We first ordered the Eggroll Sampler and our server told us we could get it but they were out of the tex-mex ones so we could double up on a different one, so we did. 10 minutes later she came back and now they were all the sudden out of the egg roll sampler as a whole which was very sad. We ended up getting the Crispy Brussel sporuts, which was ok, they were really dry and not much bacon at all. As well as the Chicken Potstickers, these were really good we liked them. Lastly, we got the Factory Nachos which were good but nothing special, the cheese was good but other than that the plate just felt overall cold and got hard quickly. The main food preparation area by the chef is in the back corner of the dining room and another kitchen in the back. For food, they offer a selection of homemade dishes with local and European influence including a selection of starters, soups, salads, main entrees (chicken, flank steak, pasta dishes, seafood, vegetarian), and housemade desserts. They also offer specials and a list of wine, cocktails and mocktails. The prices are moderate here. After checking out the Halloween decorations along town streets, I stopped by 21B Bar & Grill on Main Street, which is not affiliated with 21 Bar & Grill in Keene. I did not have a reservation since this was a last minute decision to have dinner here and I took a seat up at the corner bar. I was given menus to look at and I got an ice water to start. I was going to order the Beef Wellington Puffs for an appetizer, but they sold out. I ordered the Blini ($13 plus tax) for an appetizer and the Pumpkin Fettuccine Alfredo ($19 plus tax) for an entrée (special dish). The Blini came out first which were three dark round smaller pancakes topped with smoked salmon and crème fraiche. This starter was pretty good, but it did not resemble the blini in their online picture which had 4 stacked small light colored pancakes and less salmon. The Pumpkin Alfredo with a slice of garlic toast was a good portion of firm cooked fettuccine noodles smothered with a thick creamy pumpkin alfredo sauce (orange color). 1 thoroughly enjoyed this entrée and decided to get dessert, which was a Pumpkin Tiramisu ($10 plus tax) which was a small piece layered with espresso soaked ladyfingers, cool creamy layers topped with whipped cream. The check was presented which was $43.96 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food had was very enjoyable and the staff seemed pleasant. They were asking customers where they were coming from including locals from Jaffrey & Peterborough, folks from across the MA border, and myself driving from Concord after work. I will very likely return back here for dinner again so I can try out their French Hunter's Chicken, which looked very appetizing and one of their most popular dishes.

This most recent visit, however, was a total disaster. We went SPECIFICALLY for the seafood chowder that was advertised as a special and we went at 5:15pm because the couple we were with said the service is terrible and gets worse as the evening goes on. Most of the tables were occupied but there was an opening and we were seated after a few minutes. Before we sat, we asked if they still had seafood chowder and were assured they did. The table was bare. About 10 minutes later, the waitress brought salads. (We hadn't ordered our meals yet.) A few minutes later, she brought a carafe of water and 4 red Solo cups to the table. We still had not ordered and had no silverware or dressing for the salads. We were finally given a carafe of dressing for the salads that gets passed from table to table. How sanitary is that? Still no silverware to eat the salads we were given but hadn't ordered. The owner was walking around chatting while the single waitress was fighting tears and trying to do everything herself. How shameful - the owner could have cleared and set the empty tables and done whatever she could to help this poor overwhelmed young girl. Now at 5:45 she came to take our order. Two of us were getting the seafood chowder for dinner, the other two ordered it for an appetizer. Still no utensils. She came back after 10 minutes to tell us they were out of the chowder. That was the reason we went there. So, at 6pm (45 minutes after arriving) we left without eating which we couldn't have done anyway without utensils. My heart breaks for the waitress and I am appalled that the owner didn't help her at all. We will not be returning. If there was an option to leave a negative star review, I would have done so, but one star is the lowest option available.
