Awesome service at the To Go counter, the guy at the register was really chill. The food is always top notch when ever I go!

I saw my friend post pictures of his food on Instagram, specifically a close up shot of RIBS. Now, anyone that knows me, knows that I love me some ribs....mmmmm, mmmm! When I asked him where he got the ribs, he said Famous Dave's. I knew that I had to try them out for myself. It was always one thing after another, but finally, I had time on a Wednesday afternoon. I didnt want to deal with a crowd and when I went, it was perfect. We were seated right away. Our service was Yanira and she was awesome. So friendly, answering all of our questions. I got the ribs and meat meal since I also wanted to try their chopped pork. My sides were Mac and Cheese and Tater Tots. When my order came, I got their special fries and before I could even say anything, another server came with a bowl of my tater tots apologizing for the mistake. No complaints here since I got another side. Everything was delicious. The ribs were tender. I also loved their BBQ sauce. I was going to order water, but since it was a special occassion, i ordered a Dr. Pepper and I was surprised that it came in a large mason glass jar. The Dr. Pepper wasn't peppering.....if you know you know, it just didnt taste strong, but I did enjoy that the drink was ice cold. They dont have coke, but serve pepsi products. The cornbread was perfection, warm and buttery. Disclaimer, the Mac and Cheese had corn in it, just stating if you care about that sort of thing. It was more on the saucy cheesy side. I never had Mac and Cheese like that, but since I love Mac and Cheese and I love corn so it was hit in my world. Portions are huge and I had to take some food home. Prices seem comparable to other places that serve BBQ. This restaurant is off Winton, in the area where Panera is at. If you go all the way to the mall you have gone too far. I know that I will be coming back, I am curious to try their burnt tips. It has been a long time since I've been here and it still is a great place to get bbq. The menu has a lot to choose from, we went with the bbq plate for 2 but it's enough to feed 3 to 4. Excellent sauce flavor, plus on the tables they have an assortment of sauces to add a little kick. The chicken and ribs were cooked to perfection. The meat fell right off the bone. The pork was so tender it melted in your mouth. The beans and coleslaw had great flavors. The plate included some cornbread that was baked with honey and butter that gave it a nice crust on top. Ordered via Door Dash. We got the three meats (rib tip, brisket, and tri-tip) and added burnt tips. The combo comes with cornbread, pickles, pickled onions, fried onions, and broccoli. My favorites were the tender and flavorful burnt tips, tastes like char siu, and soft cornbread. My least favorites were the tri-tip and rib tips which were dry and overdone. I got their chopped pork platter with garlic mashed potatoes and Wilber beans (comes with corn bread topped with honey butter). Flavor is king here...chef offers nuanced and balanced flavors. Vinegar based coleslaw with fresh herbs is very refreshing. Garlic mashed potatoes packs a real punch. Wilber beans are indescribable (meaty, smoky, vinegary and saucy). Best beans ever! read more

I was going to write a really long review about how bad my experience at Famous Dave's was, but I decided to summarize it instead. From start to finish, the service was incredibly slow. I ordered sweet tea twice, and got regular tea twice. I ordered the BBQ nachos, and there may have been a misunderstanding, but I got BBQ nachos with brisket. I thought I was getting pulled pork. Some of the meat was cold, some of the beens were cold, and all of the chips were cold. Also, some of the chips were stale, the brisket was dried out, and there were some sad looking pieces of lettuce on top. I was unimpressed, but hungry, so I ate the food anyway. I got the bill and it was $56.00! My server billed me for another table's food.l by mistake. Once driving up to drop off groceries and food for my M-I-L. Then driving home we decided to actually eat here. We shared a three-item combo plate with burnt ends, bbq pulled chicken, and Roasted chicken. Our sides were the mac & cheese and French fries. The chicken was tender and juicy. The wait was nonexistent so we were in right away however we ordered drinks from the bar and it took forever to get and then the drinks didn't even taste that good like they didn't even do the recipe right or they use the right ingredients. Then even though the food came out really quick, it was super dry. Why would it be so dry if it came out so quick? And I'm not sure who the manager was because the only people we saw were girls in Famous Dave's T-shirts so I don't know if the managers wear the same as the servers but they all looked the same to me. OMG... Famous Dave's management, whoever approved that "OVERCOOKED ROAST BEEF" you call brisket needs to be reassigned to the dish washing immediately. I honestly felt ashamed for you. And let's be real -- you only let that thing leave the kitchen because it was a to‑go order. I know a "we hope they're already home before they realize" move when I see one. This brisket was hella salty, dry as heck, and tough. Even the fat was fighting for its life. And the slice of bread under it? What was that for? Decoration? Because trust me, there was NOTHING on that meat for the bread to absorb. I've never seen brisket that black before. And I don't mean burnt ends -- I mean the part that's supposed to be pink and juicy. Even my girl's BOUGIE ASS Frenchie walked away from it, and it has not problem licking the cat's butt. Now that I've gotten that off my chest: the BBQ chicken quarter was actually good, but the sauce tasted like straight Tabasco disguised as BBQ sauce. The rib tips had solid flavor but could've used a little more tenderness. Honestly, I just wish the brisket didn't ruin the whole experience.
