I will drive the extra 20 something miles to Tucson if I ever need to go to Urgent care again. I'm from out of town and needed to be seen. I called to make sure I can get an RX for what I need & im told that it was no problem and that they weren't busy. I drove up from Tubac & when I got there I didn't realize that it's an actual specialist office on one side and an urgent care on the other. I was told at the front office that I would need a pelvic exam. I inquired as to why I would need one and I was told that they would need to take swabs and send it out to their lab. I refused. I didn't come there for an annual. I have my own OBGYN in Vegas for that. I get called to the back where my vitals are taken and I was told I would have to give a urine sample. I inquired again as to why they would need that as I was not seeking pain medication, just a simple RX for Diflucan. I was told it would be sent to their lab for testing. Again, I politely refused and was told by the assistant, "Are you serious? Fine then! I'll let the doctor know you refused an order." Completely fine by me. Rude. I told her that I have worked in the medical field and know how billing insurance works. I also told her that a Pap smear and urine sample is completely ridiculous and a quick way to make money. I am far from naive. I get to my room and the Dr. Tulle came in. He tried to be condescending saying, "so you're aware that there are OTC meds for this right?" OF COURSE I DO! I had to explain to him that I don't respond to the OTC, hence why I was there. I began to explain to him that my diet changed drastically within the last couple days due to traveling and when my diet changes this is what happens. He tried to tell me I needed a referral to check to see if I have diabetes. What?? I definitely won't ever come back. If I ever need an urgent care again, I'll go to Tucson. read more

This is Express Care, not Urgent Care, and it does not include the 5 doctors listed under the logo above (those are Family Practice Physicians, and I am indeed pleased with mine.) The wait was minimal. The recommendation I was given in Express Care (tough it out and see a specialist) seemed disconnected with my most worrisome symptoms. Two days later, I instead went to the ER at Green Valley Hospital after running a high temperature, and with continued coughing and pain in my lungs. They did a lung X-ray right off the bat and identified bronchitis, checked for other problems, and sent me home with an antibiotic that cleared most of my symptoms within 24 hours. No more fever and severe nausea, and coughing began diminishing. If only Express Care would have sent me for an X-ray, but no! Go to Northwest Urgent Care or Green Valley ER over the Express Clinic unless you have the most mundane of issues. read more
