Amazingggg food, every dish is goodand fresh!!! Their seafood dishes are lowkey slept on, they're incredibly flavorful. I try to reserve 5 stars for restaurants that truly deserve the rating. Well this place does deserves the five stars. Although this restaurant has been on our list of places to go, the Dine LA menu looked great and got us to move. First off our waiter, Hrair, was extremely patient explaining all 10 mezzes (appetizers) and the 3 main course meats. The muhmarra and cheese fatayer (boreg) were awesome, the flaming soujouk was tasty and fun... by the time the main course arrived we were full of goodness. But in the end, we had to have the ossmanlieh (kenfeh B"l'astha), a savory and slightly sweet cream with flaky shreded wheat desert with Armenian coffee. The food is always good.This time the only thing that was disappointing was the long wait for the food on a Tuesday night and the host (Girl with long dark hair)I believe her name is Aline or Alina was horrible.Very rude and not professional.If you are not in mood plz don't come to work.When we got there she said 45 mins wait but I saw lots of empty tables.With 45 mins wait I'm not sure if we could've order any food because the kitchen closes at 9pm.We got there at 8pm.She didn't want to accept any body I guess.I did online reservation and went to her in 5 mins.My husband told her we have reservation and she said ok and she gave us a table immediately.Can you believe this !!! Enjoyed an excellent lunch spread thanks to a recommendation from a friend at my karate dojo. The decor inside is beautiful and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. There are ample vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. The cabbage salad was a tad salty, but other than that, the ingredients all tasted very fresh. I was pleased with the bulgur (cracked wheat) side as it was not as greasy as I recalled from other Mediterranean restaurants. My younger son who is very finicky when it comes to trying ethnic cuisine, devoured his filet mignon with sides of fresh tomatoes, rice, and pita eagerly. I have eaten here a few times and the food is always delicious! The servings are large and they have a good variety of appetizers and entrees. You can get cabbage salad, rice or bulgar or fries with your dish. You also get a dish of olives, veggies and cheese for the table to share. I didn't remember the cabbage salad being so strong tasting (of vinegar). The chicken shawarma and filet mignon kabobs were flavorful and filling. The baba gannuj (roasted eggplant dip) is the best and I could eat the whole serving - the way they make it is different than other restaurants and the roasted flavor comes through with a little garlic and lemon. Service was so-so. Our server was not friendly and wanted us to order two mins after we sat down; he sighed when we were not ready. Okay mister, we just sat in 2 hr 45 mins of traffic to get here, please give us a minute. Also later when our food came and my aunt felt like her order was mixed up -- he stone-faced replied: no that's what you ordered! Wow. I mean he was prob right, but she also came from Forest Lawn right before so maybe just don't be so rude, because you don't know what people are going through. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and is all decked out for the holidays. We were able to get a table for 2 without a reservation on a Friday, but I'd recommend reservation for a bigger party. Service was great with our waiter checking on us repeatedly and refilling our water. He recommended the Hafleh Beiruti family style platter since it was our first time there. We loved getting to try so many dishes and took home the rest as leftovers. The kebabs were all excellent, as was the hummus. The tartare wasn't our favorite--it seemed to lack flavor. The cabbage salad was excellent, as was the jajek. We also loved all three hot apps - the fatayer, kofta, and maaneh. We had the absolute best time here over the weekend!! I came in with a group of 10 and we had a lovely round table that made it easy for a family style meal of sharing as well as conversations!! The place was hoping and boping on a Saturday night! The entire restaurant was full of people celebrating birthdays, laughing, eating and just enjoying life!! So many big groups and they do an amazing job accommodating everyone so everyone has the best experience. The food was soooooo yummy and a few of us vegan ones had an entire half of the table of options which was super nice! Most of their meat dishes have a vegan option so that was a huge benefit. The ambiance makes you feel like you're somewhere deep in the Mediterranean and it's such a relaxing break from reality. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
