The dirty_coggins Instagram reel recommending the Crooked Tree Cafe's fried chicken biscuit came across our feed & we decided to try the establishment we've driven past many times over the years. We are very happy we gave it a shot. The fried chicken biscuit was phenomenal. We got the Hot Honey Garlic Sauce on the side so I could dip the sandwich. The sauce was hot (spicy flavor) so I was glad I could control the portion & alternate the savory fried chicken and biscuit taste without the added heat from the sauce. The wait on a rainy Saturday morning was reasonable considering there were quite a few other first timers in attendance. We could overhear other couples/families telling waitresses & hosts about the video. We also had the Smokey Scramble (with chicken) and a single buttermilk pancake - all of it delicious. Our waitress apologized for the wait & let us know the kitchen was busy but when the food came it would be worth it - and it absolutely was. I can't believe I've lived in Marietta as long as I have and never known about this place! Wow what an amazing brunch experience we had this past weekend! The food was phenomenal - I read about the fried chicken biscuit so we shared one at the table. It lived up to the hype ! The honey garlic sauce was just the right amount of spice and the biscuit was super light and fluffy! We got the brisket hash, smoked ham Sammy and veggie hash. We rounded out our meal with the cinnamon chip pancakes. The pancakes are sooo good! Not too sweet - really just right! Our server Jess was so delightful - she made the experience even better - she really got to know us which was just so nice! The place is tucked off Cobb parkway and there's only one way in and out of the lot. The decor inside is homey and nice - and they have a nice patio out front. I remember when this place first opened. Today was my first time visiting in many years and it is nice to see this small business maintaining the integrity of its purpose. I was greeted by a warm server who was happy to invite me to a table in the dining room. She served me fresh hot coffee with lots of milk as I requested. Throughout my dining experience, she kept my coffee topped off! The Smoked Turkey Hash was delicious. At first glance, the portion looked small, however, I was unable to even complete the meal. It was very filling. The dish was served hot and my eggs were cooked as I requested. The dinning room and bathroom was clean and fresh. Overall, it was very nice to return to this restaurant after a few years and experience this breakfast spot. They are still serving good food, fresh smoked meats with good service. read more

This has been a local Cobb County favorite of mine for years. Took my son for breakfast but he decided to have lunch. When we walked in it reminds you of a country kitchen, comfort food trope of place. It's not a big place but there's plenty seating inside and a few tables on the front patio. I ordered pancakes with chicken sausage and my son got the brisket sandwich with macaroni & cheese. The orders come out fast and service is in point. My son's sandwich was gone in minutes. He wasn't a fan of the mac - it was more like noodles with cheese sauce versus baked mac 'n cheese. My breakfast was yummy and super fresh, fluffy pancakes and what tasted like housemade sausage. Exterior Located on Cobb Pkwy right across from Ferguson Plumbing Supply. Interior Small and kinda dark but not unwelcoming. Several small tables and a few booths. Customer Service My waitress and the two other staff members were very friendly and accommodating. I specifically dropped in to try the brisket grilled cheese and when I found out that they were out of brisket, I was gonna head some place else, told them that I would check back another day - but they went ABOVE and beyond to try to find a sandwich and a side that I might like. There was a group of 5 - 6 construction worker dudes leaving just as I arrived. It was about 50 minutes before closing time and there were only 3 other customers - an elderly lady dining alone and a youngish looking couple dining in a booth, so I think I arrived after the lunch rush was over. Because of the small dining room, I chose a spot that was an equal distance from both of them. While I was dining - the male half of the couple took a large swig of his soft drink, then threw his head back and let out a HUGE loud belch. His female companion laughed as though it was the most charming thing she'd ever witnessed and I guess he felt so pleased by her response, that he chugged some more soda and treated us all to another longer, louder burp. They looked like college students and the waitress had mentioned to me earlier that she was a KSU student, so I genuinely hope these were not her friends. She saw and heard the guy (EVERYONE turned to look at him when he did it - both times) but she didn't say or do anything to reprimand him. No stars deducted for this. The food was absolutely fabulous, I had the pork plate with tator tots (fried to golden perfection), and creamed Spinach (this was amazing), served with a biscuit and homemade blueberry and pineapple jams. Those jams omg, pure delight. And they're for sale too. The service was amazing. Just a friendly and peaceful environment. Will be going back soon. What a great way to start my day! Headed into Crooked Tree where Daniel served our part of 4 with a few good recommendations. It was a groovy and eclectic vibe with nostalgic memorabilia donned on the walls. The music was nice and the homey atmosphere welcoming. The food was delish like some had been in that kitchen working hard. We all enjoyed our meals from start to finish. My favorite dish was the fluffy pancakes, with chocolate chips. So delicious! Great food and service! We had lunch there on Sunday. My wife had the Alabama Wrap, with the tastiest smoked chicken she's had in a long time. The Alabama style sauce was also a welcome twist. The sweet cream on it was just the right amount of sweetness that you don't need syrup. Each slice (3) had some cream sauce on it so it was plenty. Daughter had the pancake breakfast with bacon and scrambled eggs. Good and run of the mill. Husband had the open face omelet that he said was just okay but he wouldn't get it again. First, I love finding hidden little gems like the Crooked Tree Cafe. It's cozy and unpretentious yet its menu is impressive enough for repeat visits. I am in cancer treatment and discovered Crooked Tree Cafe because it's near my doctor's office. I come here as a treat for completing a treatment - it gives me something to look forward to on day a normally dread. This week I ordered their Summer Salad (fresh lettuce, peaches, pecans, chicken) with a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup. I devoured every morsel of both - so good! I wasn't expecting the salad to be so tastey, but it was maybe the best salad of my life. I told my friendly waitress that and she said it was quite popular. Today was pineapple (shockingly wonderful) and mixed berry. You could see some berries in there. Also, the two different bbq sauces for each of our dishes were homemade. Biscuits: there were a couple of ppl who found these just ok, so I am not sure we ate the same biscuits because I found them fluffy and flavorful. Meal: I got to Smokey Scramble with smoked chicken. Craving brisket for breakfast and living a little closer than I have in the past I immediately thought of his place today. When I arrived, there was only three cars in the parking lot. As I sat, checking the time and a few text messages, the restaurant began to get grouted. I was seated immediately by lovely server. She gave me a choice of places to sit. I ordered eggs, grits, toast, and brisket. There is an up charge. My $11 breakfast went to $16 very quickly. However, I did come for the brisket. I took care of househunting and making doctors appointments while waiting and enjoying My breakfast which arrived fairly quickly. I was slightly disappointed that it was not hot, but it was fresh tasting and delicious. All in all this is a wonderful place. Lots of regulars and friendly service. Crooked Tree Cafe helped satisfy my pancake craving. The pancakes were very light and fluffy and so worth the long wait. Because we had such a long wait we asked for a biscuit so we could try the pineapple jam and berry jam that the server brought to our table shortly after we were seated.
