It's like a hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant in the middle of random shops in San Lorenzo. They're on the smaller side, and they do get busy. So if you have a bigger party, I would make sure to get there early. I ordered their black garlic ramen and the seared miso salmon. The black garlic ramen was not to my liking. Unfortunately, it was very oily, and it overpowered the base broth. I've had black garlic ramen from other restaurants, and they've definitely mastered the portion and balance; unfortunately, they overdid it here. Also, it took them a bit too long to put together a bowl of ramen. I did enjoy their seared miso salmon, so I do think they are known for their sushi. Called and was told to call back due to business was busy. I was heading there anyway so I didn't bother. The clerk called back to take the orders which was nice so I didn't have to wait long. All the food I ordered was cleared out by 10 mins or less. Bay scallop is still our family fav. I know I know mayo mayo. Will lose weight later. Oh Fish is in the Lorenzo Mano strip mall and parking can be challenging as the strip mall is very popular. The restaurant is your average Americanized Japanese restaurant with standard menu items like sushi rolls, teriyakis, etc, although they do have a chalk board advertising specials which on our day of our visit was fresh oysters. My family members ordered a few sushi rolls and a couple of two-item bento combinations. The taste of our foods was OK. Nothing spectacular. I ordered 8 pieces sashimi lunch with an order of Futomaki. The Futomaki was pretty bland as it has a lot of artificial fish cake. The sashimi looked nice presented on a wooden platter and garnish of beets. However, the fish itself was not very high quality, and was cut way too thick to be enjoyed. I suggest you stick to the cooked foods which are better here and stay away from the raw fish items. read more

We ordered the spicy ramen, beef udon, spicy tuna roll and the chicken gyozas. The ramen was perfectly spicy and the noddles were delicious. The beef udon was hands down the best udon I've tried. The flavor of the broth was spot on and the noodles were chewy. Definitely coming back for that soup! The spicy tuna roll was fresh and the gyozas were crispy but a little over cooked. Overall food was fantastic and we'll be back. What got us was the service at the end of our meal. At the beginning the servers were so attentive but towards the end we couldn't find anyone to pay. Oh Fish Sushi is located in the Lorenzo Manor Shopping Center. They are in a strip parking plaza with a very cramp and narrow road, so it is difficult when two cars are coming from opposite directions. The restaurant is small and it does get busy around dinner time, so I recommend ordering to go ahead of time. I call ahead, so it is usually pretty quick, but lately they take longer than the given time for pick up. It is not the biggest deal though because the employee working the front end is usually pretty nice. I also like that they have a stamp card as well. I usually order their California Hand Roll, Sake Maki Hand Roll, Sake Maki Roll, and Sake Nigiri. I usually enjoy their salmon because it is fresh, but the last couple of times I went, the salmon did not taste fresh with a slight upset stomach. Been coming to this sushi spot for years now, and it's easily our go-to place when we're craving sushi. After all this time, we've gotten to know the staff, and they're always super friendly, it's one of those places that just feels comfortable every time you walk in. As for the food, we've got our regular lineup. My favorite is the California tray, it comes with the 49er roll, rainbow roll, and super California roll, which is basically the perfect combo. My younger son is all about the karaage with a side of rice, while my older son goes straight for the salmon poke. My wife usually switches between the Lion King roll or the ramen, and we almost always get the agedashi tofu too. If you come a little later in the evening, they've got happy hour prices on appetizers, which is always a nice bonus. They also do stamp cards, so once you hit a certain amount, you get $10 off-can't complain about that. I will say, they used to give out free ice cream after dinner, which was a nice touch... kind of miss that. But honestly, everything else still keeps us coming back. Oh Fish is such an underrated spot! One of my favorites in the area. Their portions are large and very delicious! They have a nice menu and drinks. My go-to is the dinner bento box with teriyaki chicken and crispy California rolls. Their chicken katsu is very good as well. We recently tried their spicy miso ramen bowl and it is SO GOOD!! Perfect for the colder winter temperatures. The broth base is pork, but you can pick the meat of your choice. I'm on a mission to try all of their sushi rolls this year. So far I've tried their lion king roll, which is yummy! The waitresses are attentive and friendly, and always make us feel welcome. There is limited seating but the wait is usually not long at all. I've been to Oh Fish Sushi & Kitchen twice and so far I've only tried the ramen. Both times I ordered the spicy miso ramen. It is not the best ramen I've had, but it hits the spot when you are craving it. I asked for extra spicy, but it really wasn't spicy at all. The egg also wasn't cooked jammy inside the way I prefer, it was fully cooked through. In my opinion, AOI Teriyaki & Ramen and Hanami serve better ramen. The service here is fine, nothing memorable. Visited our favorite sushi in the east bay again! Like usual we had amazing nigiri. Had Japan Tai (bream), hamachi, Kampachi, o-toro, toro gundam, fresh oyster, seared miso salmon. All delicious and fresh. Special menu is always varied and super fresh so I always try a couple things on there. Chicken karage portion is large and crispy. Love the karage breading and sauce. Mixed tempura is really good, the breading and dipping has great flavor, on par with shops that just sells tempura. Very authentic Japanese flavor, even compared to sushi and tempura in Japan too. Owner is always warm and welcoming. Works 7 days a week, all day every day. Picks greatest selection of sushi. His dedication for delivery great quality shows. They're still doing the $10 off stamp card since opening which is nice. Not sure about lunch bento discount and dinner appetizer discount now. Very popular, seems busy on weekends during meal time but not too bad when we went around 2:30. We got a combination of rolls and a chirashi bowl. We got a rainbow roll, passion salmon, and a dragon roll. The rolls were good, I liked how they added a good amount of tobiko, they were decently sized, and they weren't drowned in sauce. Chirashi bowl was as expected but didn't blow us away. All the fish tasted fresh and the rainbow roll is exactly what you would expect. They were generous on the cuts. For $35 I feel like this was well worth it! My husband got the miso ramen and I had a taste of the broth. We both agreed it was just okay so I couldn't say I'd recommend it. I would 100% be back for the sushi though. I didn't care for the crispy California roll, the dough on the outside was soggy. None of the rolls were spicy. They gave me a punch card that's good for once stamp every $10 spent (pre-tax) and it's good for $10 off your order once fully filled out.
