At $65 for two dishes and two desserts,…read more Let's start with the positive experience, nice ambiance, friendly service and staff. Now to the food: Bangus Sisig is good, but nothing special. Pork Rib Adobo is HELLA DRY and over cooked, made my jaw hurt trying to chew it. Barely edible. Mochi Turon was ok, kind of doughy. Halo halo is good, basic. But all in all I would not come back unless I'm going to a gathering here where I'm not spending my own coin...

It was starting to get busy but we were able to be seated promptly. There was a small private party happening and I see they have a karaoke stage set up going on. But I think it's open to everyone because not just the private party were up singing a song. We ordered Lechon kawali, pinakbet, Kare Kare, steamed fish, and steamed rice. It took a bit of a while to get our order. But we got it eventually. The kawali seemed a bit overcooked. There was pieces of hard/dry lechon. The pinakbet was okay. Their Kare Kare is served unmixed. They top the cooked veggies on top the peanut butter sauced meat. The portion of the dish itself was a bit sparse. The steamed fish was okay as well. We also had ourselves halo halo. Which pretty much was probably the favorite of all we ordered. The karaoke performers made it entertaining during our time there. The dj had breaks in between for dancing on the dance floor space they provide. I'll have to try the place again and maybe later hours.

We had the purple-colored Ube Pancakes and the Khao Hom Waffle, which contained strips of fresh coconut meat, and both beautifully-plated dishes were topped with berries and syrup. I was an even bigger fan of the Thai side of the menu, starting with the Papaya Salad, a refreshing, crunchy mixture of shredded papaya, green beans, tomatoes, and crushed peanut in a spicy, sweet, acidic dressing made of fish sauce and lime. For our mains, the Northern Thai Khao Soi was a noodle soup made of egg noodles and chicken breast strips in a rich coconut curry, topped with crispy egg noodles, pickled cabbage, and fried shallots. From the Chef's Special menu, the Tom Yum Crab Omelet was a mound of jasmine rice enveloped with an egg omelet, topped with chunks of crab, mushrooms, and a creamy tom yum sauce; and my favorite dish was the Roti Gai Tod, a hearty combination of breaded chicken thigh, roti (a flaky flatbread), cucumber salad, jasmine rice, and a mild but flavorful yellow curry sauce on the side. Overall, everything we tried here was delicious, and the service was super quick and friendly too! It's hard to go wrong with anything on the extensive menu--what a great hidden gem of a restaurant in downtown Hayward!

Tom Yum Crab Omelette- the best one to get since it has creamy tom yum sauce, a soft omelette, drizzled with a slice of lime, and crab meat with a few mushroom slices on top of fluffy rice. Khao Hom Waffle- coconut pandan waffle with fruits and syrup on the side. I wish they replaced the syrup with coconut milk syrup for better flavor and used no coconut shreds as a topping. Ube Pancake (side order)- one thick ube pancake that turned out dry when eaten with syrup. Never order anything that is not Thai on the menu. They should add Thai Tea pancakes to their menu with housemade Thai Tea syrup to make it more fusion. Pad Kee Mao w/ Chicken- I regret ordering this because the string beans were half raw, the tofu was dry, and the dish was a bit spicy. I should've ordered Pad Thai or Ka-Pow Short Rib Benedict instead. Thai Tea- strong and sweet, not too watery. It was less crowded when we arrived at 10 am on the weekend. The waitresses were fast and efficient, and the restaurant was nice and spacious.

I had a great customer service experience and the sushi was amazing . I couldn't take a picture of everything because we were hungry and started eating before we can snap some pictures . We ordered 1. lion king roll 2 California roll 3. Deep fried Philadelphia roll 4. 49er roll 5. Shrimp tempura roll 6. Potstickers 7. Miso soup Everything was delicious so I can't pick a favorite roll but I must say it's the best sushi I have had in the hayward/unioncity/ Fremont area . The prices were also the cheapest , which was shocking because the quality of food was really good. I definitely will be coming back

This place was not good! What's up with all the 5 star reviews. We had a big bowl of beef udon,…read morethe scallop roll and mixed tempura. The scallop sushi rice fell apart - you couldn't pick it up at all. Like this is a bad sign when a sushi place can't make decent sushi rice. The beef in the beef udon was a little weird, like they tenderized it and they overdid it. The tempura was fine. The service was just as rude as a Chinese restaurant... I expect better service at a Japanese place. Won't be back. Honestly I think some of these yelp reviews are not authentic. Or written by people who've never had good sushi. I should have suspected something when we went in on a Sunday lunch and everywhere else was packed but here.

The grill was as big as it could be, for the size of the restaurant. But I could imagine when its busy it would take a while to get space on the grill. Luckily when I went this weekend, it wasn't busy and we had a lot of grill space to cook our food quickly. Was impressed by the chicken isaw! It wasn't bitter so you know it was clean. Also, I liked the longanisa! The sweetness was good with the suka. I got the cantaloupe juice, it was good but didn't have any shredded cantaloupe. Would come back though, maybe on a night where they have a DJ. Vibes!

Bruh, I was going to comment that the hours are silly on this Yelp page, went to go double check…read moretheir Google page and apparently it's permanently closed? I'm gonna check with my NorCal moots about this but sucks if that's true. I was going to comment on how this is one of few bastions of affordable, slightly more unique food in the bay area, but I guess that's not the case. I'm spoiled by having a Dollar Hits in SoCal literally down the street from me so I can't say this place compares, but it's at least an option for NorCal, you know? This definitely used to be another restaurant, but then retrofitted to be a grill. Super large grill in the middle for everyone to communally cook at indoors. This is a good combination between the outdoors grill it yourself and the indoors seating of both the SoCal Dollar Hits, so I thought that was nice. They have all the classics here, isaw (sometimes Dollar Hits doesn't have this unless you request -it's chicken intestines), large intestines, chicken skin, kwek kwek (battered quail eggs), and Tender Juicy bright red filipino hot dogs (a must). You can also order a side of rice and the sauces were self serve (made it a bit sticky). It gets a bit smoky in there even with the fans, but overall had an enjoyable time the time when I did visit.

When I asked him where he got the ribs, he said Famous Dave's. I knew that I had to try them out for myself. It was always one thing after another, but finally, I had time on a Wednesday afternoon. I didnt want to deal with a crowd and when I went, it was perfect. We were seated right away. Our service was Yanira and she was awesome. So friendly, answering all of our questions. I got the ribs and meat meal since I also wanted to try their chopped pork. My sides were Mac and Cheese and Tater Tots. When my order came, I got their special fries and before I could even say anything, another server came with a bowl of my tater tots apologizing for the mistake. No complaints here since I got another side. Everything was delicious. The ribs were tender. I also loved their BBQ sauce. I was going to order water, but since it was a special occassion, i ordered a Dr. Pepper and I was surprised that it came in a large mason glass jar. The Dr. Pepper wasn't peppering.....if you know you know, it just didnt taste strong, but I did enjoy that the drink was ice cold. They dont have coke, but serve pepsi products. The cornbread was perfection, warm and buttery. Disclaimer, the Mac and Cheese had corn in it, just stating if you care about that sort of thing. It was more on the saucy cheesy side. I never had Mac and Cheese like that, but since I love Mac and Cheese and I love corn so it was hit in my world. Portions are huge and I had to take some food home. Prices seem comparable to other places that serve BBQ. Lots of seating areas and I can see on special occasions or on the weekends, this place could get packed. Plenty of parking. This restaurant is off Winton, in the area where Panera is at. If you go all the way to the mall you have gone too far. I know that I will be coming back, I am curious to try their burnt tips.
