    French toast

Pretty basic and NOT the choice if you are looking for a healthy breakfast. Their biscuit did not taste fresh, but omelette was good. Service is nice and pretty quick. It has a vintage old style small cafe ambiance. You can pick wherever you want to sit and they come to take your order. Once done eating you need to go to the register to pay your bill. Pretty much in budget

Carols SLAPS fr fr This unassuming building hosts a cozy diner filled with history. The service was great, the food was hot and delicious, and the price was extremely reasonable. I will definitely be back and will recommend this place!

Breakfast was really good & came very quick via DoorDash. The portions for the price are perfect. Hubby and I ordered the pancakes (3) and bacon and French toast (3) and sausage. The pancakes are HUGE! More than enough to share or for leftovers. They were fluffy and buttery for the size. The French toast was really good. Not too eggy. Not sure what brand sausage they use, but it is GOOD! Will be ordering from here again!

Good food, good and friendly service, in a very old informal dining room. Seems family owned with lots of regular clientelle for southern home cooking. Serve breakfast and lunch. Will be going back for sure. My wife especially loved the collard greens and fried green tomatoes.

Skip the other places and come here. This place is "down home" and been around forever because they have great food and treat you like family. It's the kind of place I've been searching for that rarely exists now (anywhere near the city). Don't let the outside or atmosphere fool you. You will walk away full and happy. And the menu selection is fantastic. Good southern food "meat & 3" at a reasonable price. Breakfast all day. Come stop in

Spinach mushroom omelette home fries and white gravy. Fluffiest damn pancakes we've ever had! So good!

As a recent…read morepart-time resident of Marietta, I was desperate to find some decent cheese grits and not the bland, watery kind with cold American cheese thrown on top!! What they serve here is the gold standard!! Thick, perfectly seasoned and the cheese is already in there. On top of that fulfilled quest, they even serve up some sturdy, delicious bacon rarely seen these days. As a bonus, my sourdough toast even arrived with some peach jam. Breakfast was made complete with scrambled eggs and served with a smile by the friendliest waitstaff I've seen in a while. As you would expect, Saturday mornings in a breakfast joint are busy. They were, but did the service go lacking? Not at all. The vibe was happy because they had a roomful of satisfied customers. I've done the legwork for you, so get on over there as soon as you can!

As I was preparing my coffee, the customer behind me--who appeared to be of the same race as the cashier--also ordered an orange juice. At that point, the cashier stepped over, retrieved the juice herself, and announced, "That's the last orange juice." I immediately stated that I had already been sold an orange juice and asked what I was expected to receive. I was then told I could have apple or cranberry juice instead. This interaction left me confused and concerned, as the only apparent difference between how the two transactions were handled was race. Regardless of intent, the situation gave the clear impression that I was treated differently based on skin color. Experiences like this are unacceptable and deeply troubling. All customers deserve equal and respectful treatment. If you are tired of racism in any way shape or form stand up and do not support this. Let them know by keeping your hard earned money and taking it somewhere else.

The atmosphere isn't as stuffy or as formal like a steakhouse in the city (e.g., Buckhead), but it's still nice. Book your reservation using OpenTable and get dining points. There's a big dedicated parking lot around the building with plenty of free parking. No valet. We had a party of five and shared a lot of dishes. Here's what I had: Classic Cocktails * Dirty Martini ($15) - Hanson Original Vodka, Foro Dry Vermouth, olive juice, pimento olives Appetizers * Oysters on the Half Shell (12 for $33) - cocktail sauce and horseradish; James River, Virginia Sides * White Cheddar Mac & Cheese ($9) * Hawaiian Roasted Brussels Sprouts ($11) - with smoked bacon and Parmesan cheese Signature Cuts * Cherokee Western Luau (14 oz steak, $54) - ribeye marinated for 48 hours in pineapple, soy and ginger, "a Cherokee favorite;" 1855 Black Angus Beef from Grand Island, NE House Specials * Black Jack Salmon ($34) - wood-grilled and basted with Jack Daniel's glaze and served with crusted mashed potatoes and EVOO broccolini Desserts * Bananas Foster ($12) - flambeed tableside We also got cheese bread to start (bread with melted cheese on top, with a creamy white sauce). Everything was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed everything, starting with the martini, which was well-made. The oysters were big, fresh, and tasty. The Cherokee Western Luau was recommended to me by our server. He was so convincing that my friend changed his order to get a Western Luau too. It was fantastic, perfectly cooked to medium rare. The salmon was terrific as well, nicely cooked, tender, and flavorful (another excellent choice as well). The Bananas Foster wasn't flambeed tableside as described on the menu, so that was disappointing. However, it still tasted good. Our server was Cason B and he was great. He made an excellent recommendation on the Western Luau and was just a nice guy overall. The hostess was friendly too and helped us take a picture in the lobby. Cherokee Chophouse used to be Cherokee Cattle Company. After COVID, it reopened as Cherokee Chophouse in November 2022. It's part of the Marietta Diner and Marietta Fish Market family.
