    French toast

Pretty basic and NOT the choice if you are looking for a healthy breakfast. Their biscuit did not taste fresh, but omelette was good. Service is nice and pretty quick. It has a vintage old style small cafe ambiance. You can pick wherever you want to sit and they come to take your order. Once done eating you need to go to the register to pay your bill. Pretty much in budget

Carols SLAPS fr fr This unassuming building hosts a cozy diner filled with history. The service was great, the food was hot and delicious, and the price was extremely reasonable. I will definitely be back and will recommend this place!

Breakfast was really good & came very quick via DoorDash. The portions for the price are perfect. Hubby and I ordered the pancakes (3) and bacon and French toast (3) and sausage. The pancakes are HUGE! More than enough to share or for leftovers. They were fluffy and buttery for the size. The French toast was really good. Not too eggy. Not sure what brand sausage they use, but it is GOOD! Will be ordering from here again!

Good food, good and friendly service, in a very old informal dining room. Seems family owned with lots of regular clientelle for southern home cooking. Serve breakfast and lunch. Will be going back for sure. My wife especially loved the collard greens and fried green tomatoes.

Skip the other places and come here. This place is "down home" and been around forever because they have great food and treat you like family. It's the kind of place I've been searching for that rarely exists now (anywhere near the city). Don't let the outside or atmosphere fool you. You will walk away full and happy. And the menu selection is fantastic. Good southern food "meat & 3" at a reasonable price. Breakfast all day. Come stop in

Spinach mushroom omelette home fries and white gravy. Fluffiest damn pancakes we've ever had! So good!

Valleys Bakery - So flaky! Mini croissant

Definitely order anything that has flaky layers. You will be amazed. I bake gf treats a lot at home but Valley's is next level. "Pain au chocolate" anyone? Yum.

I finally got to try the things that Valley's Bakery is known for! And for the most part--amazing!…read moreIt's really cool to see how puffy and layered these gluten free pastries can actually get. Here's my two cents on what I got: Donut: I got in too late and couldn't snag a jelly donut, but I got a nice classic white choco one! The white choco gave it just the right amount of sweetness without feeling like I OD'd. I wish the donut itself had that pinch of ground nutmeg to further lend itself that classic donut taste, but overall not complaining. The inside looked so much like a regular donut! It was a bit denser than a regular donut, but a definite level up from the usual gluten free cake donut (which is really just cake). AMAZING feat and a huge step forward for GF folks who haven't eaten a "real" donut in years. Croissant: I had the mini croissants and I've experienced an actual good GF croissant about 10 years ago back in NYC, but I know how difficult it is to get these right!! These were definitely flaky and had a lightly buttery, savory taste. You can't compare it to an actual croissant (which I think can "squish" a little more when you hold it), but the flavor and the layers are spot on! Matcha white choco cookie: I can't believe how soft this thin-ish cookie was...and SO incredibly packed with flavor! The matcha hits you in the face without being bitter then the white choco mellows it all out. They have their cookies down like nobody's business! You want something that's guaranteed to be good? Get their cookie. I didn't try their others but based on the texture, sweetness, and topping ratios alone, I already know their other cookies are going to be off the charts! Tres leches parfait: I love me a good tres leches and this was COVERED in tres leches!! The whipped topping was just the right amount of sweet (aka not too sweet, but oh-so-milky!) and the flavor was just extra decadent. The only gripe is that the cake was a bit grainy, and I'm not sure where that graininess came from as I've definitely had non-grainy GF cake, but the flavor was so good it actually didn't bug me too much. Spinach ricotta feta turnover: We really couldn't resist that flaky exterior. The corners were decadent, light, and crispy. The inside was a little soggy from the filling, but there's a good chunk of filling in there so understandable if all that cheese oil gets up in there. My only qualm is that even though the cheese oil got all over the center, it also got all over our hands--like a LOT of oil. I probably could've wrung it out like a towel but we just ate it since overall it was quite tasty. With my last 2 visits, I'm still getting the feeling that cupcakes/cakes are not what they're known for, and to really stick with their pastries, cookies, and donuts if you want a bomb experience. I did see some guy walking out with a delicious looking hot dog though, so I'd encourage y'all to try that too. Service was also good, and the person working there was incredibly friendly and customer-oriented. I can see why this GF bakery is so famous nation-wide--great job, Valley's, at producing so many GF pastries that GF folks would've never dreamt of being able to eat ever again! Huge game changer!

Inside is lovely and clean with earthy decor and some toys for children by the restrooms. They also have a portable changing table available on request. I sat outside on the patio and they put a fan on me since it was warm. Lovely seats on the lawn shaded by a large tree as well as some deck seating. They have a large menu loaded with goodies. I found about 5-6 things I actually wanted at once but settled not he Veggie bowl and added chicken sausage. My bowl had sweet potato hash, cheese, kale, red peppers, red onion and mushrooms sautéed, topped with two eggs and my added chicken. It was a huge portion and it was really delicious. Perfectly cooked and healthy and loaded - the hash was phenomenal. My waitress was the sweetest and I really just enjoyed a lovely quiet lunch with the patio entirely to myself on a lovely summer afternoon. Couldn't have been better.

The owner had everyone in mind when it came to the food. There's a drink menu for kids and even something for the dogs . I ordered the coconut curry salmon . It was good . It lacked flavor, but I appreciated it for not being overly salty. My favorite meal was the avocado nachos. I have thought of them since my first time eating them. It is one of the most popular dishes on the menu. Ask long as it's offered I will always order it . The parking was a bit tight behind the house . When I arrived , I was very lucky to get the last spot . However , I noticed other patrons were parking next to the Root Canal office . It was an open area that appeared to be a makeshift parking area. There was outdoor seating, by which I saw quite a few people seating there . It looked cozy and no one seemed uncomfortable. As it was my first time there. I elected to eat inside. It wasn't a bad experience, but the home is very small . I can imagine it being congested . But I was there early on a Sunday . I can see parking being an issue on days that all of the businesses are open. However, I arrived close to closing time and had no problem parking directly in front of the shop. When I entered I immediately appreciated the decor. It gives tropical rainforest vibes! When I appreciated the counter I was greeted. There were two staff present. The gentleman appears to be a more seasoned employee and the female appeared to be in training. After looking at the menu I opted for a pistachio latte with oat milk and empanadas. I was told that they would be closing shortly. I believe I had about 30 min prior to closing time. This was more than enjoy time for me to drink a drink and eat my food. As such, I opted to dine in. The empanadas came out first. They were not my style. The pastry part was more like a corn bread consistency. I am accustomed to to emphasis being more of a dough like consistency. Additionally they tasted like something you just pull out the freezer and warm up. I would not order them again. When the drink arrived I had to confirm it was pistachio because I saw chocolate everywhere. The staff immediately recalled that I did not want whole milk and told me he had to re- make my drink. When it arrived for the second time the presentation was the same- it looked like a chocolate drink and not pistachio. When I took a sip I was shocked to find chunks of pistachios in the drink. I had to drink and eat the drink- interesting concept. I will say that the coffee taste on its own may be okay- however, collectively I was not a fan of this drink. Overall I do not have the best experience with the food or drink from this spot. I do give kudos for the ambiance and the service!
