My main feedback: They claimed to be understaffed waiting for international students, but if that is the case, I would have loved to know what was closed before paying to enter or be offered the opportunity to return on a day when I could justify the ticket price. If either of these had happened, I wouldn't be dissatisfied.

Tucked deep in Pennsylvania coal country (i.e. the middle to nowhere) you can find the rollercoasters rising out of the hills and this cute little park that time has luckily spared. There's something for everyone here, and with rides and games being pay as you go you can have as action packed or as relaxed of a day as you choose. There's even a large pool in the park for the hottest of summer days. I can see why this place has its diehard fans. With ample camping and rentals around the perimeter you can turn a trip here into a full vacation easily.

Most of the rides are pretty short, including the roller coasters. It is a nice place to visit at least once. The ticket prices are fairly reasonable. My friends and I took the bus from Port Authority. It was about 1.5 to 2 hours from the city to Upstate NY. The park was very clean and well managed. The workers were friendly and attentive to visitors. One of my favorite parts was seeing the Lego architecture and landscape throughout the park. It's amazing what you can build with Lego! I definitely would love to come back and visit again.

We went for 2 days and the first warning sign was at the driving school where they no longer give out paper card licenses to the children. Small thing, no big deal. but it was noted. Then we go to the coast guard academy to drive the boats and I was told that I couldn't drive my own boat b/c they prefer to keep people in groups to keep the line moving. Every paying customer should have the right to have the full experience of a ride. That shouldn't even be a conversation. And to add insult to injury, that day was gray and rainy and there were literally 20 people behind us. The dragon rollercoaster was broken for over 3 hours. Then when it was up and running, they didn't allow you to wait for the first car (something all theme parks always allow) The ninja kitchen ninja kiosk had a broken computer and they couldn't take orders. The app doesn't work unless you refresh it constantly. It tells you that "wait times are not available" and / or that you can only view live wait times when "you are at lego land". Even though you're there. This makes it nearly impossible to plan your day accordingly. But the worst part, and the reason I'm ultimately writing this review is the waterpark. They only allow you to go in for 20 minutes otherwise you have to book ahead and pay per person for a total of 50 minutes. Scam, but ok. I tried to book the water park on July 30 for July 31 - but it didn't allow me to. So at 7:30am on July 31, I went to book the waterpark for 1pm ideally but only 3pm was available. More eye rolls, but ok. The final straw is when we show up to finally have our 50 minutes of glory - we were told that they closed it and didn't know when or if it would re-open that day and that was the final straw. Add another $40 per day to park as well. Never. Again.

The bathrooms were clean too. I recommend adding more small lockers like the ones they have near the food, near the kids area. It was a pretty far walk to do to store my son's allergy and asthma meds. Otherwise, great park and we had a great time. I already know we will be back !

We were let down around 10:55am and let into the water area promptly at 11am. We easily got three seats right in front of the wave pool. We had myself and a 36" tall kid and a 48" tall kid. 48" could ride all water slides. The 36" year old was relegated to the kiddie slides in the Kung Fu Panda area and the Arctic Zone slides but she still had a blast. The highlight was probably the hot tub. The kids loved that they could go in too-we made several visits throughout the day. The lazy river was also fun but the kids preferred no tube. There are two paths and one is less lazy than the other. The wave pool was fun without a tube and, actually, most people didn't have one. My youngest loved the dance party with King Julian from Madagascar. The Arctic zone has 6ish slides for 36"+. The Kung Fu Panda area has 5-6 slides also 36"+. We also spent some time in the Gabby's Dollhouse splash pad. This is for the VERY youngest guests. My 7 year old went on some 48"+ slides right next door and my 4 year old was done in 15 minutes. We also had lunch at the burger shack and it was decent for an amusement park burger and hot dog. We also secured a locker but could have in retrospect kept everything at the towels as long as I kept my bank cards/phone in my watertight case. Free parking which was nice but just know you have to walk up a lot of stairs and ramps to get up to the park. Getting into the park was easy and there were a lot of bathrooms, changing areas and lockers for purchase. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting unless you went into the ski lodge so definitely wear shoes around if you can. There was plenty of chairs available and a lot of them were shaded by giant umbrellas, luckily the day we went it was mostly cloudy. There are a decent amount of slides, an Olympic sized pool, a wave pool and 2 kids areas. One was more toddler-friendly and the other was definitely geared towards kids a little older but half of the slides on it were closed. Multiple lifeguards at every slide or pool which was nice. Lots of life jackets available in many sizes. Water was a bit cold as it's not heated at all. Food options were a bit limited, possibly because it was a Monday. The main area had a couple of food trucks with mac and cheese, fries or tacos and a Belgian waffle stand. You got a lot of food for not a bad price, but wish there were some more options. Would definitely recommend going on a weekday though as weekends likely get very busy. Would definitely recommend coming here for a good summer day trip!

When we arrived, everything was up and running as if it were daytime. All the games, rides and attractions were in service. I rode Go Karts for the first time in yearrrs and I actually came in first place. Me! That was dope. The BIG FUN though was all the water rides. Lazy River, pool tubing and the main pool were all open and full of people ready for a great time. We were treated to a DJ who understood the crowd assignment and shoutout to the most wonderful staff. All employees on this night were in a great mood and they gave party vibes too. The promoters didn't over sell this event, so crowds and lines weren't a problem at all. I had such a blast that I wasn't even mad about getting my phone wet. I'm looking forward to going back to The Funplex for another After Dark night out. I thought they were gonna shortchange us but that didn't happen. We were given the whole experience. Good stuff!

My wife and I were headed to the Ross Zoo but opted out at the last minute due to the rain. This place is not designed for a couple of senior citizens to walk around but since I was here I decided to take a look outside. The outside walk through was magnificent and I could see my three grandchildren (one girl, two boys) truly enjoying all the touch and explore exhibits. Sound, flowers even a small playhouse. This type of exhibt really forces the children to use their sensory abilities including their imagination. One obvious observation is the tremendous use of color here. The design will surely captivate the children KUDOs to the team of the Discovery Center of the Southern Tier.

But you don't have to care about snapping cute pics to appreciate that Fairy Tale Forest is an absolute wholesome delight for children and for adults to live their childhood nostalgia. There is a real magical forest feel as you wander through the park, which isn't large, but the life-size storybook cottages and fairy tale sets are beautifully detailed and lovingly restored. The grounds are clean and well-manicured (a sign says the gardens are curated by Raine Garden Designs). A list of daily events & activities are posted such as magic shows, live music, and character meet & greets. The staff and actors are all warm and friendly. My child loved running around and exploring, participating in the activities, but I enjoyed it just as much if not more. There are shaded picnic tables under umbrellas (next to the Bluebird Stage so you can catch a show while you eat). The food is from the on-site restaurant Fables, and is quite good, certainly better than your average amusement park fare (I was really happy to get a proper salad!). The restaurant is only open for private parties/events/rentals at the moment, but I'm told they hope to have it up and running at some point. The interior is also themed. There is a reasonably priced gift shop with a nice selection of toys, souvenirs, costumes, and gifts. I would say this park is suitable for younger kids, maybe up to 8 or even an unjaded 10yo (have your kids dress up as knights, wizards, princesses, and fairy tale characters!). It's also kind of a cool spot for a date. This is an "analog" park with some animatronics, and you shouldn't expect any dazzling razzmatazz or high-octane thrills. Six Flags it ain't. But come with the right mindset for the unique experience this is and you won't be disappointed. It's good ol' fashioned throwback family fun and brings back an era that doesn't exist anymore. Indeed, many NJ locals have fond memories of this park from when they were young. It was built in the 1950s by an industrious German dude and features scenes from Grimm's Fairytales that his mother used to read to the family, and was expanded with more set pieces over the next couple of decades. Unfortunately it closed down in 2003 and FINALLY reopened last year, after efforts were stalled during the pandemic. All I can say is goooo and visit this charming, singular, and uncorporatized attraction, and support a still founding family-owned local business. It's a complete joy!
