted to see something. Their inventory is so large I found it difficult to see everything in one visit. Their prices are reasonable. I ended up buying some California pottery, a framed floral print, and an MCM trinket dish. I'm looking forward to returning and taking another look around the store. There is a parking lot in the back of the building. Note: Some vendors have modern items mixed in with their antiques. A quick Google image search before you buy is a good idea if you care about the age of an item.

Then when he said something I didn't hear right away, he again said very rudely that he was talking to me. Offended at his attitude, I tossed what I had been holding into the bin it had been in after which he told me to leave. And when I said he had been rude, he kept insisting that I was the one that was rude. If you're rude and dismissive with a customer, you will offend them and they will respond in kind. Miserable old man with a huge chip on his shoulder. I feel sorry for him.

Antique parlor set, 1920's dining table 8 chairs + buffet, Antique quarter-sawn bedroom set, 1950s high quality dresser, antique smokers cabinet, a WWI era radio, modern Bob Timberlake all were refinished in superior fashion. I think you will be pleased with the outcome, provided that you don't expect this is Nordstrom's in terms of service. Just remember that you are there to get the work done well at a good price. Don't expect: friendly greeting, to be called when your piece is done, any kind of chit chat. You may even feel that they are being downright rude. Just ignore that --they are old school woodworkers. I'd say, support your local craftsman and go to the mall if you want someone to treat you like a customer. My work was very good and they seem like salt of the earth folks. The older fellow is actually hard of hearing.
