This is my second time ordering from here . The first time I ordered to go and I was impressed so I wanted to come in and sit down to eat . I had a great customer service experience and the sushi was amazing . I couldn't take a picture of everything because we were hungry and started eating before we can snap some pictures . We ordered 1. lion king roll 2 California roll 3. Deep fried Philadelphia roll 4. 49er roll 5. Shrimp tempura roll 6. Potstickers 7. Miso soup Everything was delicious so I can't pick a favorite roll but I must say it's the best sushi I have had in the hayward/unioncity/ Fremont area . The prices were also the cheapest , which was shocking because the quality of food was really good. I definitely will be coming back
We came to the restraint on a Sunday afternoon 3:30 ordered Ramen and Udon noodles and seaweed salad. The ramen did not taste like it's made with bone brother but rather bullion stocks, greasy and salty. the Udon was ok, very salty. The seaweed salad was gross, it didn't taste fresh at all, i think they added sugar to cover up the funky taste. It was not a good experience, Def won't be back again.
In a plaza full of asian restaurant right on Hesperian. We took to-go. Sushi was fresh, enough filling, well seasoned rice, good texture of grain. Crispy shrimps, the fried tensaku crunchies added perfect texture. We ate it almost an hour after picking up but still everything was perfect.
This place is down the street from where we live! Food is pretty good. We usually get the Wow Roll or the so Hot roll! They also have a stamp card where you get a stamp for every $10 you spend and when you get 10 stamps, you'll get $10 off. This place is definitely better than other sushi places close by.
Our favorite sushi spot. When we crave sushi, we to here. The sushi is fresh and just delicious . I always get their sashimi combo and saki. My husband loves trying the different sushi rolls. My kids always enjoy eating the rice plate or ramen. We also love the takoyaki. The service is impeccable. Our server remember us and she remembered our orders. Thats service right there! They also have stamp card! You get discount. The only down side..parking. It's so tight and always so difficult to find parking here.

I decided to try this place out for their ramen since it was the only one near me that had pretty good reviews. It's like a hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant in the middle of random shops in San Lorenzo. They're on the smaller side, and they do get busy. So if you have a bigger party, I would make sure to get there early. I ordered their black garlic ramen and the seared miso salmon. The black garlic ramen was not to my liking. Unfortunately, it was very oily, and it overpowered the base broth. I've had black garlic ramen from other restaurants, and they've definitely mastered the portion and balance; unfortunately, they overdid it here. Also, it took them a bit too long to put together a bowl of ramen. I did enjoy their seared miso salmon, so I do think they are known for their sushi. I would definitely come back to try out their other sushi.

Staff and Service: - Our waitress was very nice and quick to help us - Rolls are made fairly quickly Food: - We focused on the fusion rolls and enjoyed them. Each roll is quite large in size and not as expensive compared to other sushi restaurants Miscellaneous: - Parking available via shared parking lot with other businesses. Parking right in front is quite limited, but there are more spots around the corner (in the same parking lot)
Called and was told to call back due to business was busy. I was heading there anyway so I didn't bother. The clerk called back to take the orders which was nice so I didn't have to wait long. All the food I ordered was cleared out by 10 mins or less. Bay scallop is still our family fav. I know I know mayo mayo. Will lose weight later. The wait time was less than 5 mins and the extra ginger is always a plus. The price did go up so the inflation which was not surprised. Thanks for being so close and so delicious
Oh Fish is in the Lorenzo Mano strip mall and parking can be challenging as the strip mall is very popular. The restaurant is your average Americanized Japanese restaurant with standard menu items like sushi rolls, teriyakis, etc, although they do have a chalk board advertising specials which on our day of our visit was fresh oysters. My family members ordered a few sushi rolls and a couple of two-item bento combinations. The taste of our foods was OK. Nothing spectacular. I ordered 8 pieces sashimi lunch with an order of Futomaki. The Futomaki was pretty bland as it has a lot of artificial fish cake. The sashimi looked nice presented on a wooden platter and garnish of beets. However, the fish itself was not very high quality, and was cut way too thick to be enjoyed. I suggest you stick to the cooked foods which are better here and stay away from the raw fish items.
Was sick for a week and dying for soup so my fiancé and I decided to enjoy some ramen and udon on a cold Saturday night. There were maybe 3 other groups around 5pm so service was quick at first. We ordered the spicy ramen, beef udon, spicy tuna roll and the chicken gyozas. The ramen was perfectly spicy and the noddles were delicious. The beef udon was hands down the best udon I've tried. The flavor of the broth was spot on and the noodles were chewy. Definitely coming back for that soup! The spicy tuna roll was fresh and the gyozas were crispy but a little over cooked. Overall food was fantastic and we'll be back. What got us was the service at the end of our meal. At the beginning the servers were so attentive but towards the end we couldn't find anyone to pay. We ended up waiting 5-7 min just looking around for someone.
07-23-26: Today, there was a different woman working. She's extremely kind, and helped us recommend different items that we haven't tried. We got fresh oyster, black garlic ramen, and a salmon plate. I haven't tried them, but they tasted good! The place is still very beautiful.

I usually come here on Friday or Saturday nights, and they're almost always busy, but honestly, that has never affected the quality of the food or the service. One thing I really appreciate is that the staff actually remembers my preferences every time I come in. That kind of personal service makes such a difference and really keeps me coming back. The 16-Piece Sashimi is definitely my favorite. The fish is always super fresh, and the portions are surprisingly generous. With how expensive everything has gotten in the Bay Area, I really appreciate finding a place where you still feel like you're getting good quality and a good amount of food for what you're paying. That's honestly one of the biggest reasons I've stayed loyal to this restaurant. My second favorite is the Oh Fish Roll. The combination of fresh fish and those crispy tempura bits is SO good. You get the freshness of the fish along with that crunchy texture, and somehow it all just works perfectly together. I've been to plenty of sushi restaurants, but this is one of those places where I genuinely look forward to coming back. The food is consistently good, the portions are generous, and the staff makes you feel remembered rather than just being another customer. Definitely one of my go-to spots in the Bay Area. If you haven't tried it yet, I'd absolutely recommend giving it a shot -- especially the 16-piece sashimi and the Oh Fish Roll. I'll definitely be back! read more

More like 3.5 but rounding up to support the small businesses! Got a spicy miso ramen and four rolls (WOW, OH Fish, Double Hamachi, and Crispy California). The ramen was a 4 star - good portion, AMAZING char sui, wonderful soft boiled egg, and rich broth. Rolls were closer to 3 than 4 - nothing necessarily wrong with them but nothing particularly great about them. My fav was the WOW roll but my partner liked the OH Fish roll best. Either way, the choices are limited and I'd be more likely to return for the ramen than the sushi. read more

Sushi was amazing very fresh fish you can taste and presentation beautiful, the spicy edamame spicy yet not much flavor definitely needed bit salt. Service was very good even though super busy no complaint about it. The place bit small for my liking. Though the food well worth checking out read more

Oh Fish is such an underrated spot! One of my favorites in the area. Their portions are large and very delicious! They have a nice menu and drinks. My go-to is the dinner bento box with teriyaki chicken and crispy California rolls. Their chicken katsu is very good as well. We recently tried their spicy miso ramen bowl and it is SO GOOD!! Perfect for the colder winter temperatures. The broth base is pork, but you can pick the meat of your choice. I'm on a mission to try all of their sushi rolls this year. So far I've tried their lion king roll, which is yummy! The waitresses are attentive and friendly, and always make us feel welcome. There is limited seating but the wait is usually not long at all. Definitely one of my favorite comfort food spots that you don't want to miss! read more

I've been here a few times nice and I enjoy it! Parking can be difficult though. Parking lot is small. The lion king is always a nice one to get. The sashimi taste fresh and they give us a decent size! I like the rolls there in general. We also got the black garlic ramen this time and flavor of the broth was delicious! this place never misses!!! this little hole in the wall is easy to miss since it's tucked away in a shopping center, but trust me, it's worth seeking out. the customer service is phenomenal! always friendly, smiling faces with great attitudes. the quality of the food is way greater than the cost. every bite melts in your mouth! this is the kind of place that keeps you coming back because the food and service are consistently amazing. here is what we ordered: -the wow roll 10/10 -- if you like a bit of spice, this is a no-brainer! -the volcano roll 10/10 -- the crunch was perfect! -the rainbow roll 10/10 -- the ingredients tasted so fresh, it was delicious! -cherry blossom 10/10 -- the fish melts in your mouth after one chew. definitely a great pick! if you're looking for fresh sushi, generous portions, great prices, and amazing customer service, do yourself a favor and check this place out. you won't be disappointed! read more

My daughter and I went crazy today. Had a huge breakfast, skipped lunch and came here for Happy Hour with wide open eyes. Quality/Quantity - The owner shared that we had a choice of 30% off beer/sake or appetizers. The wife heard 30% off either or?!?! Communication was NOT clear from the owners, but then we could have asked more questions as when the bill came, she only gave us 15% off appetizers... And there was no information posted anywhere about the HH discount options other than the 30% off beer/sake. Today we over ordered the following: Complimentary Edamame - Thank you, but never enough for 3 people... Takoyaki - My daughter liked it. I would have preferred a longer fry, I felt the inside was too mushy/soft for me. House Chicken Wing - I enjoyed this, but the wings were on the smaller side. Chicken Karaage - Hard to mess this up. Good fry, decent portions, etc. A win. Ika Shioyaki - I have been craving this since my last visit to KP Market in Berkeley where they did NOT have any in stock. Hit the spot. Again, smaller in size than I was accustomed to. Passion Salmon - Good, but smaller than before...? Oh Fish Rolls - My favorite of the rolls, also their signature roll. Double Hamachi - Overall all rolls were fresh and good; but again, they all seemed smaller than before. I guess I need to revisit my past pictures...? Seafood Udon - Barely enough for one person, good thing we are light eaters. I can also make this so much better. I keep reminding my wife if I can make it better, please do not order it. But she was craving it, so we got it. Strawberry Black Tea with Lychee Jelly - My daughter liked it. Because the HH offer was either for food or drinks, they helped me NOT drink today. Thank you, but it cost you a sale or two. Atmosphere - Small local business. Tight parking lot. We parked at the very end and walked to avoid headaches. Wifi - I did not use it. Service - Other than the miss communication (on both our parts), service was okay. The waitress was better than the owner. Loyalty program. Just noticed we did not get complimentary ice cream like our last visits... Price - $127 + tip. We way over ordered... Spent more than we should have, lol. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since September of 2022, and your previous success for Poke Star, which we still frequent. read more

This place went downhill. You could feel the quality slipping over the last few months and just confirmed that they changed ownership 2 months ago. No more free icecream at the end. Portions were insanely small. Sushi was falling apart. Staff couldn't keep up with the tables. So sad, I really liked this place. read more

Great hole in the wall spot for Japanese food! They are located in a plaza so there is plenty of parking. They have a bunch of sushi rolls and ramen bowls to choose from. They even have bento boxes and great deals for sushi trays! The WOW roll was our favorite. read more
I've been to Oh Fish Sushi & Kitchen twice and so far I've only tried the ramen. Both times I ordered the spicy miso ramen. It is not the best ramen I've had, but it hits the spot when you are craving it. I asked for extra spicy, but it really wasn't spicy at all. The egg also wasn't cooked jammy inside the way I prefer, it was fully cooked through. In my opinion, AOI Teriyaki & Ramen and Hanami serve better ramen. The service here is fine, nothing memorable. Parking, however, is always a hassle. The lot is small and there are never enough spots. I do want to come back and try their bento box next time since it seems like a great deal. read more

Nice presentation. Ordered the sashimi nigiri combo. They used toro (the scraped/shredded part) for their Tekka Maki. It was good but therr seem to be too much rice and less tuna. The whole combo plate was just okay for me, some nigiri were good, the others are like so-so, there was a couple of fish that I did not like. Just taste preference, but they were fresh. Oyster was just okay too. I like tasting brininess and on this, there seem to be none... the sauce overpowered it. I did like the free edamame, that was a nice touch. read more
We were sat very quickly . I like that they were busy. That says a lot about a sushi place. I was happy with the service they were very fast . Our food was really good and the tea was filled a few times. The sushi was perfect . I got the Philadelphia roll. It's my thing. I like how they prepared it and it was exactly like it was described. I will be back. The parking is special so so may have to park in the lot a little away - it's easy though. It's located in a strip mall so there's lots of people around . read more

Visited our favorite sushi in the east bay again! Like usual we had amazing nigiri. Had Japan Tai (bream), hamachi, Kampachi, o-toro, toro gundam, fresh oyster, seared miso salmon. All delicious and fresh. Special menu is always varied and super fresh so I always try a couple things on there. Chicken karage portion is large and crispy. Love the karage breading and sauce. Mixed tempura is really good, the breading and dipping has great flavor, on par with shops that just sells tempura. Very authentic Japanese flavor, even compared to sushi and tempura in Japan too. Owner is always warm and welcoming. Works 7 days a week, all day every day. Picks greatest selection of sushi. His dedication for delivery great quality shows. They're still doing the $10 off stamp card since opening which is nice. Not sure about lunch bento discount and dinner appetizer discount now. Very popular, seems busy on weekends during meal time but not too bad when we went around 2:30. People started showing up around 3:30p on a Saturday, so probably will have a line by 5pm is my guess. read more

My family always enjoys sushi so we found ourselves here for dinner one evening. It's tucked away in an old strip mall on Hesperian, nothing fancy but it works. We got a combination of rolls and a chirashi bowl. We got a rainbow roll, passion salmon, and a dragon roll. The rolls were good, I liked how they added a good amount of tobiko, they were decently sized, and they weren't drowned in sauce. Chirashi bowl was as expected but didn't blow us away. Overall, a decent option for sushi in the area but not sure I'd go out of the way to eat here as we felt the fish could have a been a little better. read more

Hands down some of the best ramen I've ever had. I ordered the spicy black garlic ramen and it was incredibly flavorful. Unlike other places I've been to, they do the egg absolutely right here--you can tell it took days to a week of marinating to get that much flavor into it. The pork belly was super soft, too. I don't remember the last time I had ramen this good. Definitely coming back! read more

Service was 100000%! Sushi was great, but ramen was mediocre in that the egg was really sweet and the chasu, while obviously torched which was a nice touch, was a little gamey. It's definitely family friendly, ambiance was very casual. When I looked around, most people ordered the rolls and very very generous bento boxes. They give you a small scoop of orange sherbet at the end which was a nice touch. Parking is super easy! read more
